Thanksgiving Service Project It’s that time of year again! Time to head down to the Cathedral Kitchen to serve those in need here in Indianapolis. Here’s how you can help. Stop by the table in the West Passage starting Sunday, October 31 to talk with Chef David Mitchell. We’ll get you signed up to volunteer to help us prep, serve on Thanksgiving Day, donate food, or make a financial contribution. This year’s project is sponsored by the Singles Ministry, Later Service, and Mission Possible Kids. If you have any questions, contact Chris Thornsberry at thornsberryc@stlukesumc.com.
NOVEMBER 2010
MONTHLY
COMMUNION All Saints Day Service Interfaith Thanksgiving Services You are invited to join diverse people of faith to give thanks for the harvest and help feed those who do not have the luxury of a bountiful Thanksgiving. Everyone is invited to attend any of these services, regardless of religious affiliation. In addition to an offering for the Interfaith Hunger Initiative, canned food donations will also be accepted. All services begin at 7PM.
St. Luke's holds a service every year to honor those loved ones who have gone before us this past year or many years ago. The service will take place November 1 at 7PM in Robertson Chapel, and includes beautiful music, prayer, scripture, lighting of candles, a memorial video, and a message from Rev. Marsha Hutchinson.

Our church-wide campaign to give a gift to someone every day for 29 days continues through November, culminating on November 21, Consecration Sunday, when we return our Gratitude Cards to the church indicating our gift of time, talent and treasure that we are committing to the church for 2011. If you did not receive a Gratitude Card in the mail, they are available in the pews, in the main office, or online at www.stlukesumc.com. We hope that you are having a wonderful experience during this 29 Days of Giving campaign, and that you will prayerfully consider how you wish to return to God the blessings and gifts God has given to you. Our Stewardship Commission will be serving brunch on November 21 in the Great Hall as a small token of appreciation for the gifts received from the congregation that make our ministries possible.
