OBITUARY
Josefina E. Escobar
Josefina E. Escobar was born on March 18,1935 to Crescencio and Josefa Escobar and raised in Escobares, Texas. She married her husband Gilberto Escobar of 52 years on May 5, 1957.
Fina was a loving wife, mother, sister, aunt and cousin. She attended Roma High School until the 10th grade, then decided to stay home to help support her family.
Fina was a waitress for a time in her late teens, then married and became a full-time wife, mother and homemaker. Fina’s hobbies consisted of cooking, quilting, and collecting beautiful bells which she kept in her special curio cabinet. She was very proud of her collection and shared where they came from and who gifted them to her. She will always be remembered for her love of laughter, unconditional love and devotion to her family. Fina was always a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, cousin and aunt. Fina was an outstanding cook and baker many sought out her famous Pan de Polvo that would often be
requested for weddings and other special occasions. Her greatest joy was caring for family. The proof of her love showed when she held her children in her warm and loving arms, assuring them that all would be well. Wherever Fina went she was the life of the party, making people laugh was a pleasure to experience. Fina braved through many storms that came her way even until the end. Her love and dedication to her husband, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren never wavered. Fina will forever be remembered with admiration, love and selfless devotion, but above all LOVE. She was known to us as “Ama” and embraced being referred to as “Ama” by others.
