Rep. Cuellar Helps Secure Nearly $10 Million for Summer Meal Reimbursements in Starr County Meals are reimbursed through USDA’s National School Lunch Program (NSLP) and School Breakfast Program (SBP) On Wednesday, June 15, 2022, U.S. Congressman Henry Cuellar (TX-28), announced $9,955,285.46 in federal funding for the reimbursement of summer meals for children in Starr County.

Last summer, Starr County students received $6,275,522.71 worth of lunches and $3,679,762.75 worth of breakfasts through the National School Lunch Program (NSLP) and the School Breakfast Program (SBP). These programs provide nutritionally balanced, low-cost or free lunches to children and reimbursements for nonprofit breakfast programs.

1953 Spring King and Queen Coronation picture was taken at the Rattler High School Stadium. This coronation was held to raise funds for the Immaculate Conception School, each of the contestant had to raise money, the one that would raise the most would be the King and Queen. Queen was Fabiola Arredondo (don’t recall who the kind was).
