Explore the beauty of nature! Campers will create crafts inspired by their surroundings while learning about the environment and the animals that inhabit this ecosystem.

Magical Nature – Ages 6-7

July 25, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Glowing animals, ying critters and trees the size of skyscrapers! These may sound like the creatures of a ction novel but can be found in the world around us. Learn about incredible nature in this day camp focusing on the seemingly magical habitats and animals that are all part of our planet.

Fantastic Forts – Ages 8-10

July 27, 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Lodges, nests, and dens are ne for critters, but what kind of home would you make if you lived outside? We’ll explore the kinds of homes animals make, and then get to the task of creating the perfect human shelter among the trees and trails of our 152-acre nature preserve.

Crafting with Nature – Ages 7-9

August 8, 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

(Aftercare available until 5 p.m.)

Creative campers will enjoy this full day of crafting with nature. From creating river stone and pinecone critters to making sand paintings and nature prints, children will use what nature provides to make fun projects to take home.

Under The Microscope – Ages 10-12

August 10, 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Creatures and critters that we can’t normally see are the focus of this adventure in which campers will explore the mini worlds of soil, plants, ponds and more. Using microscopes, hand lenses, games and crafts, campers will learn more about the creatures we can’t see with the naked eye.

Do you know what it takes to survive in the wild? Challenge yourself in the ultimate nature adventure. Learn how to read nature and prepare yourself for survival using basic rst aid, map reading, GPS, re starting, leadership, tracking and shelter-building skills learned along the way. Conquer these skills and put your knowledge to the test in an all-out, end-of-camp treasure hunt. Who will win in this wild adventure?

Want to experience an up-close and personal encounter with the creepy crawly critters that are moving around the Nature Center? Join us for a week-long adventure discovering and investigating the ying, crawling and slithering creatures that call Ogden Nature Center home. Become a nature spy as we dig through pond muck and search elds high and low for snakes, lizards, insects, spiders and more. Play games and enjoy activities that help us understand and appreciate the creepy crawly critters all around us.

Bird Brains – Ages 9-11

July 17-21

Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday, 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.; Friday night cookout, 6 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. (no camp during the day on Friday)

Become an amateur ornithologist during this week-long experience! Learn about the adaptations, characteristics and diversity that make birds one of the most incredible creatures on our planet. Get an up-close meeting with the Nature Center’s resident raptors and explore ways to study the wild birds in your own backyard.
