Mustang enthusiasts have asked for a magazine that has no ads, no sales pitches, and no bogus “fillers” to eat up space. They have asked for a magazine that is free, easy to access, and nothing but focused on Mustang pictures and content. They have asked for a magazine produced and written by Mustang owners. They have asked for a magazine that highlights the daily drivers and the average Mustang that is driven and is not a trailer queen. They have asked for the chance to one day have their ride, their group, their club, or their cause to be recognized in print or online. It is our absolute pleasure to meet these standards and to give you STANG Magazine. We hope that both our message and our image will be seen in every Mustang community out there. JEREMIE STEBBINS DRAGON –2020 MUSTANG GT THE FIRST WEEK I HAD IT, THE FRONT END WAS ON MY DRIVEWAY AND MY WIFE THOUGHT I WAS NUTS.

My Mustang is a 2020 GT. I never really had a nickname. My friends call it “The Fire Breathing Dragon” because it is loud and the GT500 hood and the louvers look like dragon scales.

The mods list is big. But for the most part it is equipped with a Whipple 3.0 supercharger, Kooks headers with green cats, Borla Attack exhaust, built 10R80 trans with McLeod clutches, Circle D convertor, Raptor valve body, carbon fiber drive shaft, built suspension with Outlaw axles, cambers and Eibach lowering springs.

If you asked me if I thought I’d be writing an article for STANG Magazine for my car this time last year I would’ve said no. If you asked me if I would be writing it about a different car than the 2005 Roush Mustang I had I would’ve said hell no. I loved that car but acquiring this one reinvigorated my passion for car shows and events!

I have loved Mustangs my entire life. My dream car is “Eleneor” from the Gone In 60 Seconds movie. My first Mustang was a 2018 Ecoboost which I did a lot of bolt ons and a tune and had it to almost 450 whp. Then I traded it in and picked up this gorgeous GT. The first week I had it, the front end was on my driveway and my wife thought I was nuts.

From there I have had most of the engine professionally done from a great guy in Delaware. His name is Chuck W., and if you know him, he is the Mustang king. I now take this baby out as a cruiser with my wife from NY up to Maine and NH and down to PA. But I also go rogue on weekends. I change to some Hoosier slicks and race it at Lebanon Valley Drag Track. I always wanted to have a 10 second car. As of now I’m running 10.31 @ 131mph in the 1/4 mile. I need more runs and

expierence. The car still has an enjoyable interior with heated and cooled seats, seat delete with two 12” kickers and a 1600 watt amp. It is such a blast to run at the track or go for great rides with my wife Carly.

If you asked me if I thought I’d be writing an article for STANG Magazine for my car this time last year I would’ve said no. If you asked me if I would be writing it about a different car than the 2005 Roush Mustang I had I would’ve said hell no. I loved that car but acquiring this one reinvigorated my passion for car shows and events!

This is my 1965 Coyote Mustang. You can find it on IG and FB as The 1965 Coyote. It was built back in 2011 with a Gen 1 Coyote. It is family built. It was also featured on Fordmuscle. com last year.

The 1965 Coyote Mustang has too many mods to list. It has a push button shifter, triangulated 4 link rear suspension, heat/ ac, power steering, power brakes, and custom paint. It took two years to build and it also has a custom interior.

We live in Murrells Inlet and attend most of the bigger events going on around here. The car has won countless awards including awards at Run to the Sun, The GoodGuys National shows, Mustang Week, Mustang Fest, etc...

THERE IS NOTHING SWEETER THAN THE SOUND OF AN AMERICAN MUSCLE V8 ENGINE.

My name is Jessica O’Dowd and this is my 2016 Mustang GT Premium. I have been a Mustang fan all of my life and there is nothing sweeter than the sound of an American muscle V8 engine.

Current mods include a BBK cold air intake, MBRP exhaust, and custom striping.

This 2016 Mustang GT is by far the best car I have ever had to date. Her name is Lizzy.

I HAVE BEEN A FAN OF MUSTANGS ALMOST ALL OF MY LIFE...

My name is Alan Hicks and this is my 1971 Mustang Mach 1.

This car was purchased by my dad in 1973 and driven as our family car up until 1980. It was parked when he bought a new Z28 that year. The car sat beside our house until 1990 when it was transfered to me.

I loved that car but acquiring this one reinvigorated my passion for car shows and events!

I restored the car in 2014 and have primarily used it for car shows since then, but it does get driven a bit on the backroads. I have been a fan of Mustangs almost all of my life and I am currently restoring a 1969 Mach 1.

This Mach 1 is equipped with a 351 Cleveland equipped with Crane cam and Hooker headers, 4 speed transmission, 9 inch 4:00 positrac rear end, American Racing wheels, functional ram air hood, and Black/Argent basecoat-clearcoat paint.

SHE IS A 1985 FORD MUSTANG SVO THAT’S BEEN TURNED INTO A MAD MAX REPLICA...

This is Maxine. She is a 1985 Ford Mustang SVO that’s been turned into a Mad Max replica without the ugly roof scoop. There are two exhaust systems under this Fox, allowing it to run side pipes and with a flick of the switch, factory style dual exhaust. It is great, especially for those cold starts in the neighborhood.

I loved that car but acquiring this one reinvigorated my passion for car shows and events!

Under the hood we tossed the 2.3 liter turbo and stuffed a 1990 302, .030 over GT40 heads, 1.7 rockers, shorty headers, S belt style, and like the movie, we drilled and tapped an AC compressor so the blower can be turned on with a switch mounted on the shifter. The front end was built completely custom by me.

Just looking at photos I came up with the design. It is half steel and half urethane plastic. I did custom gauges and panels inside. The custom Matte Black paint looks the part. It was a fun build and gets a lot of looks. Like any project, she is still not 100 percent finished yet.

Not every day can you say that a Shelby drives a Shelby. Racing and cars have always been in my DNA. During my childhood, my dad and I watched Nascar during racing season. I was also named after the Shelby car, and I wear that badge with honor.

The Mustang is such an iconic car for the American people. The Mustang has such a definite sound that anyone can pick it out of a crowd, but not everyone can recognize the differences in each Mustang and just how different each of their engines are. Each Mustang is its own car. I owned a V6 2014 Mustang and it was a thrill to drive. Owning a Mustang is like owning a piece of history.

My dream car is a 1967 Shelby GT 500, blue with white stripes or the iconic Eleanor from “Gone in 60 Seconds”. I never thought owning this car was possible until my wonderful husband found this at a dealership for a steal.

She has changed our lives and our trajectory in so many ways. We have taken her drag strip racing and roll racing. I have shocked and continue to shock people in my driving ability and being able to handle this beast of a car.

Current mods include Jokers ported stock blower, Kong 108mm throttle body, JLT CAI, VMP race Intercooler, VMP

apex performance predator lid, Injector Dynamics ID1300x 1340cc fuel injectors, E85, Lund tuned, Nitrous Outlet kit, and Weld Belmont beadlock 18” rear drag pack and 20 x 5 front.

SUGAR BABY - 2008 SHELBY GT500

THEY HAD A CAR THEY THOUGHT COULD BREAK THE CLASS RECORD.

I’m a sucker for a car with a story and this is a good one. Back in 2008 the Ray family in Victoria, TX bought a red with white striped 2008 Shelby GT500. In the span of six years, they worked on, broke, fixed, upgraded, and modified until, after several trips to Beeville, TX (the home of the Texas Mile), they had a car they thought could break the class record.

In October of 2014, the father and son team tried once again to set the record. It was a Saturday and the weather was favorable when Tye Ray made his third attempt of the weekend. The results, a trap speed of 204.6 mph. Not the record but good enough to join the 200* club.

The first pass the following day hurt the engine and ended the chase. Rye’s dad would develop health issues and the quest ended. The car was sold to a neighbor a couple of years later and was then bought by Chris Dopson from Lousiania before I bought the car from him. The engine has been brought back to life with some dedicated work from Y2 Racing in TX, Venemous Tuning in FL, along with some much needed updates. It’s still an all original car to include the factory interior with the exception of the roll cage

My plans? This October will be 10 years since the Sugar Baby Racing GT500 last made a pass at the Texas Mile. I intend to take the car back and try to match or beat its previous record. If not, I will try and make a good showing as a tribute to the Ray family. They did all the work. I’m just the caretaker of the car and it’s history.

SYLVIA –1984 MUSTANG GT SYLVIA WAS MY FIRST EVER MUSTANG.

This is my 1984 Mustang GT Convertible which I’ve owned since 2012. It is a former Ford Executive car. I purchased my 1984 Mustang GT convertible, named Sylvia, in Aug of 2012. I bought her on eBay from a local person for $3200 and as it turned out, I was the fourth owner. Sylvia was my first ever Mustang. My kids had graduated from college and I was looking for a fun convertible to drive. When I made the purchase, she was basically a rust free stock car that needed a new top and both interior and engine refreshing. She had 118,000 miles on her. It was only after I purchased a Marti report did I find out that she was originally a Ford Executive car and never went through a dealership.

Fast forward to today and she looks dramatically different from when I first bought her. The interior and engine bay have been refreshed. She has a new cloth top and she now sports SVO lumbar seats which have been reupholstered to match the rest of the interior. Safety improvements are subframe connectors, strut tower brace, and a K member brace. The original automatic transmission has been rebuilt and she now has a a new 306 roller cam engine. Being an 84, she came with a CFI fuel injection system which still runs flawlessly. She has had some paint work done and the body currently has 140,000 miles on it. She has won numerous awards at car shows including a Gold at the Mustang Car Club of America
