Pedestrian street as a public space
The planned site is located in a small town 小aslano, in Lugano district, Switzerland.The project proposed to convert the main street from the transit directions in a more comfortable and safe pedestrians space. Caslano SNL
The first part of the project is the study of the initial situation. The research revealed that the Stazione street and the surrounding public spaces are characterized by a large space for transport. While the pedestrian area is only one-third of the total width of the street.

Directly in the project proposal, a new Stazione street design is characterized by interesting geometry not only for plan but also for the volumetric planning elements such as hardscape, urban furniture etc... It is also proposed placing a new bike line that connects to the existing one and continuously throughout the streets.
