Link & Match Graphic is a company which give a seminar about important things before we have to be a good designer. This company is servicing by educated people in the finishing process, espesially in color management. They also contributed in printing and packaging industry. At the moment when they came to our class, as a head of the company, Mrs. Anne Dameria was explaining a lot of important informations by doing a seminar presentation.

At the first of presentation, Mrs. Anne Dameria was introduced their backround's life as an student in the first generation of University of Indonesia who studied in Graphic Design major. She also shares how she first entered in printing world until she becomes one of the best company in Indonesia. Her lecture session divided into two meetings. All sessions are done by explaining about offset printing, How we make a good finishing without spend a lot of money by proofing process. When we have big clients we have to regradful about color management before it produced in a big quantitiy.

Not all clients understand about the color spesification, some clients just give the color as a screen or print proofing, that often not too same when the end of final execution. So as a good designer, we have to really carefully to communicates, by using DCP as a standard color for clients

For the next lesson, we were visit to gramedia printing. Gramedia Printing is a big company in Indonesia, they equipped by complete tools and papers for providing a big quantity of printing. This company also distribute for Kompas newspaper, they produced of a big quantity of newspaper for each day. The process is through a big machine which procssed by a lot of workers in there. This machine includes cutting process from a big roll of papers, then processed in final printing to the last execution that will be distributed to all regions in Jabodetabek.

The printing method are divided into many parts. For spesification, first before producing huge newspaper's quantity it need to print the layout to an alumunium sheet as a mold. The mold was divided based on CMYK colors, so it needs to be really carefully when the

PRE-PRESS & PRINTING In this session Mr. Siswanto Sidartha teach us about the pre-press & printing process. As an example they bring some of binding process and final book's design. A final book was processed from one big paper that includes all

pages. Understanding the divisions part by part, we have to practice with fold a paper, for example by printing in A2 size, we will get 4 pages on the front side and 4 other pages from back side.

FINISHING PROCESS This session Mr. Siswanto Sidarth was explaining about offset printing, he showing us of some examples from offset printing. For example, to make a catchy design, we can use several kinds of offset printing, such as emboss, die cut, poly, deboss, etc. It helps to catch attentions for viewers, as a trying to make dimension in final output.
