As someone who had been in the car scene for 20+ years I have been to my share of car shows. More often then not most kids are at the shows because the parents want to be there. I wanted to give the kids something to remember and spark the next generation of car enthusiast. Building Blu has been a hell of a ride and one I would take a thousand more times to see the smile on kids’ faces when they see my boy Blu. All the blood, sweat, and tears (yes men cry over their cars) is worth it when I hear a child say “Mom/Dad can you take my picture with this car” or “ Mom/ Dad look at this car”.

It wasn’t until 1999, during a cross-country move, that we unearthed the dormant beauty from the mud, embarking on a journey to Bethlehem, PA. There, my father and brother eagerly took on the challenge of resurrecting this automotive relic. Time, however, proved to be both friend and foe. As the calendar pages turned to 2016, my husband found himself deployed to Afghanistan for a year, while the car lingered in a state of perpetual renovation - much to everyone’s not-sosurprised chagrin. hand, marking a 50-year gap between our Mustangs - his, a vintage 1967 model, and mine, a sleek 2017 California Special adorned with a manual transmission. While my husband’s Mustang underwent a more conventional restoration process, I took a different route with mine. Sporting a throaty aftermarket Roush exhaust and a formidable 12-inch subwoofer, my car boasts a personality that extends beyond the confines of tradition. This deviation from the norm translates into a driving experience that can only be described as pure exhilaration. In essence, while his Mustang exudes timeless elegance, mine thrives on the modern edge of customization, making every drive an adventure filled with the vibrant pulse of a red Mustang that’s uniquely mine.

It definitely sparks a lot of conversation with this color. Our Shelby is fairly stock right now. It has an amazing set of Signature wheels, the attached series SV602 in liquid platinum. Of course the car has been ceramic coated and the windows tinted. Other than that, we just get in and enjoy the close to 800 hp driving it down the road. We bought it late in the season but we look forward to a wonderful season next year of hitting car shows and enjoying the sunshine and great friends. The car has been with me for 16yrs and the race livery was done in 2021 by my friend Shane Souza and fully redone myself 2023 for a brighter Race Yellow. I am always looking for the next modification, whether it’s visual or performance. Now days I like to have fun with it and display at shows or events for kids, and my daughter absolutely loves it. Now, let’s get the LOWDOWN on this badass toy, the Hanwei Kouga Ninja-To. This badass blade is one of the most prized pieces in my collection. Not only have I been fortunate enough to train in various martial arts, but I have also had the honor to train under some of the last martial arts masters on the planet. One of those areas includes Ninjutsu, or as many of you may know it, the Ninja. This is a Hanwei Kouga Ninja-To sword by Paul Chen which features a dismountable double-pegged Tsuka with a battle wrap over black rayskin and Kouga Mon Menuki.
