Mustang enthusiasts have asked for a magazine that has no ads, no sales pitches, and no bogus “fillers” to eat up space. They have asked for a magazine that is free, easy to access, and nothing but focused on Mustang pictures and content. They have asked for a magazine produced and written by Mustang owners. They have asked for a magazine that highlights the daily drivers and the average Mustang that is driven and is not a trailer queen. They have asked for the chance to one day have their ride, their group, their club, or their cause to be recognized in print or online. It is our absolute pleasure to meet these standards and to give you STANG Magazine. We hope that both our message and our image will be seen in every Mustang community out there. I met Daniel Ramey at a Beltway Mustang show and won my spot with STANG Magazine in their Carlisle Ford Nationals display. Needless to say I wasn’t sure what to expect being that I didn’t know the people attending and was going by myself.

The STANG Mag family welcomed me in from the very start and made me feel like one of their own!

Members of the STANG Mag family are more passionate about fun and inclusion than they are their cars and that says a lot! I can’t wait to see what’s to come in 2022!

I FELL IN LOVE WITH THE SN95 AFTER THAT CAR...

My passion for Mustangs began as a kid when my cool aunt had a 96 GT with no cats and that sparked my passion. From then on, I knew I wanted a Mustang. My first Mustang started with a junkyard 98 GT with 280k miles and the oil burning/leaking. Basically junk that I welded the diff on and drifted until I killed it.

If you asked me if I thought I’d be writing an article for STANG Magazine for my car this time last year I would’ve said no. If you asked me if I would be writing it about a different car than the 2005 Roush Mustang I had I would’ve said hell no. I loved that car but acquiring this one reinvigorated my passion for car shows and events!

I fell in love with the SN95 after that car and from then on due to its affordability for a young E4 in the Navy, not to mention due to the ease of work and availability of parts.

Fast Forward to today with my current 98 GT, it is a car that I plan to keep in my family for generations.

Visiting the USS Intrepid in New York City has been on my bucket list since forever. If you love Mustangs, you love anything that has power and can deliver a punch. There is nothing like an aircraft carrier loaded with its own arsenal of jets, helicopters, and United States military history. So once I had my mind set and I found a cool bus service to deliver us there safely and back, it was a no brainer that I called up the rest of the STANG Magazine crew and got all of our tickets squared away for a day out in the city and the harbor.

We set off early in the morning and before we knew it, we were getting dropped off in Hell’s Kitchen to walk literally one block to the USS Intrepid. This thing is MASSIVE! Literally feeling like its own city floating in the harbor, it took us a good couple of hours to tour the ship and the property.

So what is the brief history of the USS Intrepid you might ask? Well in a nutshell, the USS Intrepid is one of 24 Essex-class aircraft carriers built during World War II for the United States Navy. She is the fourth US Navy ship to bear the name. Commissioned in August 1943, Intrepid participated in several campaigns in the Pacific Theater of Operations, including the Battle of Leyte Gulf.

Decommissioned for the second time in 1974, she was put into service as a museum ship in 1982 as the foundation of the Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum Complex in New York City.

After touring the ship, we found an awesome Irish pub in Hell’s Kitchen and threw back a few pints in honor of all of those who served on her deck before heading back to PA to conclude an awesome day. By far, this floating piece of history is a must see and a sight to see in person!
