Business/Management Quality System Audit Training

This course is directed at anyone with a need to know the basics of a quality management system with emphasis on the ISO9001:2008 Quality Standard. This course will be conducted in three, three-hour sessions at the Stark State Hoover District office. Training includes basic quality and process concepts, the process approach and management principles and the requirements of ISO9001:2008. Skills for Effective Supervisors

Designed for first-line supervisors who want to enhance the skills necessary to get the job done in a changing environment, this noncredit course is structured to address your specific needs. Sample topics include organizational culture, planning and leading, appraisal of employee performance, improving departmental productivity, goal setting, dealing with change and problem solving. Essential Office Skills

Introduction to several of the Microsoft Office Suite programs; including, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. This course features a hands-on introduction to the basic features and workings of the ribbon, backstage view, saving, printing, and opening documents. Additionally, the course covers copying data from one program to another within the Office Suite and managing multiple programs. By the end of the 8-hour session, participants will be able to use the various applications to create and format basic documents, spreadsheets, and presentations. Captioning Boot Camp

This course is designed to teach in-depth realtime/caption skills. Topics include how to research specific shows, how to evaluate writing skills for captioning, how to present captions for writing news, sports, weather and other broadcasts, development and management of specific captioning dictionaries, advanced instruction on captioning style guidelines and utilizing specialized captioning software for reporting in broadcast environments.
