NECKLACE WITH CAT 1

Model two shapes of black Oplà Clay; create the body with a larger portion of dough and create the cat’s head with a smaller amount of dough. Use the Fine Glue to stick the cat’s ears to the head. Slightly flatten the ears using the precision tools. 2

With two black, slightly mashed balls of clay, create the two paws. Cut using the round precision tools. Make a small dough cylinder to create the tail. Stick and adjust all the parts using the glue. Let dry.

2

3

Sweet Kittens 4

Model the dough on a horizontally held Plexiglas base. Roll the dough on the surface. With a slight pressure and without ever reversing the rotation direction, continue until the ball has taken a biconical shape. Pierce the ball with a nail from one side to the other in order to enable a string to pass through it.

4

5

Model a 1 mm thick cylinder using green Oplà Clay Clay, which will be used to make the bowtie. Stick it with glue under the cat’s head. With small amounts of Oplà Clay Clay, create black and white eyes. Spray a thin layer of green Cerantica wax on the entire cat.

5

6

Before the clay dries and hardens insert a nail in the cat’s head, securing it with a bit of glue. Allow everything to dry.

6 7

Now stick the cat charm on the center of the chain. Remove the metal beads and insert the previously made charms which will have hardened by now. At this point, insert the dough and metal beads in the aluminum wire. Once the necklace is completed secure the closure.

THE PICTURE-FRAME 1

Cut a rectangle of corduroy to cover the entire surface of the back of the picture frame. Leave an extra 2cm margin of fabric. Cut the corners at 45 ° angle and paste the fabric to the cardboard using the Gel Glue, spread it from the edges to the center of the picture frame. To cover the front, follow the same procedure, however consider the bulk of the central hole of the frame before gluing the gray fabric. 2

4

Place the stencil on the frame and dab it with the sponge-brush dipped in green Cerantica wax. Reproduce the cat’s paws along the edges of the frame.

3

To create the cat, follow the same procedure used when making the necklace on the previous pages. The only differences are that the dimensions of the cat’s parts will have to be larger; and instead of creating a bowtie, wrap a small dough scarf around the cat’s neck. Then attach all the parts to the cat’s body using extra xtra Forte Glue. 4

Interpose the picture between the two coated components and spread a thin coat of extra xtra Forte Glue on the edges in order to make the creation firm and sturdy.

THE WHITE CAT 1

What you need:

.

Use the Ivory dough to create the cat’s hind legs: shape two 4 cm high and 1cm thick cylinders. Gently bend one end to give a natural posture to the paws.

2

2

Oplà Clay: Ivory K3P10AV, Brown K3P11BR, Raspberry K3P11BG. Allegro acrylics: Titanium White KAL102, Burnt Sienna KAL19. Watercolor: KAW009, KAW010. Precision Tools K3TT06. Smudgy KR75. Liner KR76. Burin KR22N. Fine Glue dC18.

. . .. .. .

Use the round precision tool to create the paw’s fingers. 3

Cut the excess dough on the paws at a 45-degree angle, in order to define the length of the paws.

3

4

Prepare 4 small balls (one of which a little bigger) that will be placed on the legs to create the basis of the pillows. To shape the front legs make 2, 3cm tall cylinders with a a diameter of 1cm. Create the fingers of the paws using the precision tools, as seen in the picture. Cut off the excess dough at a 45 angle.

4

5

Create the body shaping a slightly elongated ball (the size of a walnut). Paste your newly created legs sideways using some Fine Glue. 8

5

6

To create the head, shape a ball smaller than the body. Shape two smaller balls which will be the ears. Place them with a little Glue on top of the head. To make the eyes, however, model 2 slightly flattened balls and apply them at the center of the face of the cat. 7

With the chisel dipped into white acrylic draw the iris. 8

7

Make the whiskers using an old brush. Cut some bristles and attach on the cat’s cheeks. Mix small portions of raspberry Oplà Clay with Ivory acrylic and make a small triangle for the nose. Place it with a little glue between the eyes. With the liner draw and color the mouth using Burnt Sienna acrylic.

Flower Fairies 5 Shape a small, slightly elongated ball of Carnation Pink Oplà Clay to create the head. Insert a small portion of gold dough into the extruder and, with the smaller holes, make the hair that will be position on the head with Fine Glue. Use the precision tool to separate the strands of pasta from the extruder before placing them on the head. 6 With Lilac Oplà Clay, model two balls and two hands, with the tip slightly turned upward, for the shoes. Both will have a maximum diameter of 3 / 4 mm. Insert the “T” peg and let everything dry completely. 7 Create a flower or ribbon with purple Oplà Clay to be inserted into the hair. Secure it with a bit of glue. With the burin and the white and brown Allegro acrylic paint the eyes on the face of the fairy. 8 Insert 2 cm of chain in the nail that will come out of the flower so that one can create the arms. Put a bit of glue and insert the head on the nail, previously cut to the right height. Secure the shoes and hands to the rings. Finally, insert the head in the nail with slot. 9 For the other elements of the series, prepare balls of approximately 8 mm diameter and 5 mm diameter of different Oplà Clay colors. Use the watercolor lid to give a shape to the other elements.
