FOLEY – Benton County 4-H club members explored 4-H project areas March 19 during Benton County 4-H Project Adventure Day. The program took place at Foley Intermediate School in Foley. Participants chose four of 12 sessions which included photography, cake decorating, owers, rabbits, horse and fashion. Bright colored frostings were available to youth to use during the cake decorating session. “I think it is really easy and fun to do,” said Lyla Timpe, a third grader from Oak Park. “I’m hoping my mom will let me decorate a cake to be judged for the Benton County Fair.”

Participants sampled four of 12 project areas at the event. On the other end of the cafeteria, there were owers as participants learned about plants and gardening. “I made a gardening shadow box because I enjoyed decorating the box by taking things

with similar colors and coordinating them together to look nice,” said Audrie Marshik, a fourth grader from Rice. “I am thinking of bringing this shadow box and other items to the Benton County Fair this sum-

mer to be judged.” During a rabbit session, youth leaned into the middle of the table to pet the rabbit.
