TASK: MODELLING THE FACADE IN REVIT, INCLUDING MAKING ALL THE NECESSARY FAMILIES.

LOCATED IN THE CENTRAL AREA OF TIRANA, THE BLLOKU CUBE IS THE NEW MULTI-PURPOSE CENTER DESIGNED BY STEFANO BOERI ARCHITETTI. THE PROJECT - CURRENTLY UNDER CONSTRUCTION, JOINS THE TOWN PLANNING OF THE ALBANIAN CAPITAL TIRANA 2030. THE FACADE CONSISTS OF A CURTAIN WALL, AND A SECOND SKIN OF ANODIZED ALUMINUM SHIELDING CONSISTING OF SQUARE MODULES OF 110 CM ON EACH SIDE, WITH THREE-DIMENSIONAL TRIANGLES WELDED INSIDE THEM.

A STUDENT RESIDENCE IN THE ACADEMIC FIELD OF URBAN AGRICULTURAL TRAINING, THIS REINTERPRETATION OF THE ABANDONED CASCINA CASA NUOVE”REJUVENATES THE OLD SITE WITH ADDED AGRICULTURAL SERVICES AND AN INTEGRATED COMMUNAL FUNCTION. THE SURROUNDING LANDSCAPE OF THE CASCINA IS REDESIGNED TO FACILITATE A BROADER CONNECTION AND UNIFICATION OF THE BUILDING AND ITS SITE WITH THE SURROUNDING AND WIDER CITY THROUGH THE ACCOMPANIED AGROCOMMUNITY AXIS.

AGROCOMMUNITY AXIS

A DEVELOPED NETWORK OF CASCINAS ALONG AN URBAN AXIS WHERE EACH CASCINA CORRESPONDS TO AN ACTIVITY OF IT’S OWN AND TO THE NEEDS OF IT’S SURROUNDING COMMUNITY. CASCINA CASA NUOVE ACCOMODATES A COMMUNITY CENTER WITH AGRICULTURAL ACTIVITIES HANDLED BY VOLUNTEERING STUDENTS WHOM RESIDE WITHIN THE CASCINA’S RESIDENCE. THE ULTERIOR MOTIVE IS THE INTEGRATION OF THOSE WITHIN THE SOCIAL HOUSING COMPLEXES OF THIS ZONE WITH THE LOCAL POPULATION THROUGH AGRICULTURAL ACTIVITY. TARGETING MAINLY CHILDREN FROM NEARBY SCHOOLS AND OCCASIONALLY REHABILITATION PATIENTS FROM THE DON GNOCCHI FOUNDATION THROUGH A CONTINUOUS PEDESTRIAN AND BIKE DRIVEN GREEN AXIS CONNECTING FROM PIAZZA SEGGESTA TO PARCO DELLE CAVE.

EXPOUNDING ON THE DISCONNECT IN THE HILLS OF DOMODOSSOLA ITALY, FROM THE PRESENTLY EVER GROWING SOCIETY OF THE MODERN CITY, THE IDEA TO CREATE A SOCIAL ANXIETY DISORDER CENTER AT GHESC WAS BORN. THE PHOBIA IS CHARACTERIZED BY INTENSE FEAR IN SOCIAL SITUATIONS, CAUSING CONSIDERABLE DISTRESS AND IMPAIRED ABILITY TO FUNCTION IN AT LEAST SOME PARTS OF DAILY LIFE. THE DESIGN IS CENTERED ON THE PATIENTS GRADUAL IMPROVEMENT OR CURE FROM THE DISORDER USING DESIGN TECHNIQUES, WHICH ENFORCE UPON THE PATIENTS THROUGH A STRUCTURED SENSITIVE MANNER, A SENSE OF EQUALITY AMONG THEMSELVES.
