Leading the Addison Bemboom Parents: Joel and Trisha Bemboom Accomplishment: Senior on the Sauk Rapids-Rice girls track and field team. What is your favorite aspect of track and field? The team environment we have created. We are all extremely supportive of each other and proud of each other’s accomplishments. After every race, there is always someone at the finish line to give you a huge hug and congratulate you.
ety, Link Leaders and Storm Leaders. What annual SRR event do you look forward to each year? Homecoming is by far my favorite annual SRR event. The week of homecoming is always super busy with sporting events and school activities, but looking forward to the Friday night football game and the homecoming dance makes it all worth it. Every student getting involved and showing their Storm pride is exciting to see.
What has been your most memorable moment on track and field team? After meets on the bus ride home, we all get to celebrate each other’s successes and bond over our shared exhaustion from the day. I will miss these long bus How do you make a difference at school? By rides home, laughing and celebrating the day we leading by example and participating in school activities. By showing off my school spirit and had. excitement. I hope other students will feel more What other activities are you involved in at comfortable doing the same. Creating a welcoming SRRHS? Student council, Minnesota Honor Sociplace for all has been my goal for my four years at
the high school and getting involved has allowed me to do so. What do you do for entertainment? I love spending time with my friends whether we are shopping or simply playing a board game. I also enjoy spending time with my family and traveling to new places. Of all the things you are learning, what do you think will be the most useful as an adult? The lesson of teamwork. Participating in sports and clubs has taught me that in life you will always have to work with others. Being a team player means you do what is best for the team and not yourself. As I continue through life, I know adulthood will require me to work with others as a team, and sports have taught me how to do so. What is your favorite restaurant and what do you order? My favorite food is ice cream, so I have to say Dairy Queen, and my go-to order is the cookie dough Blizzard.
