Albany Down
Saturday 21 December, 8.45pm
£15.50
Contemporary UK blues-rock band Albany Down came together with some classic rock and Brit blues-rock influences, but with their 2011 debut album, South Of The City, they found their own sound. Albany Down are a band that runs on pure adrenalin, unrelenting energy and raw emotion. Rock blogger Neil Mach probably got it right, when he described the band “as hot as volcanic ash and yet as cool as snow slippers”.

learn and take part
Learning and participation are central to The Stables’ activities, bringing music to the widest possible audience. Our learning and participation programme works with people of all ages and levels of ability and across many musical styles.
With lifelong learning at its heart, the programme includes workshops, courses, talks, concerts and training. The Stables aims to encourage people to become involved in music, whether by developing existing skills or offering a musical experience for the first time. The programme offers events for children and young people, through to opportunities for more experienced audiences and music makers. Our outreach work and partnerships aim to support people across the region who may not otherwise have the opportunity to participate in musicmaking activities.
The atmosphere was relaxed and the tutor allowed everyone to learn in their own way offering additional support where it was needed.
Great venue, great course, great teacher!
Over the following pages you’ll find details of our workshops and courses over the next few months. Please call The Stables box office on 01908 280800 or visit stables.org to book a place.
