MAGAZINE JANUARY 2025

EDITOR’S CHOICE

MAGAZINE

Mustang enthusiasts have asked for a magazine that has no ads, no sales pitches, and no bogus “fillers” to eat up space. They have asked for a magazine that is free, easy to access, and nothing but focused on Mustang pictures and content. They have asked for a magazine produced and written by Mustang owners. They have asked for a magazine that highlights the daily drivers and the average Mustang that is driven and is not a trailer queen. They have asked for the chance to one day have their ride, their group, their club, or their cause to be recognized in print or online. It is our absolute pleasure to meet these standards and to give you STANG Magazine. We hope that both our message and our image will be seen in every Mustang community out there. Thank you Mustang fans and enjoy your ride!

MEMBERS OF THE STANG MAG FAMILY ARE MORE PASSIONATE ABOUT FUN AND INCLUSION THAN THEY ARE THEIR CARS AND THAT SAYS A LOT!

I met Daniel Ramey at a Beltway Mustang show and won my spot with STANG Magazine in their Carlisle Ford Nationals display. Needless to say I wasn’t sure what to expect being that I didn’t know the people attending and was going by myself.

The STANG Mag family welcomed me in from the very start and made me feel like one of their own!

RUNS, DRIVES, AND LOOKS AMAZING!

This 2001 Cobra owned by Gary Lavoie was built by Roger Fortune from Fox Nutz Stangz. This one year project started as a shell. We painted the car Sunburst Orange matching the valve covers to the car.

If you asked me if I thought I’d be writing an article for STANG Magazine for my car this time last year I would’ve said no. If you asked me if I would be writing it about a different car than the 2005 Roush Mustang I had I would’ve said hell no. I loved that car but acquiring this one reinvigorated my passion for car shows and events!

The next step was to Install a 03 Cobra engine and 4r70w transmission with MSD trans controller. We also added a solid axle from an 03 GT used Saleen bilstein suspension, springs and sway bars, ESR wheels with drag radial tires, 01 Cobra interior, B&M shifter, Cobra R hood with struts to hold up the hood, and a Saleen wing to finish off the rear. A little bit of polished aluminum coolant jugs was added to class it up. The car runs, drives, and looks amazing!

IT’S A GREAT FEELING TO BE ABLE TO PRESERVE A PIECE OF AMERICAN HISTORY.

If you asked me if I thought I’d be writing an article for STANG Magazine for my car this time last year I would’ve said no. If you asked me if I would be writing it about a different car than the 2005 Roush Mustang I had I would’ve said hell no. This is my 1965 Mustang nicknamed “Carolyn”. She is named after my late mother. She is equipped with a built 289 Windsor, Enforcer Aluminum heads, stainless steel Summit Racing headers, Comp thumper cam, Edelbrock highrise intake, Edelbrock 4 barrel carb, C4 Trans with stall converter, 5 lug disc brake upgrade, frame rail stiffeners, subframe connectors, and American Racing retro tribute rims.

This “barn find” fell in my lap. I was not really actively looking for another project car but it was too good to pass up. I am the third owner of this Mustang. The car’s original owner lived in Missouri and it made the entire Route 66 trip in the 80s.

Bringing this classic back to life was both enjoyable and extremely frustrating at the same time. The interior has been completely redone as well as 12v wiring upgrades from front to back. In the summertime, we take it to shows, to run to the store, or to take the dogs for a ride. It always puts a smile on our faces when people stop us and want to know

about the car. It’s a great feeling to be able to preserve a piece of American history.

I’VE BEEN A CAR ENTHUSIAST SINCE

Hi I’m Kolby and this is my 2018 Ford Mustang GT Premium Track Package. I call her Miranda. I’ve been a car enthusiast since I was little and always loved going to car shows to see all the cool builds. I fell in love with the S550 platform when I first saw it in Formula Drift in 2019. I bought the car stock in February of 2022 and have slowly been modifying it to my standards to this day.

My mods so far are Kooks long tube headers, Corsa dual X-pipe, Corsa carbon fiber intake, Steeda lowering springs, 20 x 10.5 XXR in a rare Brushed Silver, RTR grille lights, RTR front lip, RTR gurney flap, Street Areo diffuser, and tuned by Lund Racing on 93 and E85.

IT’S BEEN QUITE AN EXPERIENCE TRANSFORMING HIM...

MEMBERS OF THE STANG MAG FAMILY ARE MORE PASSIONATE ABOUT FUN AND INCLUSION THAN THEY ARE THEIR CARS AND THAT SAYS A LOT!

This is “Moose” my 2021 Ford Mustang GT Premium with Performance Package. My dad taught me how to drive manual transmission in a silver Mustang II Ghia back in the 70s. In the early 80s that car became my first Mustang. Next came a 35th Anniversary SVT Cobra Convertible. The engine build date on it was my birthday. It was just meant to be. In 2017, a Roush Stage 3 Convertible came into my life for some good times. Moose is my fourth Mustang. I bought him because he is a manual transmission silver Mustang, going full circle back to my first time behind the wheel of a Mustang.

Moose and I enjoy doing car shows, most of which benefit charities. We also do an occasional cruise-in or Mustang club cruise. Probably a good 75-80% of his miles are on account of those activities alone. I drove roughly 4000 miles roundtrip to do the Mackinaw City Mustang Stampede last year, a show I’d been wanting to do with a family member and his 1967 Mustang.

Moose has had many things done to him since he found a home in my garage, most noticeably his custom painted marble striping. I particularly like the feel of his custom spec’d carbon fiber steering wheel from Dyna Performance. The Power Stop Z26 slotted and drilled rotors and low-dust ceramic pads do a great job of bringing him to a halt. Both of those

installs were done by the awesome team at Parker Performance in New Port Richey, FL. I’ve also added several Roush Performance parts, including their cold air intake. Parts from quite a few other manufacturers’ grace him inside and out.

It’s been quite an experience transforming him into the unique creature that always puts a big smile on my face.

I HAVE ENJOYED BEING ABLE TO SHARE THIS PASSION WITH MY FAMILY...

The STANG Mag family welcomed me in from the very start and made me feel like one of their own!

The Ford Mustang has always been my favorite car. From a young age, it was my dream to call one my own. Owning and modifying my car has been my most enjoyed passion over the past 13 years.

I purchased my 2011 Ford Mustang GT brand new in August 2010. I have attended many car shows with my car over the years and I have made many new car friends as well. I assisted with the opening of a car show in my hometown that has now had five successful shows.

My daughters and wife also share my passion by attending car shows to support me. Two years ago, my oldest daughter also got a Mustang to call her own. I have enjoyed being able to share this passion with my family as it makes me feel closer with them. My daughter and I will always compare our projects that we have planned for the future.

I have five pages of modifications. I am still modifying my car to this day and my next plans are to upgrade the brake system and the front suspension. To me, that’s the beauty in owning a Mustang. I will always have plans whether it will be modifying it or attending a car show with family and friends.

A VISION TO DESIGN IT MYSELF TO BE DIFFERENT THAN MOST OUT THERE.

My car is a 2015 Mustag GT Convertible 50th Anniversary Edtion. It is nicknamed “OBNXIUS.” I Bought this car plain white with a vision to design it myself to be different than most out there. It took me four years to complete and this is what I came up with.

If you asked me if I thought I’d be writing an article for STANG Magazine for my car this time last year I would’ve said no. If you asked me if I would be writing it about a different car than the 2005 Roush Mustang I had I would’ve said hell no. It is mostly cosmetic and a little for horsepower. I really enjoyed the process and driving it at car shows and cruises even more.

As you can see, a lot of transformation bodywise from new add ons to a custom paint job. Interior was also redesigned and the engine bay compartment was all hydrodipped with heat shield and airbrushed on the hood. I also added staggered Foose wheels and Nitto tires.

Mechanically it has a new air intake, long tube headers with Solo Performance exhaust, and a tune from Lund Racing.

Purchasing this car stock in May of 2021, many hours went into building the uniqueness around this car. Within three years, this Mustang has had a complete transformation interior and exterior. I am extremely proud of the car it is today.

This is my 2005 Mustang GT, nicknamed “SLO3V.” I’ve always been a car enthusiasts to the point I’ve made working on cars my career. I grew up a Chevy guy up untill I bought my Mustang. I remember looking at the 2005 Mustangs when they came out thinking they were a good looking car. In 2021 I was in search of a fun car as a new daily driver. This Mustang kept popping up in all my searches, so I decided to go look at it and fell in love not only with it but Fords in general.

Since my purchase of my car I have added several performance mods which include, Howards rattler cams, JBA long tube headers, JLT cold air intake, 4.10 gears, Hurst short throw shifter, Lito tune, Borla exhaust, 62 mm throttle body, Eibach sportline springs, and a Exedy clutch. I’ve done alot of work to make the car one of a kind including a carbon fiber hood, carbon fiber duck tail spoiler, Raxiam tail lights, 66 Polar Customs rear diffuser, side splitters, front lip, bullitt grille, Konig wheels, and a full custom paint job done in Harley Davidson Olive Gold with PPG paints.

I am currently adding a Department of Boost supercharger kit and custom upholstery. The little changes make a big difference and this Mustang is definitely becoming very unique in its own way!

I WAS ALWAYS A LITTLE INTO MUSTANGS.

This is “The Mustang.” It is a 2015 Mustang GT Premium. I was always a little into Mustangs. I had a 1982 Notchback in high school and a 1997 off the lot a year after graduating.

If you asked me if I thought I’d be writing an article for STANG Magazine for my car this time last year I would’ve said no. I got this beast as a Father’s day gift from my wife in 2018. “The Mustang” has came a long way since then.

Mods include a Gen 3 short block, VMP Gen R3 supercharger, triple core dual fan heat exchanger, Fore return style fuel system, 1050ID injectors, Comp custom ground cams, 3.73 rear end, Mcleod clutch, one piece driveshaft, and Stainless Works 2” primary headers to Corsa Extremes.

Special shout out to the Outkast Car Culture!

MANY YEARS AGO MY FATHER STARTED MY PASSION FOR MUSTANGS...

My car’s nick name is Trigger as in Roy Rogers and his horse Trigger. Roy and Trigger. Many years ago my father started my passion for Mustangs with his 1965 Fastback Mustang. During my younger days I would drag race in Chicago on the infamous South Chicago and Stoney Island streets. I loved fast cars and fast girls. Thank God I’ve grown up. I have had several Mustangs including three different Foxbodys, SN95, S197 and now my S550.

Trigger is a 2017 Ford Mustang GT Premium Coupe PP1

Performance Package Shadow Black 401A package and has Brembo 6 piston front performance brakes, full heated/cooled leather seats, big touch screen, Shaker sound system, Gauge pack (vacuum and oil pressure) and performance tuned suspension (lowering springs shocks and struts) and chassis bracing (strut tower brace and K brace), PP wheels, rear spoiler 9 and 1/2 feet long, and 167 mph top speed. My personal best is 142 mph. It also has way more custom mods that I don’t even have room to list. It is a great ride!

WOULD ALWAYS

HOLD ITS OWN ON THE TRACK.

This is my 1966 Ford Mustang Hi Po coupe nicknamed “The White Knight.” Mods include front disk brakes and a five speed transmission.

My Mustang passion goes way back. When I was just out of high school I worked a summer job and saved my money and bought a 64 Mustang Coupe for $300. I was hooked ever since. To top it off, my dad was a mechanic and taught me how to work on cars. As teens we would race the 1/4 mile and the Mustang would always hold its own on the track.

My 66 Mustang has won many awards even best of class at the PITS show (Ponies in the Smokies, Pigeon Forge).
