Dr. Marion Miller Almighty God, we have promised our love and renewed commitment to you, especially in this season of Lent. Instead, we have proven to be disobedient and ungrateful. We have promised our love and servanthood to each other. Instead, we have sown seeds of hate, envy, bitterness. We have promised to live in the power of our Lord, Jesus Christ. Instead, we have listened to the powers of darkness. For the sake of your Son, Jesus Christ, the suffering and humble servant, forgive us, we pray, and renew us in his power. Amen.
