Mustang enthusiasts have asked for a magazine that has no ads, no sales pitches, and no bogus “fillers” to eat up space. They have asked for a magazine that is free, easy to access, and nothing but focused on Mustang pictures and content. They have asked for a magazine produced and written by Mustang owners. They have asked for a magazine that highlights the daily drivers and the average Mustang that is driven and is not a trailer queen. They have asked for the chance to one day have their ride, their group, their club, or their cause to be recognized in print or online. It is our absolute pleasure to meet these standards and to give you STANG Magazine. We hope that both our message and our image will be seen in every Mustang community out there. I KNEW THAT SHE WAS A RARE MUSTANG...

I met Daniel Ramey at a Beltway Mustang show and won my spot with STANG Magazine in their Carlisle Ford Nationals display. Needless to say I wasn’t sure what to expect being that I didn’t know the people attending and was going by myself.

Coming from a family of Ford employees in Cincinnati, OH, I always liked Ford cars, especially the Mustang. When I was starting to get interested in cars my brother bought a 1979 Mustang Indy Pace Car. I loved the roar of the engine and the bright graphics of it. Fast forward 40 years and I am even more into Mustangs. I try to go to every car show I can and I have been to Mustang Week nine times. I’m always looking at the different mods other Mustang owners do to their Mustangs.

If you asked me if I would be writing it about a different car than the 2005 Roush Mustang I had I would’ve said hell no. I loved that car but acquiring this one reinvigorated my passion for car shows and events!

When I found Annie, I knew that she was a rare Mustang being a 50th Anniversary Edition. I wanted to make her one of a kind with the mods I chose for her. The Spider Top was a must have when I first saw it. When looking for wheels I wanted something that would be unique and compliment the styling of the car. I was lucky enough to get the 50 ANNIE license plate.

I HAVE BIG PLANS FOR A LOT OF PERFORMANCE MODIFICATIONS...

If you asked me if I would be writing it about a different car than the 2005 Roush Mustang I had I would’ve said hell no. I loved that car but acquiring this one reinvigorated my passion for car shows and events!

My passion for Mustangs stems back to my early childhood. When I was around 16 years old I was working at a local shop where I would do miscellaneous tasks, one of them pulling cars around for customers. One evening I pulled around a 1986 Mustang GT and from that moment I knew I had to have one. Shortly after, I bought my first Mustang which was a 1990 Mustang LX (Notchback) 5.0 five speed. Then later on it was a 1993 Mustang LX (Hatchback) 5.0 five speed, then a 2006 Mustang GT convertible, a 2009 Mustang GT convertible and now my current 2023 Mustang GT. My 2023 Mustang GT is a long time coming. It currently is factory stock but this upcoming winter when I put it away I have big plans for a lot of performance modifications from the ground up. As it sits currently it is outfitted with the Mustang Nite Pony Package, Recaro leather seats, B&O sound system, equipment group 401a, Active Valve Performance Exhaust system and the MT82 6-speed transmission with 3.55 gearing. Mustang that color was a must for me. The color combination of Grabber Blue and Black have gotten me a lot of compliments as it just stands out!

BRITTANY BLUE –2022 MUSTANG ECOBOOST

MY OBSESSIVE PASSION CONTINUES TO GROW.

This is “Brittany Blue”, my 2022 Ecoboost Coastal Limited Edition Mustang. The only mod I’ve done is to have it ceramic coated. As far as I’m concerned it needs nothing else.

My mustang passion, or you could say obsession, began in 2012 when I accidentally caught a flash of a beautiful Mustang as I was driving on a very busy road. I thought, I’ve got to have a car like that. My family all laughed at me because I was in my 50s at the time. I had been driving a very dependable, quiet, boring Camry for 11 years. It was time for something new. I got a 2013 Mustang and absolutely loved it. I had that one for four years and then bought a 5.0 white convertible which I also had for four years. My next Mustang was a black 5.0 which was even cooler.

Today I’m driving the 2022 Ecoboost and I love it. Great gas mileage and a nice ride. I feel so happy when I’m driving it. I drive everywhere just to be in it. The car gives me a sense of total freedom from all life’s worries. My obsessive passion continues to grow.

WHAT A HUGE DIFFERENCE IN POWER AND TECHNOLOGY!

I loved that car but acquiring this one reinvigorated my passion for car shows and events!

In 2008, I purchased a new Mustang GT/CS Convertible. I did minor modifications, exhaust, cold air induction, and sequential turn signals. The Mustang was always garage kept and only had 29,000 miles. In 2023, I decided it was time for an upgrade and I traded for a new GT/CS.

What a huge difference in power and technology! The only thing I added was “Shelby Style“ stripes, installed by Hawkeye Brothers in Daytona Beach. A fellow member of the Daytona Mustang Club now owns my 2008 and is thrilled to have it.

I loved the look of the S550 from the first time I saw one. In October 2017, I woke up one day and impulsively decided to buy one. I called the local dealer and told them to find me a 2017 Gray GT 6 speed, no bells and whistles. Two weeks later, “Gray Area” was in my driveway. Little did I know, that it would lead to hundreds of friendships in the Mustang and performance driving community. As a previous owner of a 1972 Coupe and a 1988 GT, and loving them, the S550 just beats them both. It is by far the best car I have ever owned. From the sound of the Borla ATAK catback cold start, to the time I pull back into the shop, every drive is a joy, both on and off the track. It handles like a racecar, because well, that’s pretty much what it has become.

Purchased with the intent of having a fun daily driver, that soon changed once I discovered Autocross and Track. Since then, It soon became a nearly track only trailer queen, with occasional street use, and the love of my life. My build focus was strictly performance and handling. THE START OF MY PASSION THAT WILL LAST A LIFETIME...

When I was ten years old I saw a 1967 black Fastback Mustang GT in a magazine and fell in love. It was the start of my dream to one day have a Mustang of my own and the start of my passion that will last a lifetime. My Daddy gave me my first, a 1989 white 5.0 Foxbody LX. I have since owned three more. I passed my Mustang passion on to my husband after we met and our currant Mustang is a 2007 black Mustang GT we call Gunner. We have also passed our love of Mustangs to our children. Our daughter has owned two and our son’s dream is to one day own a Foxbody. We are a Mustang family.

WE PURCHASED THE ROUSH IN OCTOBER 2009 OFF THE SHOWROOM FLOOR.

I have been a fan of Mustangs since the debut at World’s Fair. My first car was a 1964 1/2 coupe with 260 cu in V8. We purchased the Roush in October 2009 off the showroom floor. We have enjoyed all 67,200 miles. This is #27 of 100 made. I of 9 made with color combination with manual transmission.

I have done many upgrades with drivetrain and cosmetics. I added Roush cold air intake, Ford Racing throttle body, and tuned for both upgrades. I also added a Drive Shaft Shop one piece driveshaft, Roush big brake kit, painted valve covers with Roush Racing logo, aluminum coolant tanks, Roush billet caps, and Roush 429R white letters on the tires.

WE WOULD TAKE DRIVES WITH IT ON WEEKENDS.

My dad purchased the convertible in 1988 for my son that was only three years old. It was a nice driver and we would take drives with it on weekends. My son got his driver’s license in 2001 and drove it through high school. When he graduated and went to college, I completely disassembled it to restore it. I made a rotisserie to put it on. I have done all of the restoration myself with the exception of the top. I had it installed at a local shop.

NOTHING BEATS THE LOUD GROWL ON A COLD START...

I have always appreciated and loved muscle cars since I was little. Car shows were always a favorite. Being able to see all the work and love put into a car was always amazing and often times mind blowing. Now I have a little slice of that! Nothing beats the loud growl on a cold start or the exhilarating feeling of driving something you put your heart into. It never gets old!

I picked this beauty up in Raleigh, NC from an independent dealer. The entire body was riddled with stone chips, white paint overspray, and a ton of scratches. After quite some time wet sanding, buffing and wax, the brilliant Kona Blue was restored. I am so excited for the future projects coming up for this car and to be apart of the STANG community! RANDY HENSLEY MILLIE - 1965 MUSTANG

My 1965 Ford Mustang has been in my family since the day it was driven off the lot from my grandfather in June 1965. Two weeks later my grandparents went across country to CA from VA to see their older son. My grandfather had the car until his health declining in 2001 with a stroke. Nine years later he passed away. He told my Dad sometime after his stroke that he wanted the car to remain in the family after he passes on and that my Dad will have it next and then to me. My Dad had it until I lost him in 2015 which he had in his name for 11 years. I promised my Dad I would keep it running as long as I can before he died. I inherited the car two months later in November 2015 and since then I still have it and to this day she still runs. “Millie” is what I named it in 2017.

Millie came with a 289 engine, V8 which is original as well as its Wimbledon White paint. It also came with factory AC (not working), remote driver’s mirror and its cruise o’ matic, and AM radio (now a Mustang FM/AM/Aux digital radio). It is always garage kept. In 2014 my Dad and I enrolled the Mustang in our local cruise in and to this day I still take it to cruise ins.

RUSSELL DOTSON MY COBRA –2001 SVT COBRA

BY FAR THE COOLEST.

This is Mustang #4 for me but by far the coolest.

I recently acquired this car from the original owner. The car was kept in a garage and seldom driven. When I took delivery the odometer read 25,980.

I loved that car but acquiring this one reinvigorated my passion for car shows and events!

It was a most remarkable find. With the exception of the custom pin striping this car is as it came from the dealer. The tires I replaced came on the car.

I’ve replaced belts, hoses, and all the fluids. I also changed out the headlights but I have the originals in a box. All of the other Mustangs I’ve had have been modified, one in particular highly so. I couldn’t bring myself to change this car.

It’s certainly not the strongest Cobra Ford has produced, but it is still very special.

SELENE –2021 MUSTANG ECOBOOST

SELENE, WHICH IS THE GREEK GODDESS OF THE MOON.

Selene isn’t my first Mustang but so far she is the best one! My first Mustang was an 87 red convertible when I was around 17 years old. It wasn’t the nicest looking Mustang but it was a good little car for me to get to and from school and I just loved it to death. Eventually, the transmission went and I had to get rid of it. For a while I lived vicariously through my parents’ two Roush Mustangs, attended shows with them, and still continued to go to the drag strip to get my fill of Mustangs. Fifteen years later I have been able to get rid of my family car and get the Mustang I have wanted for so long.

I took possession of my brand new Mustang Ecoboost with just 47 miles on her. Her gorgeous silver color gave me the idea for her name Selene, which is the Greek goddess of the Moon. I chose to add purple accents to compliment the silver and try to make her a little different than any other silver Mustang.

Selene’s mods include an emblem delete deck lid replacement, 20mm wheel spacers, aftermarket hood vents, upgraded ceramic tint all around, side window louvers, custom badges with her name, underglow lighting, custom painted calipers, custom laser cut floor mats, and multiple purple interior accent additions... but she isn’t done yet!

If you asked me if I thought I’d be writing an article for STANG Magazine for my car this time last year I would’ve said no. If you asked me if I would be writing it about a different car than the 2005 Roush Mustang I had I would’ve said hell no. I loved that car but acquiring this one reinvigorated my passion for car shows and events!

I have always been in love with Mustangs. When I saw this 2018 Mustang GT on the lot, there were no questions asked. I purchased it on the spot. I fell in love with the Royal Crimson color, not to mention the performance. I’m amazed at how you can customize your car to be so different than any other Mustang. Being in a car club (5CCountry Cruisers Classic Car Club Riegelwood, NC) brings you in contact with other Mustang lovers that are willing to share mods and suggestions on what has worked for them to help improve performance.

Mods include custom body kit by Sherrod, lowering springs, Flomaster exhaust, cold air intake, long tube headers, and Palm Beach Dyno tune.

My name is Ray Okon, “Mustang Enthusiast”. This is my second car and the most cherished by far. The Sherrod is my dream car come true! Previously, I owned a red convertible Mustang GT 25th Anniversary Edition. This was my “play car”. Activities were enjoyed with the members of the Fort Myers Mustang Club for a few years. Unfortunately, I sold it and always regretted my decision. In 2017, I spotted the car of my dreams on the Ford showroom floor in the Daytona Beach dealership. My wife and I just needed to take the “White Pony “for a run. This drive resulted in him galloping to my home and becoming part of the family. Since that day, we joined the Daytona Beach Mustang Club and enjoyed many shows and cruises with the members. One of my most memorable shows was the Turkey Run at the Daytona International Speedway. I was able to drive my grandson around the entire track. He and I will never forget that experience!
