EAST ART GALLERY - APRIL: FREDRICK GREEN

Trained as a printmaker at IU, with a degree in architecture from the University of Kansas, Fred is a self-taught painter using primarily acrylic paint on canvas, paper, or board. His interests include abstractions of places he has traveled, topical subjects such as the war in Ukraine and composition with landscape. His instagram is @ Grefre1955.

You’ll meet others who are new and leave with next steps to help you find your place here. This is a great way to become familiar with who we are and how we live out our faith. This summer, we’re hosting hundreds of kids—some regulars, some new faces. We hold the power to shape their futures, but we need YOU. It’s an all-hands-on-deck moment. We refuse to turn kids away from VBS. Every middle schooler at Mayhem deserves a mentor. Every child at Freedom School should feel our embrace. But to make this happen, we need more volunteers. AN ALTER IN THE WORLD BY BARBARA BROWN TAYLOR WITH REV. JEN GIBBS

Barbara Brown Taylor will be at St. Luke’s as our guest preacher on June 23rd. Learn more about this amazing speaker and author through one of Pastor Jen’s favorite books, “An Altar in the World” by Barbara. TOUR AND LEARN - INDPLS HEBREW CONGREGATION

Our Multi-faith group invites you to join them in this tour to learn from our neighbors and extend a hand of friendship. Rabbi Brett Krichiver, who has been a guest here at St. Luke’s, will explain the Reformed Jewish faith and give us a tour of the IHC Temple, which is located in Washington Township. UWF RUMMAGE SALE

Turn your unwanted goods into TREASURE at the Spring Rummage Sale sponsored by the United Women in Faith! This sale benefits women and children served by Dove House, Lucille Raines Residence, Indiana UMC Children’s Home, Healthy Beginnings at Home, and more. How you can be involved:

DONATE your gently used clothing, furniture, and household goods at the Great Hall on May 15, 16, or 17 (no TV’s or large electronics - donate those at the electronics recycling container in the north parking lot)

SIGN UP to volunteer a shift (or more) at stlukesumc.com/ rummagesale, and have the opportunity to pre-shop the sale or earn service hours for your organization. Help is especially needed for cleanup (and pizza will be involved!).
