Green Habit of the Month In order to help you form "green" habits, the Green Ministry is introducing a Green Habit of the Month. May's habit is E-Waste Recycling. This morning RecycleForce has a truck parked in the front parking lot and will take anything with a cord. It is illegal in Indiana to throw this e-waste in the trash. Take advantage of this easy opportunity to get rid of e-waste. There is a $10 fee for TVs.
May Outreach of the Month The Rosebud, SD Native American Family Work Project is our Outreach of the Month. St. Luke’s has traveled to Rosebud for many years, where teams have worked with the Lakota people through a variety of experiences. There are still a few spots left on this year’s trip, which takes place June 23-29 and is great for families, For more info, contact Jamalyn Peigh Williamson at williamsonj@stlukesumc.com. Your financial contributions will support Tree of Life, which helps with school kits, winter coats, warm blankets and other critical needs of Rosebud. You may make a donation and place it in the offering basket (payable to St. Luke’s with “Rosebud” on the memo line) or on our website.
Love Apple Project Participate in a Sowers “grow and give” project. You get a tomato (aka “love apple”) plant to grow in your soil to water and nourish during the growing season. At harvest time, you give the produce to the Sowers to be donated to a local food pantry. For information on this project, contact Brandt Carter at 253-3222.
