JLO’S MACH - 2004 MACH 1
MEMBERS OF THE STANG MAG FAMILY ARE MORE PASSIONATE ABOUT FUN AND INCLUSION THAN THEY ARE THEIR CARS AND THAT SAYS A LOT!
My Mustang passion began when I sat in a 2004 DSG Mach 1 at a Chevy dealership. The salesman handed me the keys as I sat in the driver’s seat in awe. I turned the key, and the shaker shook as it started. I was excited like a little girl getting her first puppy I wanted this car; I had to have this car. So, my husband and I brought it home.
If you asked me if I thought I’d be writing an article for STANG Magazine for my car this time last year I would’ve said no. If you asked me if I would be writing it about a different car than the 2005 Roush Mustang I had I would’ve said hell no. I loved that car but acquiring this one reinvigorated my passion for car shows and events!
When I get in the Mach, I still have those same happy feelings that I did when I sat in the DSG Mach at that dealership so long ago. Being able to drive the Mach is happiness, not only for the heart, but the soul too.
Currently in our stable, I have my 2004 Competition Orange Mach 1, and a 2020 GT PP1. The Mach is a member of The Competition Orange Mustang Registry.
Mods on the Mach were done by the previous owner. He had the Mach set up for the track because he loved going. The Mach is retired from the track, and now has the life of car shows and cruise-ins.
Here’s what he has on it. It has a catted MRT H pipe, Violator mufflers, C&L CAI tube, PHP spacer, UPR upper/lower control arms, aluminum driveshaft, Auburn posi, Moser 31 spline axles, Richmond 410 ring and pinion, and Diablo tune.
I met Daniel Ramey at a Beltway Mustang show and won my spot with STANG Magazine in their Carlisle Ford Nationals display. Needless to say I wasn’t sure what to expect being that I didn’t know the people attending and was going by myself.
The STANG Mag family welcomed me in from the very start and made me feel like one of their own!
Members of the STANG Mag family are more passionate about fun and inclusion than they are their cars and that says a lot! I can’t wait to see what’s to come in
