Susan was the principal of Amy Beverland Elementary School, and previously of Brook Park Elementary School. She was born August 15, 1946 in Evansville, IN to the late Robert L. and Mary K. Kelley. Susan attended Harrison High School in Evansville. She completed her masters in Education at the University of Evansville where she was a member of Alpha Omicron Pi Sorority. Susan received her principal’s license through Butler University’s EPPSP program. Susan was a member of the St. Alban’s Softball Board, CIAGC (Central Indiana Association for Gifted Children), ASCD (Association for School Curriculum Development) and the Indiana State Principal’s Association. She was also a longtime member of St. Luke’s United Methodist Church. While Susan enjoyed many different pursuits, she derived the most pleasure from spending time with her school children and her family. Susan is survived by her daughters, Mary “Lisa” Elisabeth Jankowski and her husband, Andy and Amy Susan Dinwiddie and her husband, Will; grandsons, Wilkes Dinwiddie and Josh Jankowski; granddaughters, Katherine Dinwiddie and Kelley Jankowski; brothers, Bob Kelley and his wife, Rosie and Dan Kelley; step-brother, John Steinhauer; step-sister, Virginia Garland; nephews, Bart Kelley and his wife, Sandy and Donny Kelley and his wife, Chase; numerous great nephews and nieces; and many other loving family members and devoted friends.
