Mustang enthusiasts have asked for a magazine that has no ads, no sales pitches, and no bogus “fillers” to eat up space. They have asked for a magazine that is free, easy to access, and nothing but focused on Mustang pictures and content. They have asked for a magazine produced and written by Mustang owners. They have asked for a magazine that highlights the daily drivers and the average Mustang that is driven and is not a trailer queen. They have asked for the chance to one day have their ride, their group, their club, or their cause to be recognized in print or online. It is our absolute pleasure to meet these standards and to give you STANG Magazine. We hope that both our message and our image will be seen in every Mustang community out there. I met Daniel Ramey at a Beltway Mustang show and won my spot with STANG Magazine in their Carlisle Ford Nationals display. Needless to say I wasn’t sure what to expect being that I didn’t know the people attending and was going by myself.
THE PASSION CONTINUES!
Over the decades, we have owned many Mustangs from a 2016 GT/CS to a Gold Glow 1972 Mach 1. A few years ago, we sold our 2004 Roush Stage 2 for another project and regretted it. While on vacation in Georgia, I brought up Facebook Market Place and came across a 2008 Roush P51-A Mustang for sale. Taking a look at where it was located, the Roush just happened to be on our route home – fate. So, we said sure let’s go look at it without a commitment. During the 40-minute drive to the see the Roush it went from a “we are only looking”, to when I drove into the driveway a “you are coming home with me”. Once I sat in the car and cranked the engine and heard that rumble and whine of the Roush Supercharger, I was sold!

leather seating with P51 embroidered into the front seats and an aggressive body kit with offset paint to the wing and chin spoiler along with the interior having Roush branded pedals. The engine is outfitted with the enhanced Roush supercharger increasing this 4.6-liter engine with more than 510 horsepower! To keep this Roush planted to the ground are its 18-inch wheels, Roush performance front and rear shocks and sway bar.

This Roush P51-A is limited to 151 serial-numbered copies, with this one being number 49. The Roush is equipped with a powerful supercharged engine boasting 510 hp and torque. Wrapped in Vapor Metallic paint and an olive-green strip down the hood, this Roush wears the badges in the red-yellow checkered colors of the 357th Fighter Group. Which is the name’s sake of the WW-II Mustang “Old Crow” which Jack Roush restored in 1993.

My name is C W Rhodes and this..... this is Annabelle. Her name was derived from the fact that she is mean and nasty and has a dark soul. I’ve been interested in cars most of my life. I used to build model cars and win trophies. I can remember my dad saying “If you continue doing this, someday you will be building real cars.” I guess I’m there, sort of, because here we have Annabelle.
She is a 2012 Stage 2 Roush Mustang. Annie has been through many modifications the few years I’ve owned her. Let’s begin with the paint shall we? The crab claw design flames are hand air brushed featuring a pearl blue base with blue pearl, white pearl and silver pearl small metal flakes. It took three days to lay out a design until one was liked.

And now the power train. The 5.0L was fast. She was quick but I wanted more. Annabelle’s heart was swapped for a 5.2L Aluminator Crate Motor which features a 90mm throttle body, 53lb. injectors, oversize valves (for obvious reasons), 14:1 compression flat top pistons, and a crossplane crankshaft backed up by a dual clutch plate system. She has a 6 speed manual shift top loader transmission feeding a rear end with 3:55 gears. Her best 1/4 mile time (and only time she has seen the track) was 9.63777 at 143 mph. Annabelle has the ability to burn jet fuel. She is autographed by Jack Roush Sr. in three places.
To top off the build, the entire engine bay is covered in brushed and polished stainless steel with blue LED lighting. Annie is still under construction as they are never finished. Are they?

There’s something about the feeling of being behind the wheel of a Roush Mustang. The sound of the cold start, pistons pumping on idle, and the deep roaring sound of the Roush exhaust after dropping a gear or two to make a pass. It’s pure adrenaline and the best kind of rush!
I bought my Roush in July 2022 and immediately feel absolutely in love! It was solid black and since I participate in many car shows and car related events, I wanted to add my own personal and unique touch to the appearance by adding hints of red.

I began with the red hood spears and matching rear panel stripes. But to accommodate the Black Widow name, I had the words “Black Widow II” added in the hood spears along with an embossed spider centered in the hood scoop, catching the eye at just the right angle.Later, I added the classic Roush logo to cover the entire roof. My Roush has earned an award for every show entered since I’ve owned it and in a very short period of time, earned a reputation sought after at local car events.
I joined the Roush Road Crew shortly after purchase but have not yet had the opportunity to attend a Road Crew event, though I did have the pleasure of meeting Jack Roush in person and managed a few additional signatures and photos for my collection. I have yet to meet Jack Roush Jr and Jack Roush III. That time will come soon enough.

This is my 2010 Roush 427R nicknamed “Karla”. It is my sixth Mustang. My first was a 71 Mach1 when I was about 19. I was hooked ever since. Since then I have had a 79, 2003, 2004, and 2006.

I was looking at a Shebly GT and it was going to be my 50th birthday present, but I went into Fette Ford in New Jersey and saw this Roush in the showroom. The salesman asked me if I wanted to drive it and I said nope. I did though and two days later it was in my possession. It just hit 28,000 miles. I am the original owner and I love this Mustang.
The thing I love about the car hobby and Mustangs are the people you meet at a show. Everything else goes away and it’s all about cars. My brother has a 2011 Shelby and it’s something we get to share as brothers. Sitting at Carlisle Ford Nationals and just hanging out having a cigar is the best feeling in the world.

My name is Andy Wood. I fell in love with Mustangs at an early age because of my Dad. He had a ‘65 2+2 289 white fastback. He wasn’t into cars but that is the first car I remember. I bought a ‘72 Mach 1 in high school for $800 and that was my start with Mustangs.
Since then, I have probably owned 20 Mustangs in my life. I haven’t done any modifications on this one since Roush has taken care of that. The only changes I have made are the fuse box cover, the radiator cover, and the front pony have all been painted and dipped by a company in Ohio. My car is named Orange Crush and is one of six Grabber Orange Convertibles with a supercharger and manual transmission.

Mustangs started with my grandfather, who worked at Ford on the Mustang program. I have seen the Mustang grow all my life. It became my passion. My other passion was for NASCAR racing. In with I bought a special 2005 Roush Mustang.

This Roush Mustang was used on a 2005 TV program called Roush Race For the Ride/ Driver X Program. It was broadcast on the Discovery Channel. The design of the program was to find Roush Racing a new NASCAR driver. This particular Mustang was driven by winner Erik Darnell and runner-up David Ragan. Purchasing this was my chance to own a piece of NASCAR history and a very special Roush Mustang. It has many special parts and then some, added by Roush to this Mustang. It’s history is a part that you simply can’t get. It was 1 of 2 drivers used in the program.
Pictures are one thing, but in person, it’s truly an incredible machine.

This Mustang is a 2012 Roush “Rill Roush” Stage 2, fifth generation S197 Coupe. It is all original with the exception of the Roush supercharger put in by Roush after purchase, 5.0L 4 valve R2300 supercharger. It has a Coyote motor with 412 HP supercharged to 540 HP. We enjoy it as is with the exception of a few items we have added such as a little eye candy under the hood.
In addition to loving the ride and speed we can not express enough all of the friends we have made because of our pony! Some of our best friends have truly become family!
To drive a Mustang is amazing but to own one is a lifestyle. The Mustang family is truly amazing! Through all the miles we are forever blessed and look forward to many more adventures in the years to come!

I’ve always loved cars. It was a passion that I shared with my dad from an early age. Whenever we’d go on trips, we’d point out all the cool cars on the road. He taught me about American muscle cars, British sports cars, and everything in between. As I grew older, I’d help him when it was time to buy the new family car. I fondly remember convincing him that a 1979 Buick Century Turbo Coupe would make an excellent family cruiser, which it did.

Sadly, my dad passed away before I got into Mustangs. I would have loved to share this special time with him. Our first Mustang was an ’03 GT Vert. I learned a ton working on that car and soon my wife and I were firmly ensconced in the local Mustang scene. As usually happens, one car leads to another and your buddies start to upgrade, so it was time for a second car. I wanted something that was special but had a budget. We found this amazing 2009 Roush Touring Coupe (RTC) on the web in Ohio and fell in love. 2009 was a weird year for Roush. The new body style in 2010 was coming out so while they were planning on building 2000 RTCs, there weren’t a lot of cars, so they only built 60. Mine is build number 12 and only 1 of 7 in Grabber Orange.
A stock RTC is basically a Stage 3 under the hood with 435HP, Roush lowering springs, interior, body kit, two-tone paint, exhaust, and 20 inch forged chrome wheels. I’ve added a VMP 500 kit (pulley, CAI, and tune), Canton tanks, VMP triple heat exchanger, Roush shocks, rear lower and

Simply put, my passion is that I love the shape of the Mustang. It is perfect in every way. I decided to take a 2018 Mustang GT and modify it with a bunch of Roush and RTR parts from Mustang Motorsport here in Melbourne, Australia and turn my Mustang into a Roush Tribute. This Mustang is now fully equipped with a Roush stage 2 supercharger, Roush coil covers, Roush side scoops, Hurricane headers and high flow cats, Harrop oil cooler, Tru Fiber GT500 hood with carbon insert, DBA 400 Wave rotors and Hawk pads, and Koya SF 110 20x10 and 20x11 wheels.
I also decided to equip this pony with the latest and greatest RTR gear. It is now rocking the RTR upper grille, RTR chin spoiler, RTR side splitters, and RTR LED grille.

THIS IS HOW SMOOTH ROUSH WAS BORN.
I got my first Mustang right out of high school. It was a 1991 GT. Ever since then, I have had a soft spot for the Foxbody. I have had several Mustangs over the years. In 2020, I started looking for another Mustang and stumbled onto a 2013 Roush Stage 3 with 13,600 miles. The car was perfect the way it was, but I can’t leave anything alone. I decided I wanted to do something that you don’t see much. The goal was to make this car a one of a kind. It all started with the engine bay. A complete wire tuck was performed and we shaved the engine bay. In this process, we kept everything operational. Several parts where polished, including the supercharger, overflow tanks, oil separator, master cylinder, and a set of one off valve covers. All the hoses and lines were replaced with braided ones. A Cervini Heat Extractor hood and a GT500 bumper gave this Roush a facelift. The factory brakes were replaced with Wilwood 6 pistons up front and 4 piston in the rear. Velgen VF5 rims wrapped in Nitto tires were added.

If you asked me if I thought I’d be writing an article for STANG Magazine for my car this time last year I would’ve said no. If you asked me if I would be writing it about a different car than the 2005 Roush Mustang I had I would’ve said hell no. I loved that car but acquiring this one reinvigorated my passion for car shows and events!
Second phase of this build involved the interior. All dash pieces were paint matched to the carbonized gray hood scoop. A Watson bolt in roll bar, along with a Laguna Seca crossbace was installed. The Tru Fiber rear seat delete was paint matched to the dash. A set of Katzkin seat covers were installed with blue stitching to color match the roll bar. A custom set of door panel inserts were made to match the seats. The final touches of this build was changing the Roush logo from red to velocity blue to match the roll bar and calipers.
I met Daniel Ramey at a Beltway Mustang show and won my spot with STANG Magazine in their Carlisle Ford Nationals display. Needless to say I wasn’t sure what to expect being that I didn’t know the people attending and was going by myself.
The STANG Mag family welcomed me in from the very start and made me feel like one of their own!
The car has been in several Roush displays. The highlight of having this car was Mustang Week 2022, having Jack Roush Jr drive the car for a ride around Myrtle Beach. This is how Smooth Roush was born. Special thanks to Revolution Automotive and Reflected Images Detailing.

My dad was never really into cars, to him it was just a mode of transportation. My older brother was the one who ignited that fire for me. He had many in the years that I could remember. One year it was a 69 Camaro that he fixed up and raced around the neighborhood. The next year it was a 70 Dodge Charger but the year he brought home a 71 Boss 351 that he swapped the Charger for, that’s when I really took interest in muscle cars. The lines on her were so clean and flowed like nothing I had ever seen before. It was that day that I said to myself I will someday own a car like this. Fast forward to when I was in my 20s and It seemed like I always had projects but was never able to finish them to the point that it made me feel like this is it.

I got married, started a family and put my muscle car dreams on the shelf. Fast forward to my early 40s and I found myself owning a 2010 Challenger RT and a 2010 Challenger SRT8, had fun with them but still something was missing, just did not have a smile on my face when I drove them like I remember having when I was in my brother’s 71 Boss. I sold both and took some time off from the muscle car scene. Fast forward to my late 40s and the bug bit me again. This time I found a beautiful 17 Mustang GT Convertible and it was love at first site. Had so much fun but I wanted more. Covid had just shut everything down. I figured it was a good time to look and see what treasures folks may be looking to part with. Luck was on my side, I traded my 17 GT in for our current beauty, 2019 Roush Stage 3 and let me tell you she is just incredible and so much fun to drive and show. All the bells and whistles from Roush. She rides like a dream. Upgrades that we have done is Phase 1 to Phase 2 supercharger, a higher capacity Roush intercooler that keeps her cooler and bumped up
the HP to a healthy 760HP, more than enough for my wife and I to cruise around with our friends from our “Simply Mustang” club. A beautiful red pin stripe was added to the hood and sides help break up the silver and black Roush stripes, along with some red carbon fiber interior accents. She has also been ceramic coated and PPF film installed by Warren Buff-it car detailing to help protect her flawless paint.

THAT PASSION HAS LED ME TO MEET SOME AWESOME PEOPLE WITH THE SAME PASSION AND

This is my pride and joy affectionately known as The Yetti. It’s a 2008 Roush 427R that I have kind of made my own. I have owned 13 stangs at this point and this one is by far my favorite. After a motor failure last year we decided to upgrade it. With a 4.6 livernois bored and stroked to a 5.0. It has a forged bottom end with Manley pistons and valvetrain, Stage 2 comp cams for the blower which is a 2.3 Whipple sitting on top now with a 10 rib upgrade, and there’s a bunch more as well. Too many to list.
I have had a passion for Mustangs since I could drive basically and that’s along time ago. That passion has led me to meet some awesome people with the same passion and become lifelong friends all because of the same love for this car we call the Mustang.
