VARSITY SEASON RECORD 10-6; 2-1 Playoffs CAPTAINS Abbie Beck, Leven Greene HIGHLIGHTS After being named district champions, the team advanced to the state semifinals for the first time since 1994. The loss in the state tournament was especially tough, but the team looks forward to a bright future. VARSITY SEASON RECORD 9-5 CAPTAINS Thomas Devall HIGHLIGHTS In the first game of the season, starting three freshmen, the Saints went on the road to defeat Catholic High of Pointe Coupee at the buzzer on a shot by Matt Weaver. Despite several COVID quarantine interruptions and a tough season, the team is excited for the future and appreciative of senior captain Thomas Devall’s leadership. VARSITY SEASON RECORD 2-3 regular season / 0-1 playoffs CAPTAINS Jonathan Castaneda, Ben Hoppe, Monte Lewis, and Gavin Sperandeo HIGHLIGHTS In an unprecedented year while navigating the new COVID athletic rules, the team persevered and made it to the first round of the Division IV playoffs. Cross Country
VARSITY SEASON RECORD Girls Win Class 1A State Championship; Boys Place 5th at State HIGHLIGHTS After winning the District 9-1A championship, the girls’ team focused on state. Senior Isabella Bartholomew finished 2nd overall, leading the team to the state win. The boys’ squad steadily improved throughout the season and put forth a strong effort at the state championships, after being named District 9-1A runner-up. Blake Verdigets finished 10th overall. CAPTAINS Isabella Bartholomew, Clara Conatser, Ellie Courtney, Colby Watkins, and Hayes Whitney HIGHLIGHTS In the LHSAA State Championship, the girls’ team took 4th place, while the boys’ team came in 7th. Juliette Magner earned a gold medal in the 100-yard backstroke and a silver in the 100-yard butterfly. The girls' 400 freestyle relay team of Isabella Bartholomew, Isabella Arizola, Seema Hijazi, and Juliette Magner swam an exciting race for the silver medal. Colby Watkins placed 3rd in the 100 Backstroke. CAPTAINS Alexis Jurisich, Rachel Royerre HIGHLIGHTS The team placed 5th of 20 at the regional tournament featuring teams from Mississippi, Texas, and Louisiana. The team once again earned a bid to compete in nationals at Walt Disney World. Additionally, two cheerleaders made the All-Star Cheer Team.
