The store is run by volunteers, and the profits fund St. Luke’s Outreach Ministry partners. DIAPER DRIVE NOW-MAY 15 Our goal is to collect 100,000 diapers between now and May 15! You can drop off diapers of any size (new, unopened packages) at the church on Sunday mornings or M-F between 8:30AM and 5PM. Here are three ways to get involved: • Register to attend the 2022 Diaper Summit. • Sign up to bring diapers or donate to purchase diapers. • Volunteer to help behind-the-scenes for the Summit. Learn more and get involved at stlukesumc.com/diapers. 2022 DIAPER SUMMIT APRIL 30, 2022 9AM-NOON Attend our first-ever Diaper Summit to learn how diapers can change the infant mortality in Indiana. Here you’ll discover why a Diaper Pantry is the first step in St. Luke’s vision for City Impact. The Summit will include: • Expert speakers including Rachael Suskovich, CEO of the Indiana Diaper Bank. • Awareness and next steps to solutions. • A family-friendly, hands-on service project to bundle diapers for community members who are struggling to provide their children with clean diapers! Childcare is available for birth-4th grade, but you have the option to have your children join you for the service project portion of the morning. Learn more and register at stlukesumc.com/diapers. GRAD WEEKEND SUNDAY, MAY 1 St. Luke’s high school and college graduates will be celebrated May 1 with acknowledgment of their accomplishments during services. We’ll also have an Open House in the Great Hall for our high school seniors. SENIORS NIGHT SUNDAY, MAY 1 • 4-6PM The school year is ending, and it’s time to honor those who are graduating. Celebrate with us at Seniors Night! You can even choose to come dressed as a senior. This event is 100% FREE for everyone! Registration is requested, but we will always accept walkins! LUKE’S Join us for an afternoon of fun, faith, and fellowship while enjoying tea sandwiches and sweets! Wear your favorite hat from vintage to contemporary. You will be treated to a powerful and inspirational performance by the Freetown Village Players. This is a great event to bring your kids, friends, and moms! VBS JUNE 6-10 • ALL-DAY (9AM-4:30PM) & HALF-DAY (9AM-12PM) OPTIONS AVAILABLE This year VBS is all about changing the world! We think it’s possible for kids, volunteers, and families to create a ripple effect that can impact the world around them in ways they will never forget. God put you onto this planet to do the same thing—to make waves! Join us for a week-long adventure and discover the ways God created you to change the world! The morning will include worship, games, small group time, crafts, snacks, and more! The afternoon will also include lunch, games, service projects, music, art, and lots more! Sign up at stlukesumc.com/vbs. PRIDE PARADE & PRIDE FESTIVAL SATURDAY, JUNE 11 PARADE BEGINS AT 11AM & FESTIVAL RUNS 11AM-6PM | DOWNTOWN Indy Pride Parade and Festival is back in person in 2022! If you want to support our LGBTQ+ community by walking with the St. Luke’s group in the parade, please sign up at stlukesumc.com/pride. We will provide you with the exact meeting location and the other details closer to the date. During and after the parade, we will have a booth set up for people to come learn more about St. Luke’s and share that we are an open, affirming, and inclusive church! MIDDLE SCHOOL MAYHEM JUNE 27-JULY 1 Students who will be in 5th-8th grade for the 2022-23 school year are invited to our FAVORITE event of the year - Middle School Mayhem! This week-long day camp gives middle schoolers a chance to form new friendships as they have discussions and competitions with their “crew” of other students and a few leaders, serve alongside their peers, learn more about faith in worship designed specifically for them, and (of course) play all kinds of insane games. This year’s theme is Mt. Mayhem! We will explore Jesus’ Sermon on the Mount and the “Be-Attitudes” Jesus taught us. To learn more and register, go to stlukesumc.com/students.
