“ELVIRA”
2008 FORD MUSTANG

Mustang enthusiasts have asked for a magazine that has no ads, no sales pitches, and no bogus “fillers” to eat up space. They have asked for a magazine that is free, easy to access, and nothing but focused on Mustang pictures and content. They have asked for a magazine produced and written by Mustang owners. They have asked for a magazine that highlights the daily drivers and the average Mustang that is driven and is not a trailer queen. They have asked for the chance to one day have their ride, their group, their club, or their cause to be recognized in print or online. It is our absolute pleasure to meet these standards and to give you STANG Magazine. We hope that both our message and our image will be seen in every Mustang community out there. Thank you Mustang fans and enjoy your ride! -

ELVIRA - 2008 MUSTANG
WHEN LIFE GETS TOUGH, I KNOW I CAN DRIVE ELVIRA TO THE CAR WASH OR GROCERY STORE AND GET A BOOST FROM PEOPLE...
MEMBERS OF THE STANG MAG FAMILY ARE MORE PASSIONATE ABOUT FUN AND INCLUSION THAN THEY ARE THEIR CARS AND THAT SAYS A LOT!
My first Mustang was a 1979 Mustang GHIA, which I bought my senior year of high school. I also met my wife in high school, which I am obligated to say was the best part of school, not the 302 V8 automatic fast little pony! After owning three other Mustangs after the 1979, I was able to purchase my new 2008 base V6 automatic, with only five miles on it (my test drive miles) and I named her Elvira. My base 2008 V6 had more horsepower (210) than my 1979 V8 (140)!
If you asked me if I thought I’d be writing an article for STANG Magazine for my car this time last year I would’ve said no. If you asked me if I would be writing it about a different car than the 2005 Roush Mustang I had I would’ve said hell no. I loved that car but acquiring this one reinvigorated my passion for car shows and events!
I realized the new S197 had a whole aftermarket industry of modifications to acquire. Not only was there practically everything performance-wise you could think of, but also all forms of accessories and decals inside and out. I hit the ground running and have not looked back. I started with a BBK cold air intake that came in chrome with a blue filter. I didn’t plan on any color theme, but I thought it looked fantastic with the black. I have themed all the mods in the engine and throughout with chrome and blue accents. I have added many modifications over the past 16 years.
I have lost both my parents and then my wife suffered a stroke in 2018 and has continuing medical issues from it. When life gets tough, I know I can drive Elvira to the car wash or the grocery store and get a boost from people stopping and asking about her, she is like a mini traveling car show. I enjoy doing small town car shows and talking muscle cars with other enthusiasts. I’ve also really enjoyed the opportunity of being featured in different Mustang magazines.
I have taken Elvira to numerous car shows and have won trophies and awards. I store Elvira every winter, and after 16 years, only have 20,000 miles on it.
I met Daniel Ramey at a Beltway Mustang show and won my spot with STANG Magazine in their Carlisle Ford Nationals display. Needless to say I wasn’t sure what to expect being that I didn’t know the people attending and was going by myself.
Mods include Pypes dual exhaust, Pypes polished shorty headers, BBK cold air intake, SR Throttle Body Spacer, Front
The STANG Mag family welcomed me in from the very start and made me feel like one of their own!
19x8.5 Chrome Bullitt Wheels, Rear 19x10 Chrome Bullitt Wheels, all four on Pirelli P-Zero Nero tires, Bama SCT 93 octane race tune, SR chrome strut tower brace, Screamin Demon Coil Pack, Livewires Spark Plug Wires, ABC Large Hood Scoop, Solarwing Rear Spoiler, Street Scene Gen 2 Rear Spoiler, Raxiom Vector V2 LED Taillights, Speedform Side Scoops, Lambo Style Rear & Side Louvers, and many chrome accessories and decals inside and out.
Members of the STANG Mag family are more passionate about fun and inclusion than they are their cars and that says a lot! I can’t wait to see what’s to come in 2022!
