NEWS YOU CAN USE Share Words of Hope Today

Each year, St. Luke’s volunteers serve Thanksgiving meals to hundreds in need. This morning in the Narthex, there are note cards available for you to share a message of hope with those who will receive a meal from us this year. The recipients of these notes might be served at Cathedral Kitchen in downtown or here in the Great Hall. Or they might be shut-ins who are delivered a meal to their homes. Please take a moment to write a brief message expressing God’s love for them.

Q&A Sessions

This past week it was announced that St. Luke’s will launch a contemporary worship service in the spring. This new service will be held in the Sanctuary at 10:45AM on Sunday mornings. If you have questions, members of the Governing Board and Visioning Steering Committee will be available for an open forum today at 12:15PM in the Parlor and Thursday, November 7 from 5:30-6:15PM in the Parlor.

All Saints’ Service

Today • 6PM • Robertson Chapel Join us in this evening’s service to honor those saints who have gone before us, and to share the hope we find in God. We will remember our loved ones with the lighting of candles, Holy Communion and beautiful music.

Thanksgiving Day Service Opportunity

St. Luke’s will again be volunteering to feed families on Thanksgiving Day. There will be two sites for dinner this year: downtown Indianapolis and in the Great Hall. Chef David Mitchell will be cooking up wonderful food for everyone, but we need your help to make sure that all who walk through the door can be fed, and all the shut-ins who need a meal can be fed as well. Sign up to help online or at the table in the West Passage. Volunteers are needed to help cook and carve turkeys, deliver food the night before, work at Cathedral Kitchen or St. Luke’s on Thanksgiving Day or deliver meals to shut-ins. Additionally, you can make a financial contribution or donate food items. This is a great way for your family of all ages to serve together. This gentle yoga class welcomes those not flexible enough to sit on the floor (chairs provided) as well as those who can (bring a mat and a blanket). Taught by Carol Holden. $8/session.
