Mustang enthusiasts have asked for a magazine that has no ads, no sales pitches, and no bogus “fillers” to eat up space. They have asked for a magazine that is free, easy to access, and nothing but focused on Mustang pictures and content. They have asked for a magazine produced and written by Mustang owners. They have asked for a magazine that highlights the daily drivers and the average Mustang that is driven and is not a trailer queen. They have asked for the chance to one day have their ride, their group, their club, or their cause to be recognized in print or online. It is our absolute pleasure to meet these standards and to give you STANG Magazine. We hope that both our message and our image will be seen in every Mustang community out there. I AM A LICENSED WHEEL TO WHEEL RACER...

Couples that race together stay together, though my passion for Mustangs started long before the racing. I grew up around Mustangs and muscle cars thanks in part to my mechanic father who I watched restore his own 1973 Mustang convertible. I bought my very first Mustang about 12 years ago and it ignited a passion for these cars with both my husband and I. Though, it wasn’t until the purchase of my 2016 Shelby GT350 that we caught the “track bug”.

We made it out on the track about six years ago and haven’t looked back. The exhilaration I get from being out on that asphalt is like no other. After purchasing dedicated track cars, I learned to truly “drive” and decided that I wanted to pursue a competitive racing license. Fast forward to today, I am a licensed wheel to wheel racer with NASA Mid-Atlantic and compete in the Camaro Mustang Challenge. Bob has treated me well through many grueling days of competition school, racing, and some fun track days too. My husband Brian, licensed racer as well, competes in American Iron with his 2013 Boss 302. Together, we formed Live Fast Racing - a performance parts supplier and race team. I’ve also obtained my instructor certification to hopefully encourage other women out there to pursue their track dreams. When I’m not at the track, I’m out in my Shelby GT350 supporting local causes, hosting all ladies meets through my group Girls & Gasoline, and spending time fixing all the things we break on the race cars! So if you are ever at the track and see Bob and I, stop by and say hello!

WE NICKNAMED IT CREAMSICLE.

Hello STANG fans! We have a 2019 Orange Fury GT Convertible Premium Mustang with a Black Package and a 10 speed automatic Coyote 460 hp engine. It is equipped with a B&O sound system and we nicknamed it Creamsicle. We have also added caliper covers custom painted in Orange Fury and seatbelt covers with a Coyote and 5.0, hood struts, oil separator, and a few engine covers. Other than that, we have basically kept it stock.

I loved that car but acquiring this one reinvigorated my passion for car shows and events!

We have a 1995 Laser Red GT 5.0 5 speed and do trips with the Greater Pittsburgh Mustang Club. We decided that we wanted a newer Mustang that would be more comfortable to drive backroads and hills but with the Mustang vibe. We started looking and found one at Prince Frederick Ford in Maryland. We worked out a deal with them and flew to Maryland on an 8 seat puddle jumper the next day and drove our car home. We love the color and power of our Mustang and have enjoyed many trips in all weather conditions with our club members. I think our license plate M1DL1FE says it all!

THE NAME “DELRIO” IS A TRIBUTE TO MY DAD.

If you asked me if I would be writing it about a different car than the 2005 Roush Mustang I had I would’ve said hell no. I loved that car but acquiring this one reinvigorated my passion for car shows and events!

I have been a Mustang fan since I was a kid and a car that I always wanted to own. I love everything about it, from its rich history which is firmly rooted in so many iconic models to its power and class. If I could own every model that was ever produced, I would. What I can never get enough is the sound. Nothing beats the sound of a V8 rumble and cruising on the open highway. It is my place of peace.

My passion for Mustangs was shared by my late dad who always wanted me to own one. While he did not live to see me own one, I know that he always rides with me. The name “DELRIO” is a tribute to my dad. It was the name of his band during the 1950-60s.

Mods include Roush front, rear, and side skirts, Roush lower high-flow grille, Roush X-pipe exhaust, Roush cold air intake, custom carbon fiber steering wheel, custom embroidered head rests, and P51 20 inch wheels.

MAY BE THE BEST-PRESERVED EXAMPLE IN EXISTENCE TODAY.

Despite popular belief, Ford’s open-air Mustang II efforts were not limited solely to ASC’s “T-roof convertibles.” Similarly to how Ford shipped 1965 Mustang Fastbacks to Shelby American to become GT350s and sent 1976 Mustang II hatchbacks to Motortown to become Cobra IIs; Ford began shipping 1977 Mustang II hardtops and Ghias to Emess Coach Builders in Clearwater, Florida, to become Classic II convertibles. Unfortunately, due to the astronomical price of these conversions, just 24 units were produced – making them only marginally more successful than Ford’s upcoming M81s by McLaren. Five years later, Cars and Concepts would take over Mustang convertible production for 1983 (completing final assembly after it was begun at DAP).

This unrestored original was among the first 10 units produced, is the only one completed in Vista Orange, and sold new at Kayser Ford in Madison, Wisconsin. Having traveled just 8,500 miles since then, this MCA Gold Award winner may be the best-preserved example in existence today. Still utilizing its original hoses, belts, plugs, and air filter; it now resides in Elkhorn, Nebraska, has been featured on Performance.Ford.com, the cover of Mustang Times – and belongs to Robert M. Kennedy (author of UNBRIDLED: The Passion, Performance & Politics Behind America’s Favorite Pony Car).

FANTA - 2016 MUSTANG GT

IT IS MAYBE THE LAST COMPETITION ORANGE BUILT.

Following seeing a pre release S550 in the local dealership as part of the promotion of the Mustang in Australia, I ordered Fanta in November 2015 expecting a 13 month wait time for build and delivery to Tasmania, Australia in December 2016. However due to discontinuation of the color Competition Orange at the end of 2016, I received the car four months early. Fanta was built and programmed late on the evening of June 1, 2016 which was the last day of the production run so it is maybe the last Competition Orange built.

I loved that car but acquiring this one reinvigorated my passion for car shows and events!

The reason for this color is it stands out on the road and is a safe color. Originally ordered as a daily driver, once Fanta arrived it was an immediate decision that this would not be the case and to use it as a weekender or when time allowed. Due to the limited production run of Competition Orange, it is very uncommon to see this color in my state which makes it special.

Mods list includes Di Filippo (DPE) catback stainless 3” exhaust supplied by Bluepower Racing Developments. They give a deep rumble in comparison to the Magna Flow, Xforce etc. It also has cold aIr intake designed for the DPE exhaust by Bluepower Racing Developments, Steeda lowering springs, and Trufiber A53 ram air hood (bonnet) specially ordered through Mustang Motorsport in Melbourne prior to Fanta arriving in Australia. The hood had just been released by Truefiber and was the first to arrive in Australia.

I have always loved being a Firefighter and EMT. I also loved Mustangs growing up. I had that taken away when I was involved in a car accident in 2005. It caused me to develop a neurological condition called Complex Regional Pain Syndrome. It affects my central nervous system causing me to feel like my body is being burned by gasoline. It has been a long road of treatments since there is no cure. I was bedridden at one time for almost a year. I have been in the ICU in ketamine comas, used a walker and a cane, and now I get monthly infusions at home. I have fought long and hard to get better.

My dreams of owning a Mustang came true in 2020. I purchased my 2015 EcoBoost Mustang in my favorite color. It’s Competition Orange. I named the car Inferno. I love driving this beautiful automobile. I have done several modifications including vinyl graphics, Cervini scoops, and carbon fiber/stainless steel trim upgrades to the interior of the car.

I am a member of the Competition Orange Mustang Registry, COMR #0580, the Orange Mustang Registry #0171 and a member of The Mustang Car Club of New England.

Hi I’m Helen Heathman. I call my Competition Orange Mustang “Orange Crush.” I’ve owned my Competition Orange 2015 V6 Mustang since May 27, 2015. I bought it new. Didn’t even get to do a test drive, as it just came in and still needed to be PDI.

This is not my first Mustang. My first Mustang was a 2009 Pony Package V6. My family currently has six Mustangs. My son has two 1989 Foxbody Mustangs - Hatchback and Coupe. My husband has three Mustangs, 1992 Foxbody Convertible, 2014 Track Pak Got To Have It Green, and a 2018 Ecoboost Mustang. We also have a 2013 F150 and a WWII Ford Jeep. A Ford family.

I joined the Facebook page “Mustang Mama – A Group for Women who love Ford Mustangs”, a woman only Mustang club. We do local shows and lunches together.

I have met many women in the Mustang Mama’s club and enjoy hanging out with them. We did many Birthday Cruises during covid together. We are still doing them today. We see each other at car shows and cruises.

AS LONG AS I BREATHE, I WILL BREATHE MUSTANG.

Orange Crush is a 2015 GT 5.0 Competition Orange 6 speed manual. I purchased it in 2020 with only 27k miles. I didn’t care for the color (too reminiscent of Auburn University’s orange - Roll Tide), but after test driving it on a Thursday I returned on Monday to make the purchase. I’m in love with the color now! At the time of purchase everything was stock. Nothing has changed except the add of the Hurst spoiler. Besides future mods which include a cold air intake and upgrading the coolant reservoir, nothing else is planned. I like it the way it is. It’s a head-turner that receives lots of compliments and is often photographed by admirers.

As long as I breathe, I will breathe Mustang. I am now the owner of two, my first being a 2007 GT Torch Red Convertible and am planning to own more in the future.

I learned to drive in a 3-speed 1968 Pontiac GTO, solidifying my love for mean, fast cars. However, my undying love has always been a Mustang. Maybe it’s because the first one came off the production line months before I was born. Maybe not. I just know I wanted one for as long as I can remember. My dad told me it was all I talked about when I was little. There’s nothing like being behind the wheel of a Mustang. It goes beyond pride of ownership. For me it’s a connection on a deep level; almost a relationship. It’s that feeling of looking back as I walk away, knowing it’s mine alone and appreciating the beauty that it is. It is loyalty.

AT THIS POINT I KNEW EXACTLY WHAT I WANTED...

My passion for cars started when I was younger when my father showed up with an Oxford White 1999 SVT Lightning. I was always into cars but that really sealed the deal and ever since I was hooked on Fords. Later on when I was in high school (2011) I had a few friends with New Edge Mustangs and Foxbodys. One of them had a 2003 Mach 1 and at the time I didn’t know all that much about the Mach 1. I figured it was just a GT with a different hood and some stripes. Boy was I wrong! So we went for a ride one day and I was sold after sitting in the retro styled seats and seeing the Shaker hood move around. Fast forward to 2017 and I finally had the opportunity to start looking for a weekend car. At this point I knew exactly what I wanted, it was the same car I had been in six years earlier (03-04 Mach 1) so I started looking everywhere for a Mach 1. Initially I was looking for an 04 DSG Mach 1 but six months later I happened to come across a 2004 Competition Orange Mach 1 with only 27,000 miles on it located in Wisconsin which happened to be 1200 miles away. So I bought a plane ticket, flew out, signed the papers, and had the car shipped back to CT. I’ve kept the car ever since (named it the Orange People Eater) and have no plans of ever selling it.

I met Daniel Ramey at a Beltway Mustang show and won my spot with STANG Magazine in their Carlisle Ford Nationals display. Needless to say I wasn’t sure what to expect being that I didn’t know the people attending and was going by myself.

The STANG Mag family welcomed me in from the very start and made me feel like one of their own!

I was a young boy when I first saw my neighbor and his Foxbody Mustang. That got me into wanting a Mustang ever since. I then fell in love with the New Edge body style. I have had a few in the past years but this one is by far the fastest and most sentimental.

If you asked me if I thought I’d be writing an article for STANG Magazine for my car this time last year I would’ve said no. If you asked me if I would be writing it about a different car than the 2005 Roush Mustang I had I would’ve said hell no. I loved that car but acquiring this one reinvigorated my passion for car shows and events!

I bought this car in 2018 as a stock GT. That didn’t last long as I started putting my own touches to it. It started out with nitrous and now it’s currently boosted with a Vortech v2 and a CX Racing intercooler pushing 12 psi on a safe tune. It has a T56 Cobra 6 speed. My car was tuned to perfection by Marty and Jeff at MO’s Speedshop.

It’s sentimental to me because my Dad lost his battle with lung cancer on Thanksgiving day 2021. He loved to watch me race and really wanted me to get away from the nitrous and boost it. So after he passed I changed the car’s mods and got a supercharger for it.

Dad I hope you are watching from up there. I’m ripping it with that boost!

Mods include 2001 Bullitt motor, 47 lb. injectors, methonal injection, Vortech v2, CX Racing intercooler, Pacesetter long tube headers, Borla s type exhaust, Cobra t56 swap,

4:10 rear gear, orofessionally tuned by Mo’s Speedshop , and I’m sure I’m missing a lot more but not everyone needs to know what’s under the hood!

If you asked me if I thought I’d be writing an article for STANG Magazine for my car this time last year I would’ve said no. If you asked me if I would be writing it about a different car than the 2005 Roush Mustang I had I would’ve said hell no. I loved that car but acquiring this one reinvigorated my passion for car shows and events!

My 1966 Mustang Coupe (Sally) was originally sold new through Beverly Hills Ford. My dad bought it second hand in the early 2000s and it was his daily driver until 2012 when he passed away leaving the car to me.

The car arrived with factory log book, matching engine and chassis numbers, and has Ford under dash air conditioning which still works. The vehicle is located in Townsville Queensland Australia and driven most days only short trips, and to the best of my knowledge, has travelled 103,000 miles. The only modifications are mag wheels.

I am so passionate about my Mustang that I have a tattoo on each arm.

I HAVE BEEN EXTREMELY FORTUNATE TO REALIZE SUCH A DREAM.

I have always been a Ford enthusiast. My first Ford was a 1988 Thunderbird turbo coupe which I still own to this day. Both of my sons Tanner and Taylor helped me work on that car until we completed that project, such great memories. My 07 GT500 is also incredibly special to me.

When I was younger, I dreamed about having a stable of cars. I dreamed of having them in my shop and naming the Thunderbird “Thunder” and my GT500 “Lightning.”

My 2007 GT500 has custom paint throughout the entire car. The stripe running across the top of the car is air brushed snakeskin as well as the side striping of the car. The paint color is a secret, but I like to call it Thermal Nuclear. The car has metal flakes that run throughout the paint of the car which at different times of the day elicits a very subtle but striking light lime green hue. Under the hood is a menacing cobra that brings the attitude of the car together.

Mods include a 2.8 Kenny bell super charger, Mammoth intake, pullies, Kooks long tube headers with a tune. New coil overs in all four corners with custom lower control arms in the rear, pan hard bar, Moser axels, upgraded fuel system and short throw shifter. I would like to thank my broth -

If you asked me if I would be writing it about a different car than the 2005 Roush Mustang I had I would’ve said hell no. I loved that car but acquiring this one reinvigorated my passion for car shows and events!

My love for Fords and hotrodding has been a part of my life since I can remember. My family’s roots date back to early days working alongside Henry Ford, stories of Fastbacks and loud pipes and cheering for Mark Martin throughout my childhood. My first car (still have it) was a 1978 Mustang II King Cobra and turning wrenches on it after school were some of the best times.

Several Mustangs later, I was drawn to the S550 model when it was released and a few years ago I purchased an all black 2015 GT and started making it my own. As a University of Tennessee Alumni, I love everything Volunteer Orange and soon saw this Competition Orange Mustang posted for sale. I knew the black Mustang had to go and shortly after, VOLANT was in the garage and I fell in love all over again. A few bolt-ons later, and this VOL was flying as the name implies. Whether it’s a quick grocery store ride or long backroad cruising, it’s an absolute experience behind the wheel. Love the orange, love the power, and love the thrill! Mods inclulde ESS G3 supercharger, FIC 1000 injectors, Stainless Works headers and exhaust, full BMR suspension, DDS driveshaft, and MGW short throw shifter.
