Still feeding hungry fans When the fans speak, the music world listens. And when they released the first single after a 20-year break in 2013, the fans spoke loudly. The single, Email, was quickly followed up by the album This Is Not The End, which soared to the top of the ARIA charts and generated a response from an army of hungry fans wanting more. Baby Animals delivered with a whirlwind round of TV, radio and press appearances, festival shows and a huge national tour in 2014. Band members Suze DeMarchi (vocals), Mick Skelton (drums, percussion), Dave Leslie (guitar) and Dario Bortolin (bass) also released This Is Not The End – Fully Loaded Deluxe Edition, featuring live versions of the band’s biggest ’90s hits including One Word, Early Warning Warning, Rush You and Painless – the anthems that kept their debut album in the number one spot for 16 weeks in 1992 and delivered eight platinum sales and five ARIA awards. The band’s list of achievements includes ARIA chart awards such as best album and best debut album for Baby Animals, best group, best single for Early Warning and best new act. Suze was also inducted into the West Australian Music Industry Hall of Fame. And Baby Animals has no intention of slowing down. With more albums and tours in the works they plan to continue feeding their hungry fans for years to come.

Jason Singh’s Taxiride to fame
White Summer turns up the heat
Front man of Aussie band Taxiride, Jason Singh is also a successful solo artist and has recently released his critically-acclaimed debut album, Hummanequin. Taxiride became a sensation after testing their demos on the unsuspecting public in a friend’s taxi – hence the name. The band played countless sold-out shows and produced two Top 5 ARIA platinum selling albums and six Top 40 ARIA charting singles, including Get Set, Everywhere You Go, and Creepin’ Up Slowly.
A few years ago, two young lads made a decision to pack their bags and move from the picturesque coastal hinterland of Phillip Island to busy Melbourne. In the bright lights, Jimmy Stanfield and Michael Barnsley met Anthony and Alex Zielke. This talented foursome has since exploded onto the music scene as White Summer. With Jimmy on lead vocals, Michael on guitar, Anthony on bass guitar and Alex on drums, they’ve had a massive 12 months of gigs, sharing their blues rock sounds with a fast-growing fan base. Since the release of their latest single Smoke Screen in June, the boys have been busy recording a new extended play, What I’ve Been Waiting For For, with producer Burke Reid at Grove Studios in New South Wales. They then took off on a winter tour around Australia performing shows in Victoria, NSW and Queensland. Songs such as Head in the Sand, I Know a Place We Can Love are just the start from this exciting new rock band.
Mark Gable: a Choirboy with a rock soul As the lead singer of Australian rock band, Choirboys, Mark Gable has been entertaining fans for 30 years. With much-loved hits such as Run To Paradise, Boys Will Be Boys, Struggle Town, Guilty and Never Gonna Die, the iconic Choirboys have multi-platinum albums and epitomise the essence of Australian pub culture.

Cameron Henderson has got talent When you live your life by the motto: ‘Live your dream, there is no harm in doing what you love and always remember where you came from’, it’s little wonder Cameron Henderson has achieved the success he has in such a short time.
his family to perform on the TV show Australia’s Got Talent with his son, Taylor. Much to his surprise, the self-taught musician captured the attention of viewers with his blues and folk tunes combined with his original lyrics about real-life experiences.
The Geelong-born singer-songwriter grew up in a family of cattle farmers. He credits James Taylor as his greatest musical influence, and still remembers the first time he heard him on the radio.
Cam finished runner-up in that year’s grand final show and music is now a major focus of his life.
Cam began his musical journey at the age of 12 when he received his first guitar. By the age of 18 he was writing songs, and although music was always part of his life it took a backseat for several years as he focused on a career as a builder and started his own family. In 2010, a then 43-year-old Cam was encouraged by
He released his debut album Angels Without Wings in 2010, featuring 11 original songs he wrote, and a duet with son Taylor and backing vocals by daughter Bridey. Songs included These Two Strangers (about the life story of his mum and dad) and Three Beautiful People, a song he says is his most precious to date. Cam is working on his next album, Throw the First Stone.
Emma’s singing the blues When she was younger, Emma sang country music with her mother and five uncles as a member of The Donovans, but she felt herself drawn to her father’s blues record collection. She became a regular at the Tamworth Country Music Festival and quickly established herself as a solo artist in her own right, touring and recording with many of the mainstays of indigenous music. Years later when she met the members of Melbourne soul outfit The PutBacks, Emma knew she had found a band with the blues-toned soul that so perfectly matched her own. The PutBacks bassist Mick Meagher quickly became a co-writer and collaborator on the soul songs Emma had
been waiting a lifetime to write and sing. Her distinctive husky voice conveys her love of blues and performing, and her lyrics tell stories that she sings with confidence and pride. Through her focus and contribution to community initiatives, Emma has developed a strong connection to her people – something she remains committed to continuing. Together, Emma Donovan and The PutBacks have worked with HopeStreet Recording on an album titled Dawn. It will be released through Australia, the UK and the US, and in keeping with the true spirit of soul – it will also be released on vinyl.

McInnes brothers Joel, Alan, Brian and Dean share a love of music, thanks to a childhood filled with family sing-a-longs. They’re now sharing that passion with others as Australia’s newest and most colourful children’s entertainment band, the Mik Maks. The brothers write and perform their own songs, engaging children through the use of colour, fun and movement.
