I, Raul “Roy” Peña, proudly announce my candidacy for re-election as your County Commissioner for Precinct 2 for the 2022 election and humbly ask for your support. Having served as your Commissioner for the past 4 years has been the greatest and most rewarding experience of my life. During these years, I have successfully completed multiple projects that have responded to the needs voiced by the citizens of Precinct 2. Despite the challenges caused by the Pandemic, my office took all of the necessary safeguards for our employees as they continued to serve you and your community. maintenance yard • extended paving and covered parking lot for county trucks, machinery, and vehicles • continued maintenance of all county roads in our precinct • maintenance of facilities, recreational areas, community roadways • fiscal responsibility and excellent use of county funds • construction of drainage channels to divert flood waters I am well aware of the problems related to flooding in some of our neighborhoods. My office has already taken several measures to alleviate this problem. Key projects that are in the planning stage include: • flood control to avoid flooding within the City of Roma and the east side of Pct.2 • the construction of the interceptor-drainage channel

Rio Grande City Grulla ISD hosted their Grulla Homecoming Tailgate Party, on Friday, October 22, 2021. Members of the community enjoyed free food, and music where Gators played the Zapata Hawks. Our Superintendent of Schools, Mr. Adolfo Peña Jr., as well as some of our Board of Trustee members enjoyed talking to attendees and helped the central office staff and several campuses pass out food and drinks. Responses received after the specified time and date will not be considered and will be returned unopened. Facsimile responses will not be accepted. All responses must be submitted in a sealed envelope. Responses need to be clearly marked on the envelope with the RFP number. The successful respondent will not be determined on opening date. Responses will be studied and be taken into consideration by the Board of Trustees.
