CODE ORANGE - 2022 SHELBY GT500 CFTP

MEMBERS OF THE STANG MAG FAMILY ARE MORE PASSIONATE ABOUT FUN AND INCLUSION THAN THEY ARE THEIR CARS AND THAT SAYS A LOT!

PRIOR TO OWNING THIS CAR I WAS ALWAYS A 2004 MUSTANG COBRA GUY.

I met Daniel Ramey at a Beltway Mustang show and won my spot with STANG Magazine in their Carlisle Ford Nationals display. Needless to say I wasn’t sure what to expect being that I didn’t know the people attending and was going by myself.

This is my 2022 Code Orange Shelby GT500 Carbon Fiber Track Pack, Chassis # N0726. Build date is 5/27/22. It is a 5.2L supercharged V8 with Tremec 7-speed dual clutch, making 760hp/625tq. I purchased it brand new off the show room at Tiffin Ford on 7/22/22. Prior to owning this car I was always a 2004 Mustang Cobra guy. I owned three of them - a Mystichrome and two Competition Orange ones. My father actually has my old Comp Orange Terminator, I like to think we have the perfect father and son combo!

After purchasing this GT500 CFTP I wanted to put my little touch on it. So far I have added a set of carbon fiber coil covers, JLT cold air intake, Borla atak catback exhaust, Shelby aluminum coolant tank, Shelby aluminum fuse box cover, Shelby aluminum caps throughout the engine bay, Steeda jacking rails, custom trunk mat, Bemaro films, JLT rock guards and JLT engine cover. I also had this car completely coated with lifetime ceramicpro. The interior is equipped with Recaro seats and being a track pack it comes with a rear seat delete but I added a rear seat from Ford for my daughters to be able to enjoy it with me as well. The car also has the technology package as well as the optioned painted black roof. This will be a very low production color combo since Code Orange was only offered on the 2022 GT500. In the future I may put a smaller griptec pulley on the car or maybe even a Whipple supercharger!

If you asked me if I thought I’d be writing an article for STANG Magazine for my car this time last year I would’ve said no. If you asked me if I would be writing it about a different car than the 2005 Roush Mustang I had I would’ve said hell no. I loved that car but acquiring this one reinvigorated my passion for car shows and events!

Stay tuned!

The STANG Mag family welcomed me in from the very start and made me feel like one of their own!

Members of the STANG Mag family are more passionate about fun and inclusion than they are their cars and that says a lot! I can’t wait to see what’s to come in
