This technique allows for a fast and simple way to make a masterpiece with scraps of paper, which will be hard to distinguish from the original paintings. The technique is to cut and paste images of paper on previously prepared surfaces with special bases, more or less elaborate, and then overlay them with protective coatings that are smooth to the touch the when applied on the affected area, and eliminate the thickness caused by the application of the images. From the simple application of the basic technique, thanks to inspiration, creativity and some expert advice you can achieve amazing results by using many different techniques and processes.

These classic découpage papers are easy to cut thanks to the practical scissors or cutter for the more complex cutouts and can be glued easily with the appropriate Découpage glues that are available ready for use, without the need for dilution. These special papers, 50x70 cm and 80 grams in weight, are opaque and overlapable. To avoid wrinkles when gluing it, it is advisable to soak it in water for a few seconds and to tampon it with a paper towel before applying the glue.

Rice Découpage Paper The rice découpage papers can be torn or cut out and are very durable. Slightly transparent, good if glued on light surfaces. To apply this type of paper you use the Velo Glue, which is a ready-to-use delicate glue. Such papers are available in size 48x33 cm with a weight of 28 gr.

Rice Paper Napkins Coordinated napkins are also available in rice paper. Soft and thin but very strong, the napkins are applicable on all surfaces: wood, glass, cardboard, metal ... Once glued on the support they are transparent allowing the creation of original effects. The tissues open measuring 50x50 cm, they weigh 14g and are offered in four folded and individually packaged in a hanging bag.
Tovaglioli DFT... The use of Rice Paper Napkins is simple: just rip the image with your hands, the paper around it will be completely invisible when applied on the surface. The Velo Glue is excellent when used with these napkins, since it is almost lacking consistency and is very fluid. For the gluing of the paper napkins it is enough to lay the decoration on a dry surface (being transparent they need clear or light bases) and brush, from the outer margins to the middle, the Velo Glue on the upper side of the paper letting it penetrate through the designs of the napkin.
Paper for DĂŠcoupage 3D All new napkins and papers available in the 3D version and in several formats (12x20/23x30/25x48 cm) made of thick paper which weighs 300 gr. This is an original variation the theme that allows amazing texture effects beyond the limits of 2D. Thanks to the burin and to the practical mat cuttings of these cards, thicker than the traditional ones, they are shaped so that they can then be glued together with the Gomma Mastice, so as to obtain a relief multilayer effect.

STENCIL
FINISHING VARNISHES
They are used to protect the work in time and to eliminate the gap between paper and object. Suitable for all surfaces can be shiny, matte, satin, super shiny, spray or liquid water based or solvent (to be spread with a brush).
PRIMER or PLASTER
Facilitate the adhesion of acrylic colors and facilitate the application on any surface. The Base Plaster is white while the Primer is available as a brush (white or transparent) or spray (white, black or transparent). The clear Primer is ideal when one does not give a base color but decorates the object directly.
BRUSHES
The flat brushes are suitable for the preparation of the bases, glues, final varnishes. The sponge brushes or pads of varying sizes are useful for the application of color, the Primer and to dab the paper during the gluing phase. The brushes and drop brush liners are ideal for painting small details and add decorations. The brushes are indispensable for making a stencil, to make spots that mimic the passage of time or for the application of Foglia Oro. The oblique tip brushes allow you to create shades blending with gel and acrylic paint. The sfumino brush is used to soften and lighten the color.
The Stamperia stencils are available in many subjects and are made with a strong and flexible material. The stencil technique can be combined as a background or enrichment of découpage. The Repositionable Spray Glue is indispensable to hold the mask which needs to adhere to the surface.

Tear along the edges of the paper scraps and glue it onto the canvas. Glue the overlapping cut out of the ballerina. Create areas of color next to the paper using the Allegro Acrylics in: prugna, cappuccino and antracite.

Spray the Spray Glue on the lace and apply it on the lighter areas of the canvas, spatulate the Pasta Soffice (or the Pasta Stucco mixed with bianco Allegro Acrylic) to create the lace effect in relief (effect dentelle), remove the lace and let dry. Remove the paste from the lace under running water.

Paint over the lace effect using diluted Allegro acrylic prugna and cappuccino so you can create some colored glazes.

Apply the Pasta Luce black & gold close to the dancer and the Scrap Booking Paper. Using the spatula, spread the Pasta Luce oro flakes, oro glitter and black&gold flakes on the rest of the canvas. Decorate the dress of the dancer with the viola notte Color Angel and the Pasta Luce oro flkaes and oro glitter. Paint the edges of the canvas with the antracite.

The Pasta Luce is ideal for very bright three-dimensional texture effects . It contains large or small particles of mica, a mineral that occurs naturally in several colors and has the particularity to reflect light giving a unique brilliance. Available in 8 versions in 100 ml containers.

PASTA AFFRESCO
Matt mural effect texture base. Ideal for frescoes. Suitable for all surfaces, available in two sizes: 150 and 250 ml.
1 - 2 VASE
Gently spread the bianco acrylic behind the trim, paste it with Velo glue inside the jar. Apply a coat of clear primer on the outside edges of the pot and let it dry. With small crossed strokes create the brushes using the different greens.

Color the Pasta Affresco using bianco latte, verde militare chiaro and biscotto and spread the colored paste on the outside of the vase. Protect all the parts by applying a coat of Matt finish.

In some areas, spatulate the vase using the verde smeraldo Pasta Ruvida.
6 - 7 CLOCK
Apply the primer, let dry. Spread a thin layer on the base of the clock of Pasta Affresco and apply in the central portion of rice paper with Velo Glue. Spatulate opaque Pasta Gel throughout, once dry, create painterly effects and recreate the colors with the sfumino. With the liner brush paint the details. Rub the standarino brush, previously dipped in a little oro CerAntica, on the reliefs in order to embellish 2 everything.

Uniformly paint the lid using the verde smeraldino acrylic.

With a dry brush spread the gold-plating glue on the bottom , wait for it to dry (the glue will become transparent) and position the Foglia Oro with a brush with hard bristles. Protect using Gloss Spray Finish. 1

Color the are using bianco Allegro Acrylic. On top of it apply the Rice Paper using the Velo Glue. Dip the standarino in bronzo Patina Antica, ‘unload’ it and pass it along the corners of the box and along the edges of the paper. Create the side strips on the paper with oro glitter Pasta Luce. Apply the Solvent Finish only on the cropped paper. 2

Place the stencil mask on the edge of the trunk, spatulate the inside with Pasta Luce and gently lift the stencil. Apply the gem.

The Stamperia gold-plating product is very simple to use. To gild one must spread the glue on the surface to be gilded, the glue becomes transparent, apply the Foglia Oro which is available in flakes, sheets or in fragments as well as in different colors.

Spatulate Terracotta effect Paste on the lid of the box, creating some small reliefs.

Mix the Terracotta effect with a small amount of Blending Gel, place the mixture in the vial and directly from the spout decorate the edge of the cover thus creating curls.

Prepare the cartouche stretching a sheet of Oplà Clay, glue the previously dampened Decoupage Paper, with the help of the precision tools, and create curls with the pasta.

Apply the cartouch with the Extra Strong Glue and spread a coat of Matt Finish. Dip a standarino brush in Patina ombra and remove the excess on paper towels and, with the help of the solvent, creating glazes to ‘age’ the project. Decorate the base of the box with decoupage and protect with Matte finish. Suitable for any surface, even on polystyrene. Apply with brush, sponge brush, spatula. The instruments used can then be washed with water. Dries in 30 min.-1h. Available in ocra and terra bruciata.

Divide the canvas into two areas with masking tape: one part (rectangle in the upper left) will be treated with Metal Effect grigio and then with a veil of bianco Allegro. The rest of the canvas is treated with a spatulated Pasta Affresco.

Enrich the treated area with alga colored lines of Metal Effect with the help of the appropriate stencil.

Overlap the various clippings. With a scalpel brush, a chisel and nocciola and verde prato create slight shadow near the base of 3D DĂŠcoupage.

Prepare the bottom extending the white primer on the support. Spread the avorio and axxurro cielo with crossed strokes, let dry. Making the stencil: Spray the repositionable glue on the back of the mask, place the center of the clock and color with azzurro using the brush with the sponge brush. Repeat for the stencil with stripes.

Apply the previously moistened with Découpage glue, Découpage paper on the clock, and then apply a coat of glue over the entire surface. Make the flowers dipping a brush in azzurro cielo and bianco (paint simple petals and leaves) add more decorations with the liner brush and the oblique tipped brush and shade with azzurro cielo and biscotto.

Apply Step 1 of the Glass Cracklé with a flat brush, let dry, then apply Step 2 all over the clock directly with your fingertips.

Apply Step 1. Allow to dry (1-2 hours). Do not force with hairdryer. Spread the Step 2, the crackle will be formed after about 1/24 hours (depending on the thickness), with the help of the dryer in about 20 minutes. Drying times are affected by climate. Wash your brushes with water. 18

When the cracks are visible highlight the cracklé with oro antico Patina Anticante helping yourself with a soft cloth.

Prepare the base color by applying a coat of Primer bianco over the entire surface of the stool. Create the setting by blending the azzurro with the verde and spreading the colors with a flat brush, starting from the top.

Cut the Découpage paper , moisten it in water for a few moments, use a paper towel to dab the excess water. Spread the Découpage glue on the base, place 1 the cuttings on the stool by making it adhere very well all over, distribute an even coat of glue and secure with three or four coats of Glossy Water Finish.

Shield the various areas of the stool with the masking tape to create the borders; spread with a spatula the bronze Shiny Finishing Varnish on the inferior part of the stool and coat the upper part with the gold varnish.

Create some green curls around the decoupage, and with the burin dipped in red, paint some flowers.

Paint the base with a flat brush to smudge the acrylics verde petrolio and verde pallido.

To achieve the relief you need to have more decoupage sheets of 3D découpage paper with the same subject. From a first sheet crop the entire image, the other sheets, cut out only the details that you want to highlight. Apply on the surface of the panel, the full first image with the Vernicolla. Apply another coat of Vernicolla, over the entire surface and also on the upper part of the various cutouts. Place the cutouts face down on the mat and with the burin used in a circular direction, “inflate” the paper. To support the effect of the curved paper, add Gomma Mastice on the back of the cutouts. Place the cutouts overlapping each other, creating a threedimensional effect; the Gomma Mastice will keep the volume between the various layers and paste them together.
4 FRAME
Paint the resin frame with verde petrolio highlighting its reliefs with white Patina Anticante and with oro CerAntica. Assemble the cardboard canvas in the frame
5-6 e 7 TRUNK
Make the background as per point 1, apply the various découpage sheets, make the stencil, protect with several coats of Matt Protective Varnish, enrich with lace.

Paint the body of the drawer with carta da zucchero Allegro Acrylic excluding the sides.

Crumple the paper sheets, moisten it with water and apply onto the drawer with the Découpage Glue.

Protect by coating the entire drawer with Matt Protective Varnish.

Apply a coat of Step 1 Universal Cracklé, once it is dry apply black Step 2 Cracklé. Allow to dry, the cracks will form. Finish with Protective Varnish.

Unevenly spread slightly diluted caffelatte and mogano acrylics, “tear up” with a paper towel to create the effects of fog and coverage. Smudge with a brush to strengthen the effect by using white patina Anticante in dark areas and ombra in light areas.

Glue the Rice decoupage paper using Velo Glue. Apply at least 4 coats of Matt Protective Varnish using the flat brush.

Using a spatula, apply the Pasta Ruvida on the edge of the book, make vertical movements with some little relief.

With the flat brush decorate the parts of the album that were treated with the Pasta Ruvida, dilute the rame and verde color Angel with a bit ‘of water to create vertical glazing.

With the 3D stencil, create the arabesque pattern on the outer wrapper.

Decorate the stencil in relief in the same way as the edge, highlighting the details with Patina rame or oro CerAntica.

With a brush, prepare the base spreading the primer over the entire surface. Allow to dry. Apply a coat of grano using a flat brush, let dry.

Apply the rice paper napkin using the Colla Velo. Once dry, decorate the rim of the pot with the pasta Cracklé and Granelli di Luna as explained in the following pages.

Create the decorations in relief using bronzo incantato Angel Color.

Out of Africa 4 and 5 LARGE TRAY
Prepare the tray by spreading the primer over the entire surface. Spread a coat of the Allegro grano on the center of the tray, the terra bruciata and the ghianda on the edge using crossed strokes. Let dry and apply the Rice Paper napkin with Velo Glue. With a flat brush, apply a coat oof Step 1 Universal CracklĂŠ in the edge of the tray, once dry, use the spatula to apply black Step 2 Pasta CracklĂŠ.

Once the cracks can be seen, use the nero Color Angel and a few drops of bronzo incantato to paint the Granelli di Luna.

Place the mixture in some points on the edge of the tray using a trowel spatula.

7 Ideal for creating original relief effects. Mix the grains with pastes and acrylics, or apply them with glue. They dry quickly. To lengthen the drying time add Blending Gel to the mix. Available in powder, grain, small, medium and large. Contain glass powder.

Apply the primer, the grano acrylic and apply the Rice Paper Napkins on the center of the tray as it was done for the large tray. With the help of the trowel spatula spread the Effetto Terracotta paste on the edge of the tray.

With the special rubber comb “scratch� Effetto Terracotta paste while it is still wet. Allow to dry. Apply the Granelli di Luna mixed with some oro stellare Angel Color to complete the decoration.
Ideal on any surface. 1) Apply an acrylic paint, let dry. 2) Apply Step 1 Universal and allow to dry (1-2 hours) without forcing it with a hairdryer. 3) Apply the Step 2 (black or white, the white may be slightly colored with Allegro acrylics. max 20% acrylic) will form the crackle after about 4/6 hours. With the help of hair dryer the Step 2 dries in 10 minutes. Step 2 will crack revealing the color chosen in step 1. If Step 2 is abundant the cracks will be wider, if it is stretched thin will be thicker. Drying times are influenced by climate (+ / - humidity) and the thickness of the product. Wash your brushes with water.
