Rice Area Farmers Market soon to be underway Thomes is lead organizer this year BY MAURA WENNER | STAFF WRITER One of many joys of summer are farmers markets. The Rice Area Farmers Market, which takes place in the parking lot next to Veterans Memo-

Previously, the Rice Women of Today organized the market. While members are lending a helping hand, this is the rst year they placed the work in Thomes’ lap.
