Greetings to all Members and friends. We hope you have had a pleasant Summer despite our usual erratic weather, as we look forward to the Autumn activities. The sale of the Library building to our neighbours The Royal Naval Engineers Benevolent Society has been completed, and the Library is now a tenant of part of Number 111 North Hill, initially for a three-year term. To mark this major event we are holding a CHEESE & WINE PARTY on MONDAY, 26th OCTOBER, 2015, 6.00pm to 8.00pm. Every Member is invited and may bring one guest. If you are able to come, please RSVP to the Library by the previous Monday, 19th October.

READING GROUP Continues on the first Monday of the month at 2.00pm. A few new members would be welcome! The Book Selection Committee meets regularly, and tries to buy the most interesting selection of new books with limited resources. As you know, Members can always make requests which will be carefully considered. We hope you will enjoy coming in and browsing along the New Books and Recent Additions, and catching up with some reading, or maybe you prefer to look for other undiscovered treasures in the other parts of the Library. We do have nineteenth and twentieth century fiction on our shelves which is not always readily available in the Local Authority libraries these days, and some non-fiction not at all. Good reading.
