CAR NAME–YEAR & MODEL INFO on the consumer was a message that owning a Mustang was equated to a fun, free spirited, and exciting lifestyle. As the images of the Mustang are shown, a very enthusiast voiceover announces “A new generation of Fords, for the new breeds of Americans who want stick shift action and room for four, who collect sportscar badges and trading stamps, who wants the elegance of a European touring car and until now had to settle for basic transportation… Mustang is the one car that is designed to be designed by you”.

MEMBERS OF THE STANG MAG FAMILY ARE MORE PASSIONATE ABOUT FUN AND INCLUSION THAN THEY ARE THEIR CARS AND THAT SAYS A LOT!

Mustang was marketed as a groundbreaking car and it was. The Mustang had a completely unique style, so Ford wanted to create a young fresh culture to go with the car which resulted in 418,000 units sold in its first calendar year.

If you asked me if I thought I’d be writing an article for STANG Magazine for my car this time last year I would’ve said no. If you asked me if I would be writing it about a different car than the 2005 Roush Mustang I

Whether you love it or hate it, you know what a Mustang is and that is every marketer’s dream. To market a product so well that it becomes a household name. Proudly this culture still rings through today. Whether you’re a kid or at a retirement age, the Mustang brings out the inner kids in all of us. Now we all know that the original Mustang was originally designed as a secretary car, but we have Lee Iacocca to thank, who reached out to Carroll Shelby shortly after the release of the Mustang and asked for a significant change. Well, that’s gonna be next month’s article! So for now, enjoy your Mustang and proudly continue this 60 year old Mustang legacy.

I met Daniel Ramey at a Beltway Mustang show and won my spot with STANG Magazine in their Carlisle Ford Nationals display. Needless to say I wasn’t sure what to expect being that I didn’t know the people attending and was going by myself.

The STANG Mag family welcomed me in from the very start and made me feel like one of their own!

Members of the STANG Mag family are more passionate about fun and inclusion than they are their cars and that says a lot! I can’t wait to see what’s to come in 2022!
