What is the Maryland Marketing Partnership? The Maryland Marketing Partnership (MMP) is a public-private entity that operates the State of Maryland’s “Open for Business” advertising campaign. The primary goal of the MMP and the campaign is to improve Maryland’s business image, attract new businesses to the state, enhance established businesses, create jobs, and raise awareness around the great opportunities Maryland has to offer.
Why was the Maryland Marketing Partnership created? MMP was created to develop a branding strategy for the state, market the state’s assets, encourage the location and growth of new businesses in Maryland, and grow the economy. The partnership works to tell the story of why and how Maryland is a top location for starting a business, getting a world-class education, having a great quality of life, and more.
Annual Campaign Reach 100+ million through advertising, trade shows, social media, newsletters, and web. The “Open for Business” Campaign is recognized as positively impacting Maryland’s business climate perception.
