HONORING OUR FANS AND THEIR MUSTANGS
Volume 3 SPECIAL EDITION
MAGAZINE
Mustang enthusiasts have asked for a magazine that has no ads, no sales pitches, and no bogus “fillers” to eat up space. They have asked for a magazine that is free, easy to access, and nothing but focused on Mustang pictures and content. They have asked for a magazine produced and written by Mustang owners. They have asked for a magazine that highlights the daily drivers and the average Mustang that is driven and is not a trailer queen. They have asked for the chance to one day have their ride, their group, their club, or their cause to be recognized in print or online. It is our absolute pleasure to meet these standards and to give you STANG Magazine. We hope that both our message and our image will be seen in every Mustang community out there. Thank you Mustang fans and enjoy your ride!

MEMBERS OF THE STANG MAG FAMILY ARE MORE PASSIONATE ABOUT FUN AND INCLUSION THAN THEY ARE THEIR CARS AND THAT SAYS A LOT!
If you asked me if I thought I’d be writing an article for STANG Magazine for my car this time last year I would’ve said no. If you asked me if I would be writing it about a different car than the 2005 Roush Mustang I had I would’ve said hell no. I loved that car but acquiring this one reinvigorated my passion for car shows and events!
This is my 2006 Vista Blue Ford Mustang GT. It’s a standard with a short shifter and so fun to drive! It has a Pypes exhaust system, aftermarket headlights, American Muscle wheels, performance air intake, tinted lights and reflectors, a Bama tune, and lots of stickers. We proudly represent the (Coastal) Head Turners car club.
I’ve been into cars my whole life, but I fell in love with the sound of a raspy V8 in the body of a sleek muscle car. So Mustang became my choice of car, an SN95 5.0 “Captain” being my very first car gifted to me by my mom before I purchased my S197 who I named “Blueberry”.
Mods list includes Pypes exhaust, staggered fitment American Muscle wheels, lowering springs, Eleanor window louvers, repaint, side mirrors, diffuser, BAMA tune, BBK intake, short shifter, sequence tail lights, spoiler, skirts, side scoops, chrome housing OE headlights (H13 bulb), and black housing amber turn signals.
I met Daniel Ramey at a Beltway Mustang show and won my spot with STANG Magazine in their Carlisle Ford Nationals display. Needless to say I wasn’t sure what to expect being that I didn’t know the people attending and was going by myself.
The STANG Mag family welcomed me in from the very start and made me feel like one of their own!

IT GENERATES A LOT OF INTEREST ESPECIALLY WHEN PEOPLE NOTICE IT HAS A 4 CYLINDER TURBO...
Mustangs have always caught my eye and the Mustang community is like no other.
If you asked me if I thought I’d be writing an article for STANG Magazine for my car this time last year I would’ve said no. If you asked me if I would be writing it about a different car than the 2005 Roush Mustang I had I would’ve said hell no. This is the eighth Mustang I have owned. I bought it in May of 2022. I take it to quite a few Mustang cruises and many car shows. It generates a lot of interest especially when people notice that it has a 4 cylinder turbo versus the usual V8.
Performance upgrades are planned for winter 2024. Cosmetic upgrades include replica GT350 wheels, 19x10 with 285/35R19s up front and rears are 19×11 with 345/30R19s in the back. Nitto tires are on all four corners. It also has an American Racing rear spoiler, Drake gas cover, Drake aluminum gas and brake pedals and ebrake handle, tinted windows, tinted headlight and tail light covers, tinted marker lights, and Ford Performance strut tower brace with many cosmetic upgrades under the hood.

We just had to share with you why we absolutely love our Ford Mustangs. It’s not just a car, it’s an experience. They are undeniably a fun car to cruise around in. The moment you hit the open road, you can feel the power and excitement coursing through your veins. It’s like being on a thrilling roller coaster that you get to control.

What really makes the Mustang special to us is the stories you hear from people who have owned one or friends that still have their Mustang. It truly is a club that welcomes everyone. Everyone has an epic Mustang story. To Chris and I they are a symbol of freedom. As Brothers, we are happy that we get to share our passion with our families.
The 1966 Mustang is equipped with a 289 bored .30, changed from automatic to 4 speed top loader, air suspension in the rear, GT springs in the front, Flowmaster exhaust, and JBA headers.
The 2003 Cobra is equipped with Flowmaster exhaust, Canton Racing ice tank, and cold air intake.

BECAUSE IT WAS HIS GRACE THAT SAVED ME IN MY ACCIDENT.
I have been a Mustang fan since I was old enough to understand what cars were and always wanted one. Thanks to my loving father, I got one as a first car and it was a total blast.
If you asked me if I thought I’d be writing an article for STANG Magazine for my car this time last year I would’ve said no. If you asked me if I would be writing it about a different car than the 2005 Roush Mustang I had I would’ve said hell no. I’ve had multiple Mustangs since then and have enjoyed every one of them. My last Mustang was a 2015, 50th anniversary GT coupe... my dream car named “Miss Behavin” and she stood up to her name.
After being totalled in an accident and it saving my life, I replaced it with “GOD’S GRACE” because it was His Grace that saved me in my accident.
I love driving a Mustang and enjoy the compliments, especially when they realize it’s a girl’s car. Car shows are my hobby and I have multiple trophies from shows. This is only one of five Mustangs I have had and still have, but this one is my favorite.
Mods include Uupgrading from 18” to 20” rims, cold air
intake with K&N filter, SCT tune, Roush hood scoop, Roush roll/style bar, multiple painted trim parts under the hood, and LED 5.0 emblems on fenders.

I enjoy spending time with my car. I’ve had her for three years now and it’s been so much fun creating her! She entered her first show this year and took first place! What a trip that was. Looking forward to whatever comes up with her next, like her new hood and headlights!
My mechanic Jason Gettman is amazing. He actually let’s me help him so I can learn about my car as well. I love to go out, pop my hood, and be able to do something on my own! I’m alway’s thinking of something fun to do to her! After all, she’s my shy, and there’s no limits! She’s my passion!

IT WAS ALWAYS MY DREAM TO HAVE ONE OF THOSE.
My passion for the mythical Mustang began in 2002 when I was still living in Venezuela. My best friend’s father bought a 2002 Mustang GT and from that moment I fell in love. I began to look for information about Mustangs and fell in love with the 67 and 68 model. It was always my dream to have one of those. In 2017, I bought my first Mustang and it was a 2003 GT convertible like my friend’s dad’s, but always keeping my dream of owning a classic.
Back in 2021 after many searches, saving money and seeing many classics, I found a hidden diamond in Fort Myers FL. I traveled to see it in person and it was love at first sight. In very good condition sitting in a old barn, a car that came original from Connecticut. A tall man in his mid 80s told me that he is selling it because he can’t drive it anymore and as soon as he saw me, he asked me how old I was. At that time I was 27 and he told me “why do you want a classic like this? You are a young man you can have a 2020 or better” to which I replied “1968 is my favorite model and this is the car of my dreams” and he replied the following “when I bought this car brand new in 1968 I ordered it from the catalog and all the options in the car was my decision. I waited three months for it and when I signed for it at the dealer I was 27 years old.“ To make history more special, the day I bought the car from him was July 27, 2021, that’s why I say it is called “Lucky 27!”
I met Daniel Ramey at a Beltway Mustang show and won my spot with STANG Magazine in their Carlisle Ford Nationals display. Needless to say I wasn’t sure what to expect being that I didn’t know the people attending and was going by myself.
I am the second owner, and these last two years I have restored the life that this beautiful classic deserves. Little by little restoring it and returning it to its old glory, it has many options, luxury interior, bottom and top console, air conditioning, the very rare tilt away steering wheel not very common in Mustang but a very incredible function, the original 289 with 2-barrel carburetor and many other things that make me fall in love more every day with this amazing piece of history!
The STANG Mag family welcomed me in from the very start and made me feel like one of their own!

WHEN THE SUN HITS MY CAR YOU CAN SEE THE PURPLE SPARKLE...
I met Daniel Ramey at a Beltway Mustang show and won my spot with STANG Magazine in their Carlisle Ford Nationals display. Needless to say I wasn’t sure what to expect being that I didn’t know the people attending and was going by myself.
My passion for Mustangs started when I was 16 and my first car was a 1999 35th Anniversary Mustang. I loved that car! I drove it to college and put a lot of miles on it but also had a ton of fun memories in the 10 years I owned the car. I tried to switch to a different type of car that would handle the rain and snow better but after a few years and going to many car shows I knew I needed to be back inside a Mustang. My 2022 Ecoboost Mustang is my fifth Mustang and I am so happy that Ford has finally made a stock purple color. As soon as I heard about it I knew I had to have it! I named her Maleficent because she has a good and evil side just like me and it fits with the name of the paint color of the car, Mischievous Purple Metallic.
If you asked me if I thought I’d be writing an article for STANG Magazine for my car this time last year I would’ve said no. If you asked me if I would be writing it about a different car than the 2005 Roush Mustang I had I would’ve said hell no. Purple has always been my favorite color and it was also my mother’s favorite color. She passed away in 2004 and part of the reason why my car is purple is to honor her memory. I know she is in the car driving with me everyday just as excited about any new addition I add to the car. It has always been my dream to have the perfect purple Mustang and now I can finally say I have achieved that dream. When the sun hits my car and you can see the purple sparkle, it’s the best feeling in the world. I am so thankful I get to drive this car every day.

WHEN I TAKE HER OUT AND OPEN HER UP, I CAN FEEL HIM RIGHT BESIDE ME SMILING.
I grew up in a Ford family, but my first taste of Mustang adrenaline came in the 90s. I had a truck and a friend of mine had a Mustang. She needed to move and so we switched vehicles for a week. I fell in love with that little white Mustang and was sad to have to give it back to her when she got settled into her new place. I own horses, so a truck has always been the practical vehicle and a Mustang of my own just never played out... until Miss Betty.
If you asked me if I thought I’d be writing an article for STANG Magazine for my car this time last year I would’ve said no. If you asked me if I would be writing it about a different car than the 2005 Roush Mustang I had I would’ve said hell no. Miss Betty was originally my brother Mark’s car. She was his reward for all his hard work, time put in at school getting degrees and certificates, and promotions at work. I remember the day he got her. I work deep nights and he stayed up (as if he could sleep with a brand new Mustang in the driveway) so he could meet me on my lunch break and show her off. He let me drive her that night and all those emotions from the little white Mustang decades ago came flooding back. Once again, I did not want to hand over the keys when it was over. A mechanic by trade, Mark loved cars and loved working on them and a muscle car like her was his dream. Sadly, he only got to enjoy her a few years before losing his battle with cancer.
Mark made a few modifications and upgrades along the way and I used to tease him about how much he spent. Now that Miss Betty is mine, and I get to drive her on a more consistent basis, I have definitely been bit by the Mustang modifying bug. I understand his passion and have

discovered it in myself as well. I have already found myself making a list of additions and upgrades I want to do in the future. The low rumble of the exhaust, the way she glides down the highway, and hugs the corners; I can’t imagine driving anything else. When I take her out and open her up, I can feel him right beside me smiling. Miss Betty is special to me because she was Mark’s, but I love her for her soul.

After years of Mustang ownership and many models from Foxbody and SN95, I found myself in a low spot in my life. I had been in a 15 plus year drug addiction and spiraling out of control. I had pictures on the walls of some of my best cars I’d owned through the years. As I looked at them hanging on the wall it just sent me into a deep thought of how do I get myself back to who I used to be. After some tears and self reflection I reached for my phone and put a call into my parents to come and rescue me. Without a thought, my Mom and Dad came and took me out of the environment I was in and took me into their home until I got myself back. I went back to work and got my driver’s licenses back after years of not having them. Becoming a productive member of society again.
After a few months and many paychecks I purchased a 2002 Mustang GT Convertible, and began spending my money where I once did, on car parts and not drugs. I branded the car with the plate (NO DOPE) as a constant reminder of where I’m going and where I’ve been. After a couple years of playing with the 2002, I decided I was ready for a S550 and had to move the plate to the new car and am seven

DRIVE WITH THE MUSIC ON. IT IS A WHOLE NEW LEVEL OF FREEDOM.
This is PURTYSTNG and her original color was black. I had to have Rosegold. A Rosegold Mustang is just proper and suits me. It is also unique and stands out. It’s a wrap completed by Concept Wraps.
Not sure if mods were done, possibly before me purchasing it. I’m on IG at PRTYSTNG to match my plates. Not party stang either lol.
I’ve always loved Mustangs from the look, colors, styles, and noise. I always said before I’m 50, I’ll have one. I did it. The ride is nice and smooth, yet the need for speed is there. From cold start to cruising down the highway, it is simply amazing. Not a care in the world, all problems and thoughts are gone.
Just drive with the music on. It is a whole new level of freedom. I should of bought one years ago.

Cars have been my passion since I was a very young girl. My dad had a body shop and my sister and I were his most dedicated assistants. When I was young, any convertible or sportscar became an instant favorite, but Mustangs were always extra special. Every little girl in the 90s had or desired a toy Mustang for their dolls. As I grew older, having a Mustang of my own became more than a dream, it was a goal. On February 2023, that dream became reality.
Timing was right and I purchased my “Rebel Angel” for my son. He was diagnosed with Autism when he was two years old and Mustangs were always his favorites. He recognizes them and points them out when we’re on the road regardless of what year they are. I am extremely proud to be a Mustang Mama, and the joy, passion and excitement my son and I share when we take “Rebel Angel” for a ride can’t be explained. It’s true what they say... “If you don’t drive

IT’S THE SMALL THINGS IN LIFE THAT MATTER AND RUBY SHOWS ME THE WAY.
I always had a love for the open air. After I stopped riding a motorcycle due to an accident, I was left with a void, missing the wind and being out in nature. On a recommendation, I rented a Mustang convertible for a weekend and knew immediately I had to have one!

It’s been two years that I’ve had my Mustang. I go with Ruby for drives down quiet back roads, passing farmlands, along lakes, ocean coastlines and to see sunsets. I stop for photo ops to have a journal that illustrates it’s the small things in life that matter and Ruby shows me the way.
Gas station conversations and Mustang pages that I am a part of have led to friendships I otherwise would have never made. When you pass other Mustangs and give a nod and get one in return it says, “yes I understand”.

ONE SHOULD NEVER GIVE UP...
Growing up as kid I’ve always had my eye on Ford Mustangs. They were the best looking and sounding sportscars I got to see around. I always wanted to own a Mustang. I am 29 years old now and the story behind how I ended up with this specific Mustang is very personal and emotional. Around three years ago on my 26th birthday, I had a very serious injury that lead me to be in bed for two years. I was given 90 days to live at 27 years old. During those very dark and rough days the only thing that kept me going was the promise I made myself. Whenever I get out these dark days I will go buy my dream car. A dream I had since childhood.

Two months later after many failed treatments in Canada, I decided to fly to the US. There I ended up finding treatment and was given a second chance at life to enjoy the hobbies and be around the people I love. August 2022 I was able to go into a Ford dealership and purchase my own Mustang as I promised myself. A moment and day I’ll forever remember due to the amount of happiness and joy I felt.
Owning a Mustang has allowed me to go out and meet new people at car meets through a car club locally (M.M.G). Now a year later, they have become very close friends to me. One very special car care company that operates out of Holland Landing, Ontario is Jaxwax.ca. They have welcomed me into the car show world and have given me and my car support since day one. I’m proud to say they are like family to me now.
I would also like to take the opportunity to thank my show car club KAYOTIC, my sponsors for being the amazing people that they are, and Jaxwax.ca for all your car care product needs and also JDMCULTURE on instagram for
I decided to slowly build my Mustang to make it into a show car and it’s the perfect way for me to share my story and inspire others. To encourage others that are struggling, regardless what they are going through and to let them know there is always hope. That one should never give up on their dreams no matter what life throws at you or what you go through.

THERE IS NOTHING BETTER THAN A MICHIGAN SUMMER CRUISING WITH THE TOP DOWN AND THE MUSIC LOUD!
I’ve always had a love of Mustangs; growing up I remember them catching my eye wherever I was. I dreamed of someday owning one but it was always a “someday” dream. Someday arrived in 2016 when my husband surprised me with a trip to Wisconsin to pick up a 1996 Deep Violet Mustang - for me! My daughter named her Twilight Sparkle after the purple “My Little Pony” character because I always referred to my Mustang as “my pony”.

I have so many plans for future upgrades and mods but the first thing was to replace the 20 year old convertible top. New tires and wheels were next; the wheels were custom painted by TSP Custom Coatings in Muskegon, Michigan. The calipers are painted to complement the accent on the doors. It also has a custom dual exhaust system. I have a new stereo and speakers as well because there is nothing better than Michigan summer cruising with the top down and the music loud!
