A result was expected post auction from interested parties unable to bid under auction conditions. In the corner of the popular Offshore Noosa Resort, it has a north-east-facing terrace/courtyard with river views. Marketed by Scott Cowley and Kelsey Melville of Noosa Estate Agents, the townhouse attracted plenty of interest with about 100 inquiries and inspections throughout the campaign. “The local buyer had limited time to get in and had to make an offer prior,’’ Scott said. “We have been dealing with a lot of locals … close to 50 percent of clients, even though there is ongoing interest from interstate. “It went to multiple offers, and was a
really good result in the end.’’ Scott had sold the property to seller three years earlier, and signed this contract three years afterwards to the day. Some new listings in the background from Scott and Kelsey include a house at Peregian Springs. Meanwhile Sam Plummer and Angela Wood have a couple of good properties that have come on to the market. The four-bedroom, two-bathroom, two-car house with pool at 42 Shipyard Cct, Noosa Waters, goes to auction Tuesday, December 14, at 2pm. IDEAL ASPECT Chrissie Baker of Laguna Real Estate had five registered bidders at 3/7 Lake St, Tewantin, on Friday for the auction of the three-bedroom, two-bathroom apartment. With Justin Voss calling the event, the opening bid of $1m knocked out a few, leaving just two to fight it out. With north-east aspect to the Noosa River, the apartment offered a number of living spaces and decks. It sold at $1.150m to a local buyer with existing property interests in the area. Other interest was local as well as from Brisbane and a new resident. MOMENTUM BUILDS It started out slow but the momentum began to build late in the auction campaign for the two-bedroom, one-bathroom townhouse at 3/8 Hilton Tce, Tewantin. Warren Evans of Laguna Real Estate had one registered bidder on Friday night, then on Saturday at 9am a woman rang from Melbourne wanting to register. Then another phone bidder and one late local bidder registered on site. The original townhouse offered filtered views of the Noosa River and auctioneer Justin Voss held the auction on the open land neighbouring the small complex. A start of $600,000 saw bidders going hammer and tong to $650,000 then in $1000s before it sold at $681,000 to a local buyer intending to renovate.
