MAGAZINE

Mustang enthusiasts have asked for a magazine that has no ads, no sales pitches, and no bogus “fillers” to eat up space. They have asked for a magazine that is free, easy to access, and nothing but focused on Mustang pictures and content. They have asked for a magazine produced and written by Mustang owners. They have asked for a magazine that highlights the daily drivers and the average Mustang that is driven and is not a trailer queen. They have asked for the chance to one day have their ride, their group, their club, or their cause to be recognized in print or online. It is our absolute pleasure to meet these standards and to give you STANG Magazine. We hope that both our message and our image will be seen in every Mustang community out there. Thank you Mustang fans and enjoy your ride!

MEMBERS OF THE STANG MAG FAMILY ARE MORE PASSIONATE ABOUT FUN AND INCLUSION THAN THEY ARE THEIR CARS AND THAT SAYS A LOT!

If you asked me if I thought I’d be writing an article for STANG Magazine for my car this time last year I would’ve said no. If you asked me if I would be writing it about a different car than the 2005 Roush Mustang I had I would’ve said hell no. I loved that car but acquiring this one reinvigorated my passion for car shows and events!

9TMARE Is my 2018 Ford Mustang Ecoboost Premium PP1 in Magnetic Metalic. Since purchasing 9TMARE, I’ve added mostly cosmetic items including a GT350 stripe kit in matte black with red accents, GT rear spoiler paint to match, rear side window louvers painted to match, and VMS drag pack wheels 18 x 5 front with M&H front runners 26 x 6.0 x 18 and 17 x 10 rears with 275/40/17 Atlas Force tires. 9TMARE is a factory PP1 car with oversized GT Brembo brakes, intercooler, and a turbocharged 2.3L with a 10 speed automatic.

This is a daily driver that I also take to local car shows! I’ve won many trophies in the past and hope to continue in the future. My passion for Mustangs began at an early age because my father owned a 66 Mustang 2+2 Fastback. Now I’m a Mustang guy for life. 9TMARE is my seventh Mustang!

I met Daniel Ramey at a Beltway Mustang show and won my spot with STANG Magazine in their Carlisle Ford Nationals display. Needless to say I wasn’t sure what to expect being that I didn’t know the people attending and was going by myself.

The STANG Mag family welcomed me in from the very start and made me feel like one of their own!

I LOOKED FORWARD TO THE DAY WHEN I COULD FINALLY DRIVE SOMETHING SEXY AND FUN!

I became a mom at 22 years old and had my last child nine days before I turned 41. All my adult life has been in some sort of a typical mom mobile. I looked forward to the day when I could finally drive something sexy and fun!

If you asked me if I thought I’d be writing an article for STANG Magazine for my car this time last year I would’ve said no. If you asked me if I would be writing it about a different car than the 2005 Roush Mustang I had I would’ve said hell no. I got lucky thanks to the aftermath of Covid and the lack of vehicles on dealers lots. My salesman kept bugging me to trade in my 2019 Escape, so one day I finally said the only thing I would trade for is a Mustang. He told me to build what I wanted and he’d get it priced out. A few weeks later I had placed my order and waited six long months for my dream car to arrive.

Betty has been one of my best decisions. I enjoy driving her and find it therapeutic and fun. Every girl should have a Mustang!

THE FIRST THING I NOTICED WAS IT WAS CLEAN...

If you asked me if I thought I’d be writing an article for STANG Magazine for my car this time last year I would’ve said no. If you asked me if I would be writing it about a different car than the 2005 Roush Mustang I had I would’ve said hell no. The Mustang I have now is what I plan to keep forever. He runs well, sounds strong, takes corners like they are not there, and he is beautiful which many people tell me. When I saw this Mustang in a car lot, I stopped the car I was driving and walked over. The first thing I noticed was that it was clean, it had 97,567 miles on it, and wow that it was low. I walked around it; it was perfect I thought. I negotiated the price for a few thousand dollars lower than their asking price. It was a rainy day and they had it for a long time during the winter months so they wanted it gone. With the money I saved on the car, I put a new top on and tinted the windows. It made it look like a totally different car. I am from the Muscle era days when you had either a Chevy or a Ford. I really liked the Camaros and Mustangs.

My dad and ex-husband built their Chevy dream cars, with a Corvette or Camaro to go fast and put on the biggest wheels. It took a man to drive them. I did not

enjoy driving them. It was not fun. When I was out on my own, I found my first Mustang. It was normal, not the biggest engine or the biggest transmission. It was a nice drive. So, I kind of liked the Mustang and I love the one I have now. It is going to be my forever car. It is not driven every day, just special occasions and Mustang cruises.

IT’S TRULY A WONDERFUL FEELING TO DRIVE YOUR CHILDHOOD DREAM CAR...

Dream is a 2018 Ecoboost Premium Mustang. I purchased Dream about two years ago and this is one of the best decisions I have ever made.

If you asked me if I thought I’d be writing an article for STANG Magazine for my car this time last year I would’ve said no. If you asked me if I would be writing it about a different car than the 2005 Roush Mustang I had I would’ve said hell no. A litte backstory, since childhood I always had a deep passion for sportscars especially Mustangs. I kept saying “I’m going to get a Mustang one day” and that dream finally became a reality.

It’s truly a wonderful feeling to drive your childhood dream car and I am beyond thrilled driving this beauty. Currently, there are no modifications. It’s a special privilege to be featured in STANG Magazine along with other cool Mustangs and a special thanks to my brother for finding this beauty.

THIS CAR HAS A BIT OF A STORY.

I have never owned a Ford before I saw and heard this one. I had to have it, but it wasn’t for sale at the time. A couple years later, it was mine.

This car has a bit of a story. It was originally owned by an older gentleman who was diagnosed with cancer and his dream was to travel to Florida (from Canada), in a Mustang Convertible before he passed. So he and his daughter purchased the car and made his dream come true. Once they were back in Canada, the car was for sale and the rest is history.

Mods list includes side Roush exhaust, side skirts, front chin splitter, rear spoiler, top bar, car has been dropped, Sony touch screen sound system, and a few others.

Ever since I was little, I have always wanted a Mustang. Sounds cliche but it’s true! After getting married and going through the “early married couples no money part of life” I thought I would never get that Mustang I wanted for so long. Then it happened! One winter, a week from Christmas my husband came home late at night with my dream. A 2016 Mustang Convertible.

After a set of wheels, exhaust, and racing stripes, I made the car my own. This car means a lot to me and always will. My life contains car shows now and car clubs and making many other Mustang friends. I warn you, not only do you buy a Mustang... you buy a lifestyle.

It is equipped with Project 6GR 19” rims, cold air intake, and Next Step Performance axle back exhaust.

MY PASSION STARTED FOR FOXBODYS IN 1991 WITH A STRIPPER MODEL 87 LX...

This is a 1988 Ford Mustang that I call “Miss Contrary”.

My passion started for Foxbodys in 1991 with a stripper model 87 LX and it has just continued through years to my latest 88 Coupe.

This pony has no A/C, no power windows or doors, no cruise, etc... It is a Coupe with a 302, 5 speed, 411 8.8 on 275/60/15 MT drag radials, and has a UPR K-member, coil over kit, AFR heads, x303 cam, and a 150 shot nitrous.

I HAVE ALWAYS BEEN A MUSTANG LOVER...

My name is Angel Duran. I am a retired executive of the Pharmaceutical Industry in Puerto Rico. I have always been a Mustang lover, but for different reasons I never owned one until now, at age 73. I bought my “Stang” early this year, and me and my wife are enjoying every moment we spend together driving it throughout the Puerto Rico landscapes. We belong to a local Mustang Club called “Groupo de Mustang Indomables” in Spanish or Undamable (or unmanagable) Mustang Group” in English. We have two activities per month, including meets, rallies, picnics etc...

When I bought it in February this year it was completely stock, except for the Premium Package including Ebony leather seats, 20 x9 ‘ BR Mach aluminum wheels, 265/35R 20 all-weather tire, digital cluster, premium audio system, active exhaust and had 13,750 miles, now is 15,400 miles.

I have since added full ceramic coated treatment, locally manufactured front splitter with rods, doubly rally stripes, bonnet mount pin lock latches kit for retro look, quarter scoop cover for rear and side windows, 1” wheel spacers, retro gas tank cover, replaced stock rear spoiler for a PP1

spoiler, hood lift strut shocks, strut tower brace, K&N CAI, Mishimoto coolant reservoir aluminum tank, J&L oil can/ separator, and Ford rRacing x-piepe with resonator delete.

THE RIGHT CAR AT THE RIGHT TIME CAME ALONG.

This is my 2004 Mustang GT 40th Anniversary Edition Mustang equipped with Steeda short shifter, BBK throttle body, BBK cold air intake, Flowmaster exhaust, and CDC classic lightbar.

Growing up I’ve always been a fan of the Mustang hoping to own one someday. After riding a sportsbike for years I made the switch to one of my dream cars... the Mustang.

After sometime looking for a Mustang , the right car at the right time came along. With a few hours drive away to pick the car up,vwe drove it back just as a tornado had hit the area where we picked it up from. Just trying to stay ahead of it, we were lucky the car suffered no damage other than just the torrential downpours. Now she is sheltered in my garage and only sees sunny skies.

IT IS MADE TO HELP INSPIRE OTHERS TO MAKE THEIR CAR THEIR OWN, HOWEVER THEY CAN ONE DAY.

My son and I have been doing car shows since he was 5 and finally able to start doing them ourselves. He has had a lot of inspiration in what he thinks is cool on this car and when we win trophies and sponsors he is the one that receives them. I’ve had this car brand new from the showroom floor with 26 miles on it and for a little over two and half years now. I’ve put 49,000 miles on it driving from Tennessee to Kentucky, to Mississippi, to Michigan, and to North Carolina for shows and events.

A lot of the inspiration for this is to simply stand out but still be as simply clean as possible without going overboard . It is anime themed and something that would bring more kids back into loving the car scene. It is made to help inspire others to make their car their own, however they can one day.

Current mods include Parker Performance tuning, Street Aero diffuser, louvers, and front splitter, Parker Performance catch can, cold air intake, duck bill spoiler, Flexan

NOW THERE IS NO QUESTION THAT THIS CAR IS OWNED BY A FEMALE AND SHE IS PROUD OF IT!

The STANG Mag family welcomed me in from the very start and made me feel like one of their own!

My car is a 2019 Ecoboost Mustang Convertible. She is Ruby Red and I call her Scarlett. The only modifications I have done are the inside bling.

Before I retired, I was too practical to even consider a convertible in Massachusetts. However, when I retired to Florida, driving with the top down and enjoying all the air and sunshine seemed like a really good idea. When I told my son I was buying a red Mustang convertible as my primary ride, he reminded me that when he was in high school, I had told him my favorite car was a Mustang. He said he didn’t understand it then and really didn’t understand it now. I got the feeling he thought I was too old to make such a choice.

As it turned out, buying the Mustang was a great idea. I joined clubs, entered car shows, even won some People’s Choice awards, met a lot of people, and really enjoyed cruising around. During the pandemic I got bored and decided I wanted more bells and whistles than my 2016 Mustang Convertible provided. That’s when I bought its 2019 twin that included a GPS, pony puddles, and apple play. I was a happy camper! The one thing that bothered me was

when people (usually men) would ask me if the Mustang was my husband’s car. I didn’t have a husband and why would that ever be a question? As a result, I decided to “bling” out the interior of my Mustang. My steering wheel, shift, and dashboard are all decked out in rhinestones. Now there is no question that this car is owned by a female and she is proud of it!

My Mustang passion started at a very young age. I remember riding in my father’s 69 Fastback and helping him restore it. When I was older, my first car was a 96 GT convertible. That’s when I really started to become obsessed with cars.

Not even two years later, I got a 93 Foxbody GT that my father and I put a lot of work into. Later I traded my 96 for my current 2014 GT Silver Bullet.

I have been slowly building Silver Bullet for the past six years. My favorite mod so far is the Boss 302 intake and the Boss style C stripes on the side. Other mods include BBK cold air intake, Dyno tuned by Woodbine Motorsports, Flowmaster Scavenger X-pipe and Flowmaster outlaws, and SR Performance 1.5 inch lowering springs. The next major mod will be a Vortech supercharger.

I met Daniel Ramey at a Beltway Mustang show and won my spot with STANG Magazine in their Carlisle Ford Nationals display. Needless to say I wasn’t sure what to expect being that I didn’t know the people attending and was going by myself.

WHAT I ENJOY THE MOST IS MEETING UP WITH OTHER FRIENDS WITH MUSTANGS...

I had a 2009 Mustang V6 and wanted an upgrade so I sold it and found this 2017 GT used with 20,000 miles all stock. Over the course of the two years I have owned this car, I have been busy adding and doing all the mods myself. The harder mods I did over the winter while the car was tucked away for winter, like the exhaust, headers, lowering springs and camber adjustments.

If you asked me if I thought I’d be writing an article for STANG Magazine for my car this time last year I would’ve said no. If you asked me if I would be writing it about a different car than the 2005 Roush Mustang I had I would’ve said hell no. I do take my Mustang to car shows. What I enjoy the most is meeting up with other friends with Mustangs and cruising together to a destination or two for the day. There’s nothing like the loud roar of a Mustang with aftermarket exhaust.

Mods include 1 7/8 long tube headers, Corsa extreme catback exhaust, Airaid cold air intake, throttle body spacer, Sec10 throttle enhancer, Lund N-gauge tuner, TSW Tabic Black 19” wheels, lowering springs, GT500 hood, duck bill rear spoiler, front lower splitter, GT500 side splitters, painted calipers, Matte Black strip outlined with red, Matte Black gas door, Red 4 point racing belts, center mounted harness bar, and red shifter knob.

I met Daniel Ramey at a Beltway Mustang show and won my spot with STANG Magazine in their Carlisle Ford Nationals display. Needless to say I wasn’t sure what to expect being that I didn’t know the people attending and was going by myself.

THE “FOR SALE” PAPERWORK FLEW OFF THE WINDSHIELD!

The STANG Mag family welcomed me in from the very start and made me feel like one of their own!

Growing up, my dad wanted to make sure my brother and I didn’t have a boring childhood. He was a professional drag boat racer and he raced the one and only competition flat bottom big block Ford. As a result of the thrill and adrenaline rush, my passion and drive was shifted straight into Ford Mustangs. I bought my first Mustang in the dark. My dad and I found a black 1986 Foxbody Mustang with dual headlights and t-tops in an auto trader magazine. I was amazed by the function of the glass t-tops, with the flip of a handle I could turn the car into a convertible! The unbreakable bond between my Foxbody Mustang and I started 27 years ago. Today the unbreakable bond continues with my 2019 Mustang GT. My dad and I were on the hunt for local Mustangs for sale. We came across a dealership that had a Velocity Blue Mustang GT showcased. As soon as I saw the the 19” deep dish staggered wheels and metallic blue paint, I was ready to take it for a spin. As we were getting ready to take the car out for a drive, I fired it up and the whole garage roared. While we were out test driving, the “for sale” paperwork flew off the windshield! Destiny had been determined! When we returned to

If you asked me if I thought I’d be writing an article for STANG Magazine for my car this time last year I would’ve said no. If you asked me if I would be writing it about a different car than the 2005 Roush Mustang I had I would’ve said hell no. I loved that car but acquiring this one reinvigorated my passion for car shows and events!

the dealership, I looked at my dad with a huge smile on my face and he knew my mind was made up. My never ending passion for Mustangs still continues on. I enjoy sharing it with other enthusiasts!

THE BEST PART OF OWNING THIS CAR FOR ME IS THE HISTORY...

My passion for Mustangs started at a really young age. My grandpa had a 2006 GT in the Torch Red. I spent countless hours with him wrenching on the car and going to car shows. When he got to the point where he couldn’t drive it anymore he sold the car in 2014. In 2018, he passed away and I went and bought the Outlaw.

Once I got the car, I was lucky enough to be invited into the Iowa Mustang Unstabled group. Over the last five years it has been great to build my car and be able to share it with the group. The best part of owning this car for me is the history and meeting the friends I have through car shows and cruises.

Build sheet includes a Cervini ram air hood, duck tail spoiler, CDC chin splitter, FR500 wheels, Ford Performance hot rod cams, Ford Performance 3.73 gears, SR Performance under drive pulleys, Pypes X-pipe, and SLP loud mouth axle back.
