fly me to

the moon

jenny gumbert About once per year, I manage to find a way to get myself out of my home and into another city. This year I am lucky enough to have a handful of friends in New York who are generous enough to let me sleep on their floor or bum on their sofas. Though I love to visit new cities, I always dread one part of travel: packing. Oh packing, the bane of first-world-probelm

existence. However, I have managed to come up with a few items that will hopefully magically fix all of my troubles, and a simple bag from Nau to keep them all in. Well, at the very least they’ll make me look good as I clumsily stumble through the airport, no doubt about to be late for my flight. Bon voyage!

1. Travel Size Lotion and Hair Oil Serum by Josie Maran Cosmetics, $14 & $12 - One of the most annoying things about traveling is meeting those darn liquid requirements. Josie Maran already makes some of my favorite cosmetics, so it’s very convenient that they make great travel size bottles. 2. Lizzie Fortunato iPad Bag from Beklina, $440 - I recently acquired a hand-me-down iPad (officially “old” now—technology moves too fast!) and though this case costs almost as much as the item it holds, I can’t help but swoon. 3. Adirondack Kit Bag by Fleabags, $125 - I’ve always favored men’s dopp kits over makeup bags, so the fact that this is essentially a ladies’ kit makes me insanely happy—and so does the fact that it’s not bedazzled or hot pink. 4. Alessandra Burlap Ballet Flats by Toms, $79 - Don’t be one of those people who wears lace-up tennis shoes and is holding up security. Just don’t.
