Mustang enthusiasts have asked for a magazine that has no ads, no sales pitches, and no bogus “fillers” to eat up space. They have asked for a magazine that is free, easy to access, and nothing but focused on Mustang pictures and content. They have asked for a magazine produced and written by Mustang owners. They have asked for a magazine that highlights the daily drivers and the average Mustang that is driven and is not a trailer queen. They have asked for the chance to one day have their ride, their group, their club, or their cause to be recognized in print or online. It is our absolute pleasure to meet these standards and to give you STANG Magazine. We hope that both our message and our image will be seen in every Mustang community out there. Thank you Mustang fans and enjoy your ride!

TALKING WITH TJ

As we begin our journey into the descent of madness that is my mind and the crazy antics of my life, I would like to first introduce myself. My name is TJ, blah blah blah, that sums it up and all you need to know. Whew… got past the CRAP no one cares about! Now for the good stuff.

Mustang culture is one that is very unique and brings together people from all walks of life. One thing is for sure though, the STANG Mag crew isn’t your typical crew. We are a bunch of weirdos, oddballs, and outcasts. We party hard and live by our ride or die motto and have adventures like no other.

From partying in various spots all over the U.S., to touring some of America’s most haunted sites, to having my ass spanked by a beautiful Latina in Las Vegas in front of a restaurant packed full of guests (and owning it), it’s never a dull moment! All I can say is... strap in, rev the shit out of your motor, and let’s go!

EDGAR ALLAN POE

Edgar Allan Poe, the king of gothic horror novel! So, you know this adventure is going to kick ass. The start of this adventure was at Edgar Allan Poe’s gravesite. His fleshly corpse was buried at Westminster Hall and Burying Ground, located in Baltimore, Maryland.

The funny part of this was when we first came out of the car to see the grave, we saw a huge ass raven, kaw kawing at us. This was a huge super raven, similar to the size of New York’s sewer rats, and if you know what I am talking about then you know, this bird was freakishly huge. Even a local walking her dog, hurried up and picked up her dog and hid under a tree, screaming “where is it, where is it, do you see it?”

The grave was very cool with an engraved metal bust of Poe’s head on one of the sides of the tombstone. You could definitely feel the erieness of the graveyard. In fact, one spot there was a cold spot, which was weird, since it was in the middle of summer. The cemetery opened in 1787 by the First Presbyterian Church

of Baltimore. You can literally feel the history here and imagine all the people who have passed through these cemetery gates.

& MODEL INFO

The highlight of this tour was The Horse You Came In On Saloon, was the very same saloon that Edgar used to frequent. It was opened in 1775 at Fells Point, in Maryland. According to the Horse, as it’s called by the locals, this was the last place Edgar was seen before his delirium set in and his sudden death.

If you are ever in Baltimore, Maryland, you got to check out these spots and just feel the history.

For the record, if you dig around a bit at the cemetery, there is the main tombstone dedicated to Edgar Allan Poe, but around the back side of the church courtyard, is his actual tombstone hidden amongst the other long term residents. We randomly found it walking around and solved the mystery like Scooby Doo.

The cool thing about this place was at the bar there are saddles that you sit in to drink your poison. I might say that although kind of awkward, the saddles were actually comfortable.

My name is Johnathan Hart. I have been around cars basically my whole entire life. Cars for me have always been a passion, it’s also my therapy. If you have a bad day, get in your car and just go drive. Listen to your favorite tune and hear your exhaust with your window down with its nice smooth tone. That is a recipe for perfect relaxation. Please follow me on my Instagram to watch the transformation of my car: 4.6hotwheel.

My car has came a long way from when I first got it. The reason I built it the way I did is because I wanted to do something unique with it. Instead of the basic Mustangs that add the same mods to it, I wanted to give it more of a racecar look with the wing, but keep it old school as much as I can with the pin striping. My favorite part of how it turned out is the reaction the kids give it. Every time you see my car, you think of a life size scale Hot Wheels. And seeing the kids smile and look at the car makes my day 1000 times better! Pictures can’t

Mods include cold air intake, engine covers, new wheels from American Muscle, Boyd Racing spoiler, back panel, 2013 tail light mods for 07 Mustang, Flowmaster exhaust, lowered suspension, new shocks, new brakes with covers, Mustang wheel knockoffs, chrome grille, new headlights, yellow fog lights, repainted to its original color (Vista Blue), and custom pin striped. We had the GT/CS stripe removed because of it being damaged and then pin striped a custom one on it. No work done on the interior yet besides a touch screen radio, LED footwells, and LED dashboard.

THE MINUTE I SET EYES ON HER I KNEW SHE WAS THE ONE...

MEMBERS OF THE STANG MAG FAMILY ARE MORE PASSIONATE ABOUT FUN AND INCLUSION THAN THEY ARE THEIR CARS AND THAT SAYS A LOT!

My name is Michele Galea and I am the proud owner of CHERRY BOMB, she is not my first Mustang. After the loss of my husband in 2018 to cancer I found myself at a place in my life where I was asking myself “Well where to from here ?” I decided to update my car and wanted the power of a V8 and the looks to go with it. It was an easy decision and it had to be an American Muscle Car. I went out and bought myself a 2017 GT and there my Mustang life began.

If you asked me if I thought I’d be writing an article for STANG Magazine for my car this time last year I would’ve said no. If you asked me if I would be writing it about a different car than the 2005 Roush Mustang I had I would’ve said hell no. I loved that car but acquiring this one reinvigorated my passion for car shows and events!

About three months later I wanted to buy another Mustang but this time a 1965 Convertible to match the year I was born, with two important things she had to be RHD and had to be red. I found the one I was looking for online and went to have a look. The minute I set eyes on her I knew she was the one for me. Nick the owner imported her from the states in the 80s and took her back to bare metal and did a total rebuild. He added aircon, a rally pack, and dropped a 302 into her.

Nick was moving back over to his homeland in Italy and that was the only reason he was selling. I picked her up a week later and my stable was complete. I have met some amazing people in the last couple of years and will enjoy cruising with the top down for many years to come.

I met Daniel Ramey at a Beltway Mustang show and won my spot with STANG Magazine in their Carlisle Ford Nationals display. Needless to say I wasn’t sure what to expect being that I didn’t know the people attending and was going by myself.

I met Daniel Ramey at a Beltway Mustang show and won my spot with STANG Magazine in their Carlisle Ford Nationals display. Needless to say I wasn’t sure what to expect being that I didn’t know the people attending and was going by myself.

I purchased this Mustang when my wife and I separated after 20 years. This was my first Mustang purchase and I wanted a 2000 as that’s the year my stepson was born.

I purchased this Mustang 2.5 years ago completely stock. With the help of American Muscle and YouTube, I had a ton of fun over the last few years modifying it into my own vision. Some things include lowering springs, 3.73 rear end, new rotors, calipers, pads, caliper covers all around. New exhaust Super Series 44, light bar, new rims/tires, wrapped the hood, fender stripes, hood scoop, floor mats, engine strut support, camber plates, cold air intake, throttle body and plenum, alternator, intake manifold, fuel injectors, spark plugs, chrome

knobs in the interior, plasti dip red interior parts, Sony apple car play unit, new dash mount, new speakers front and back, sub woofer, chrome engine caps, and so on! It has been a fun few years and joining the United Mustangs of Ontario group and I have made new family. We go on cruises pretty much every weekend. It’s been a whole new experience and I have loved every bit of it!

The 1993 R is 1 of 107 made. All of the production cars were Vibrant Red 5 speeds with comfort items removed from the factory. Every 93 R had crank windows, grey cloth lx seats, no radio or speakers, no a/c or heat, no sound deadening, no fog lights, and no rear seat. 1993 was the last year of the Foxbody Mustang and the Cobra was designed to send it out in style. The 93 Cobra R was the factory race version of the limited production Cobra. The R model had some unique features on top of the missing amenities you’d find on a regular Mustang or Cobra. The added features included a strut tower brace, suffrage connectors, stiff Eibach springs, Koni adjustable shocks and struts, 13” vented rotors on front and 10.5” rear, unique radiator, ported tank and power steering and engine oil cooler. The 1993 Cobra R was the most expensive Mustang offered that year and it came with no amenities and a competition license was required in order to purchase. That didn’t stop collectors and enthusiasts alike from buying these very limited cars. The day these cars were

The 2000 Cobra R stands out with its over the top styling. Ford made 300 of the 2000 R and once again they limited purchases to those with a valid competition license. Ford did not offer regular Cobra in 2000, only the R model. Like previous R models the 2000 came without any comfort features. The only color available was Performance Red and this car came with an exceptional list of performance features, more than any of the two R models before it. The 2000 Cobra R came with a 5.4L DOHC engine, a Tremec T-56 6 speed transmission, 13” Brembo vented disc brakes on front, heavy duty Eibach shocks and springs, Hydro-mechanical limited slip differential, special domed shape hood (for engine clearance), Borla side exit exhaust, unique rear wing, 18” 5 spoke wheels, front splitter (removable), tinted front headlights, B&N ripper shifter, and McLeod aluminum flywheel.

I loved that car but acquiring this one reinvigorated my passion for car shows and events!

My passion for the love of a Mustang started with some of my childhood films that I watched. Once I got to a place in life where I was ready to build my very own Mustang, I really jumped into it. But I didn’t know what year to build. After watching the film Need for Speed, plus the story behind Carroll Shelby building the last Mustang before passing away, I then knew what body style that I wanted to build and make it my own. Yes it’s not a Shelby, but it is one of the baddest body styles there is. I still have a lot of work that I want to do and I will get there with some time.

In about two years time, I have made a lot of progress to make my dreams of building what I think is one of the coolest Mustangs around. I wanted something that kids would love to see going down the road, hoping for something like that when they get older. The Hulkster started while hanging with the family and then I decided to go with it. My family and I have enjoyed the build. The love of my wife and for her not making me sleep in the dog house for the amount of time and money spent on the build, was just amazing. With the support of her and my kids, what is in front of you now, the

progress would not have happen without that. This is just the start and I will build my Shelby next.

My love for Mustangs started with the purchase of a teal 95 convertible GT. Along the way my wife developed a passion towards Mustangs and decided to pursue her dreams of owning her dream car. Which lead us to acquiring a modified 2007 GT/CS. The wife began to taunt me as her pony was much faster than mine.

One day I stumbled across my dream car a 2002 red Saleen Mustang. My intent wasn’t in purchasing her but wanted to take her for a test drive. Upon returning from that magical ride, I fell in love and had to have her. So now we are proud owners of three beautiful Mustangs!

My Saleen production number is 622 for 2002. She is 1 of 4 made with this color and equipment. The car lived in Hawaii until a gentleman in the service had sent it state side to Indiana.

The Saleen Mustang got upgraded with a supercharger, Speedster package, Baer brakes, Race Craft suspension, and upgraded 18 x 10 rear wheels.

I’ve always loved Mustangs. Growing up in the ’80s, all the cool guys in the movies had the Foxbody 5.0 convertible. But it was when we went to the NY Auto Show in high school, and I got a first glimpse of the 1996 Saleen Mustang with the Mystichrome paint, that’s when I wanted one. From a young age I knew I wanted a Mustang. In 2008, I finally got one, a 2004 Redfire GT. She was stock but not for long. That first week I tinted the tail lights and installed an intake. I was in love. Over the years I continued to modify the 4.6 that originally came with the car.

A couple of years ago I was bitten by the Coyote bug and wanted to do the swap. I had a Roadrunner engine fall into my lap and quickly put together plans to complete the swap. I completely rebuilt the engine from the ground up and add-

This is my 2021 Mustang Mach 1 M2047. I have been a Mustang fan for many years. I purchased my first in 2005, a Black GT. I loved that car. Since then I’ve owned a 2012 Lava Red GT, a 2015 Saleen White Label Black GT, a 2003 Yellow Mach 1, and a 2017 Gray with Black stripes Shelby GT350.

I am looking to mod my current Mach 1 with a new Mcleod clutch and aluminum fly wheel, Ford Performance supercharger, more suspension from BMR, and an aluminum drive shaft.

Current list of mods include 5% window tint on the sides and rear quarter windows and 35% on windshield, Steeda H pipe, BMR front and back sway bars, BMR K member, BMR subframe connector, BMR jacking rails, JLT cold air with tune, Stop Tech drilled and slotted rotors, Diode Dynamics LED interior lights, MWR short shifter, and Ford Performance White shift knob.

I present my 2021 Mustang GT Premium with a 10r80 transmission, black accent package, and digital cluster. Since I was a kid I have grown a passion for cars. Having a father and uncles with Corvettes, Camaros and Mustangs helped me develop this passion for muscle cars. I remember being a kid riding with my Dad in his 1969 Corvette Stingray or in his 1979 Camaro. I remember watching my uncle every time he arrived to my grandma’s house do a burnout in his 1984 red Mustang GT and that was the reason why I always wanted to have a Mustang in the first place. After several years of trying to acquire one or postponing due to priorities, in 2021 I was able to put my hands on one of them brand new and I love it. Right now I am the owner of a SN95 (restoring), this S550, and a 2021 Dodge Challenger RT.

Mustang provides, even when it has a small V8 engine (5.0L vs 5.7L - 6.OL - 6.2L and 6.4L) when compared to the others, still manages to be superior, overtaking even some exotic cars. That makes the Mustang the best muscle car to have for its price. And that is the reason why we call ours “The Underdog.”

WHITE WONDER –2014 SHELBY

MEMBERS OF THE STANG MAG FAMILY ARE MORE PASSIONATE ABOUT FUN AND INCLUSION THAN THEY ARE THEIR CARS AND THAT SAYS A LOT!

I met Daniel Ramey at a Beltway Mustang show and won my spot with STANG Magazine in their Carlisle Ford Nationals display. Needless to say I wasn’t sure what to expect being that I didn’t know the people attending and was going by myself.

The STANG Mag family welcomed me in from the very start and made me feel like one of their own!

THE SHELBY WAS A RETIREMENT GIFT TO MYSELF AFTER SERVING 39 YEARS IN THE MILITARY.

This is my 2014 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500. I’ve nicknamed my car the White Wonder after the song Bad to the Bone by George Thorogood.

This is my sixth Mustang and my first Shelby GT500 that I’ve owned in my life. I’ve owned three Foxbodys, a 2002 Mustang GT, a 2012 Mustang GT, and now my 2014 Mustang Shelby GT500.

I’ve been fascinated by muscle cars since my early teens and have always loved working on cars. This helped me pick my career as a Jet Engine Mechanic in the Air National Guard (USAF). The Shelby was a retirement gift to myself after serving 39 years in the military.

My current mods are Ford Performance High Flow Air Filter, JLT induction Kit, Borla ATAC mufflers, and passenger side J&L oil separator.

Members of the STANG Mag family are more passionate about fun and inclusion than they are their cars and that says a lot! I can’t wait to see what’s to come in 2022!

JUST THE TIP

IT’S JUST A BOX

Found this one interesting – Jump boxes. OK so you’re scratching your head asking “Jump” boxes? What’s that about?

I personally had two interactions very recently where friends/family had a dead battery. I mean who hasn’t? Both had a Jump box, but neither knew what to do with it. A Jump box is essentially another battery for your car.

It’s a battery that has cables coming off of it that look like one end of a set of jumper cables. Very easy process.

Simply hook the Jump box up to your car’s battery as if you had another car with you and hooking up jumper cables from their battery to your battery. The Jump box just replaces the other car with what is essentially – another car battery.

And nothing special required to recharge them. If you have a Jump box, it came with a plug that will plug into a

standard wall outlet. Nothing fancy about it.

If you do not have a Jump box, it may be something to look into, as you never know when a battery might die out on you. So keeping one in the trunk is just an added layer of confidence.

Now should you replace your jumper cables with a Jump Box? Because of their convenience and increased safety, jump starters/boxed have gradually replaced jumper wires. Unlike jumper cables, jump starters do not require additional electricity.

They’re more convenient since you can take and use

them everywhere, even in the vehicle. They are easier to store, less cumbersome, and definitely less confusing to use.

In our opinion, invest in a Jump Box. They make a bunch of different designs, sizes, and features. Some even have built in lights, air pumps, and other useful items during a break down.

IN THE “HEADLIGHTS“

STANG MAGAZINE HAS PUBLISHED MILITARY TRIBUTE BOOKS CALLED TWISTED BOMBSHELL...

If you didn’t know and have not been following along with STANG Magazine in the past two years, you have really been missing out. Not only have we converted to a 501c3 nonprofit giving back to our car enthusiast community, the military, and law enforcement, but we have been launching new projects left and right. A few years back we launched Locked & Loaded Magazine which added more to our pages than just Mustangs. The following year we launched STANG Paranormal because we are crazy and like to go ghost hunting all across the country. Last year, we launched our newest project called “Twisted Bombshell”, focusing completely on our military and our military history.

While getting ready for an event at the Battleship New Jersey, we started to talk about having themed events and honoring our family members who served in the military. We started to research uniforms, family histories, and prized possessions that were passed down through the generations. To make a long story short, out of all of our research, our first Twisted Bombshell book was published and it was a tribute to the 2487th Quartermaster Truck Company (Aviation). They were part of the enormous invasion that landed in Normandy and helped to end World War II.

The best part of those months of endless nights and research... we were able to present the first printed copy to the ONLY surviving member of the 2487th Quartermaster Truck Company (Aviation). How cool is that?!?

Since then, STANG Magazine has published two other Twisted Bombshell books. The second was released and

presented to Richard Deverter who the book was about and who served with the 49th Armored Infantry Battalion. One of our STANG staff, Rob Villeaume, would visit Mr. Deverter and his wife of 74 years, weekly for the past year at their nursing home and reflect upon his military service. Mr. Deverter earned a Bronze Star but was never given one in person due to it being lost in the sauce somewhere along the way. On September 26th, Rob gave Mr. Deverter and his wife a copy of the Twisted Bombshell book that was written about him. Two days later on September 28th, Rob presented Mr. Deverter with his Bronze Star. Upon receiving his Bronze Star, Mr. Deverter took his last breathe and passed away peacefully with his wife and Rob by his side.

LOCKED & LOADED

LOWDOWN

GSG-5 - GERMAN SPORT GUNS

SHE IS AN ABSOLUTE BLAST AND ONE HELL OF A FUN GUN!

What’s up people! Welcome to Locked & Loaded Lowdown where we focus on some of the best firearms and “toys” on the market. As many of you auto enthusiasts know, you have to protect yourself and your property so here at STANG Magazine, we decided to merge our publications all into one, giving you a taste of the best of both worlds. Now, let’s get the LOWDOWN on this badass toy, the German Sport Guns (GSG)-5.

The sick ass little “plinkster” that you see here is a GSG-5, custom modified, and one hell of a fun gun. The GSG-5 is a semi-automatic rimfire rifle chambered for the .22 long rifle cartridge. This rifle externally resembles the Heckler & Koch MP5 style submachine gun.

This particular GSG-5 is equipped with a Sightmark Sureshot Reflex holographic sight with four reticle patterns, retractable stock, tri-rail guard with UTG hand guard covers, 22-round magazines with dual magazine clamps, non slip handle grip, and tactical sling. She is blacked out, maxed out, and always ready to rock and roll.

The GSG-5 utilizes the H&K style drum sight that is adjustable for windage. German Sports Guns provides a weaver rail attachment that slides onto the top of the frame, allowing

other sighting systems to be added. This baby feels 100% awesome in your hands and looks menacing sitting on the shelf when your neighbors decide to come over to borrow some sugar. Even though it is a .22, this gun is quick to unload 20+ rounds in a heartbeat. She is an absolute blast and one hell of a fun gun!

SALUTE TO OUR MILITARY

CADEN RAMEY

UNITED STATES AIR FORCE - SECURITY FORCES

IT IS MY HONOR TO SERVE MY COUNTRY AND TO MAKE MY FAMILY PROUD.

My name is Caden Ramey. I am Security Forces in the United States Air Force.

I enlisted in the Air Force for two reasons.

The first of which being my great grandfather, Paul Guiton, who served in the Army Air Force. The second reason being that my uncle, SSgt Andrew Stevens who served in the Marines, did not get to finish his service commitment as he lost his life in a tragic car accident.

Since shipping off to Basic Training, I’ve spent time at Lackland AFB in Texas, Misawa Air Base in Japan, and Osan Air Base in South Korea.

Since enlisting, I’ve grown accustomed to being away from home. I enjoy learning about the various cultures, the friendships I’ve made so far, and lastly, I enjoy learning more about myself along the way.

It is my honor to serve my country and to make my family proud. I am honored to walk in the same footsteps as my great grandfather and my uncle, but just on a different path in the military.
