Hyannis High School Coach Rediger is making her first appearance as a Head Coach in the West Nebraska All Star Volleyball Game. She has been coaching volleyball for nine seasons at Hyannis and has an overall record of 78-32. In 2011, Hyannis was the District Runner-up. Prior to coaching at Hyannis, Rediger coached in Oregon and led her teams to the State Tournament in 2002 and 2003 and was named as the Mountain West Coach of the Year in those same years. Coach Rediger is the mother of two children.

Michelle Stevens Bridgeport High School This is the first coaching appearance for Coach Stevens in the West Nebraska All Star Volleyball Game. Coach Stevens has been a volleyball coach for 18 years. In that time she has an overall record of 288-215. Stevens helped lead Bridgeport to State Volleyball Tournament appearances in 2009 and 2010. She has been named the Coach of the Year and Assistant Coach of the Year by the Scottsbluff Star Herald. Coach Stevens is married. She and her husband Tim are the parents of two children, Ashley and Eric.

Amy Beyer Hershey High School

This is Coach Beyer’s second time coaching in the West Nebraska All Star Volleyball Game. She served as the assistant coach for the East in the 1998 game. Beyer has been coaching volleyball for 25 seasons at Hershey. In that time she has an overall record of 376-234. Her 1997 team was the State Runner Up. Beyer has led Hershey to the SPVA Conference Championship seven times. In addition to coaching in the West Nebraska All Star Game, she has also coached in the Nebraska Coaches Association North-South game and the Sertoma Game in McCook. Coach Beyer has been married to her husband Mitch for 25 years. They are the parents of two children, C.J. and Drew.

Coach Wenz is making her first appearance as a coach in the West Nebraska All Star Volleyball Game. She has been coaching volleyball for 3 years at Arapahoe High School. In her coaching career she has had many players achieve All State and All State Honorable Mention selection, RPAC team selections as well as having players selected to play in All Star games including the Sertoma and West Nebraska contests. This past season he led Sidney to a 7-4 record and their first District Title in 19 years, as well as their first playoff win in 20 years. This past season he led Medicine Valley to an 8-3 record before losing to Stuart in the Class D-2 Playoff Quarterfinals. Clint Hosick Medicine Valley High School

Coach Hosick is making his first appearance in the West Nebraska All Star Football Game. He has been an assistant football coach for 24 years in both Colorado and Nebraska. He was a member of the Flatirons League Coaching Staff of the Year in 2009. During his 24 years coaching he has been part of teams which made numerous playoff appearances Coach Hosick is married. He and his wife Tara are the parents of two children.

This is Coach Sloups’ first time coaching in the West Nebraska All Star Game. He has been coaching football for the past 3 years, two as an assistant coach and this past season as the Head Coach. He has an overall record as a head coach of 5-4. Prior to coaching at Sutherland, he was an assistant coach at Hartington where he helped them win their first playoff game in school history. In his first year at Sutherland, he helped them break to 20 game losing streak. Coach Sloup was named the 2013 Huskerland Preps D-1 Coach of the Year. Sloup is single and the father of an eight month old.

Bill Madden MVP Awards

One of the reasons the West Nebraska All Star Games have evolved into premier events was the coverage provided by long-time area sports writer Bill Madden. Madden retired from the Gering Courier newspaper in 1991 after 59 years of writing. He remained active in the high school athletic scene as a member of the West Nebraska All-Star Sports Board of Directors before passing away. Madden spent 48 years covering high school sports in Nebraska. He began his professional career in Hastings in 1943 as sports editor for the Tribune. In

1955 he became the sports editor for the Scottsbluff Star-Herald. In 1975 he moved to the Gering Courier. Over the years he covered thousands of high school sporting events.
