Useful information concerning your health and safety in Rhodes Χρήσιμες πληροφορίες που αφορούν την υγεία και την ασφάλειά σας στην Ρόδο EN In the case that you are injured or in need of medical attention while you are in Rhodes, the National Health System of Greece is required to provide you with first aid and emergency services if you go to the public hospital or health center. Pharmacies are plentiful in Rhodes and offer a wide range of products ranging from over the counter and prescription pharmaceuticals toiletries & other medical supplies. But with various safety precautions it can be completely avoided to a large extent. When on the public transport always wear a money belt & keep valuables in a backpack. Avoid wearing expensive jewellery. CuRRENCY

The monetary unit in Greece is the Euro and no other currency is accepted. It is best to exchange money at banks or official exchange agencies. Travellers Checks are also readily accepted and if you are low on cash ATM machines are readily available. Personal checks are not accepted in Greece and although credit card use is widely accepted in the large cities, some of the smaller villages in the island may have limited acceptability. BOOkiNG

Полезная информация о здоровье и безопасности во время пребывания на острове Родос Если во время вашего пребывания на Родосе вы поранитесь или почувствуете се б я п лохо и вам потре буетс я медицинская помощь, Национальная система здравоохранения Греции обязана предоставить вам неотложную помощь в государственной больнице или медицинском центре. На Родосе много аптек. В них вы можете найти широкий ассортимент лекарственных средств, отпускаемых по рецепту или без него, туалетные принадлежности и медицинские товары.

клИмат Климат на Родосе умеренный. Здесь солнечно почти круглый год. На острове высокая влажность. Вечерами бывает прохладно, поэтому на вечернюю прогулку берите с собой легкую кофту.

ВоДоПроВоДная ВоДа Качество питьевой воды на Родосе очень хорошее. Нет необходимости покупать бутилированную воду, как на других островах.

ВожДенИе Будьте осторожны, когда находитесь за рулем. Вождение в туристический период требует повышенного внимания. Валюта

Государственной валютой Греции является евро. Никакая другая валюта не принимается. Лучше всего менять деньги в банках или официальных обменных пунктах. Принимаются дорожные чеки. Во всех банкоматах с помощью банковских карт можно получить наличные деньги. В Греции не принимаются личные чеки. Несмотря на то, что в крупных городах распространено использование кредитных карт, в небольших деревнях их могут не принять. БронИроВанИе

In the prestigious area of the Great Rotunda cultural and artistic events, festivals, concerts, exhibitions, banquets, weddings and corporate meetings are very often organized. In the area of Kallithea Springs shot several films with well-known artists from Greece and abroad. Foreign landmark movies is "The Guns of Navarone", "Zorba" etc. - 9 - Filerimos MAP 1, Vi 2 & MAP 5 A-b 4 It is located at the ancient acropolis of Ialyssos. Follow the comfortable road between green pines and amazing view. The comfortable path with spectacular views leads us to the church of the Prophet Ilias, and after a few more sharp turns to Filerimos. There is ample parking in the shade of a giant tree & tables for refreshments and coffee right next to the entrance to the monastery Filerimos. The monastery is dedicated to Virgin Mary and was built in the 13th century. Opposite the entrance of the monastery is the entrance to the holy road: a road paved with bronze representations of the Passion of Jesus and of His ascent to Calvary. At the end of the route, before us stands a cross 18 meters tall. One can climb the round iron staircase that exists inside and admire the view from the horizontal part of the cross. A view unspeakable and full of beaches, green forests as a green sea, villages and airport. - 10 casTles The castle of the Grand Master Ntemily at Archangelos village (Map1, VΙ4). The Monolithos castle (Map1, I6) on the rocks where the Knights of St. John overlook the sea. The medieval castle of Kritinia (Map1, II4) , known as Kastellos that combines the Byzantine style with the medieval one. The castle of the Knights of Asclepius (Asklipiio) (Map1, IV6) with cisterns and the great wall. All built in the 15th century, all with free admission, all the grandiose witnesses of history of the island.

Στον χώρο της Μεγάλης Ροτόντας διοργανώνονται πολύ συχνά πολιτιστικές & καλλιτεχνικές εκδηλώσεις, αλλά και δεξιώσεις γάμων & εταιρικές συναντήσεις. Εδώ γυρίστηκαν αρκετές ταινίες όπως «Tα κανόνια του Ναβαρόνε», «Αλεξής Ζορμπάς» κ.α. -9ΦιλέρΗμοσ MAP 1, Vi 2 & MAP 5 A-b 4 Βρίσκεται στην Aκρόπολη της αρχαίας Ιαλυσού. Ο άνετος δρόμος μας οδηγεί στο εκκλησάκι του Προφήτη Ηλία και μετά από λίγες ακόμα απότομες στροφές στην Φιλέρημο. Υπάρχει άνετο πάρκινγκ, τραπεζάκια για αναψυκτικό και καφεδάκι και δίπλα ακριβώς είναι η είσοδος για το Μοναστήρι της Φιλέρημου. Η μονή είναι αφιερωμένη στην Παναγία και χτίστηκε το 13ο αιώνα. Απέναντι από την είσοδο του Μοναστηριού είναι η είσοδος της οδού του Μαρτυρίου: ένας λιθόστρωτος δρόμος με μπρούτζινες απεικονίσεις των Παθών του Ιησού και της ανάβασής Tου στον Γολγοθά. Στο τέλος της διαδρομής, ορθώνεται ένας ψηλός σταυρός 18 μέτρων. Μπορεί κανείς να ανέβει την στρογγυλή σιδερένια σκάλα στο εσωτερικό του, και να θαυμάσει την θέα από το οριζόντιο τμήμα του σταυρού. - 10 - κασΤρα Το κάστρο του Μεγάλου Μαγίστρου Ντεμιλύ στην Αρχάγγελο (Map1, VI4). Το κάστρο της Μονολίθου (Map1, I6) πάνω στον θεόρατο βράχο από όπου οι Ιωαννίτες Ιππότες αγνάντευαν το απέραντο γαλάζιο. Το μεσαιωνικό κάστρο της Κρητηνίας (Map1, II4), γωνστό & ως Καστέλλος. Το κάστρο των ιπποτών του Ασκληπιού (Ασκληπιείο)(Map1, IV6) με τις στέρνες και το μεγάλο τείχος. Όλα τους χτισμένα τον 15ο αιώνα, όλα τους με ελεύθερη είσοδο, όλα τους μεγαλόπρεποι μάρτυρες της Ιστορίας του νησιού.

Lady of Filerimos as well as the Cavalry – a stone paved road with fourteen copper engravings placed on bases, representing the Stations of the Cross are some of the sights you should see. KAMIROS / ΚΑΜΕΙΡΟΣ [MAP 1, III3] ΕΝ Kamiros, like Lindos and Ialyssos was one of the three powerful cities of Rhodes. Kamiros was inhabited from prehistoric times to the early Christian era. The city of Kamiros was built amphi-theatrically on a hill and on its highest spot stood the unfortified Acropolis of the town of Kamiros. On the Acropolis one can see today remains of the Athena temple as well as a 6th BC century cistern and a Stoa of a 200 metres length. The private houses of the city, to the north of the Acropolis are very well preserved and interesting to visit. LINDOS / ΛΙΝΔΟΣ [MAP 1, V6] EN Lindos is situated in the east part of the island, 50 km from the town of Rhodes. It was a powerful Doric city-state and together with Ialyssos and Kamiros played a leading role in the history of the island. Lindos town is a very busy one with a great number of shops, tavernas, bars and coffee-shops.

Worth visiting in Lindos are: • The cruciform church of Our Lady, with its octagonal cupola, the unusual bulfy and the 17th century wall-paintings. • The churches of St. Nicholas, St. George, St. Minas and St. Demetrius. Built between the 17th and the 19th century. They are usually built behind a tall wall, the courtyard is paved with pebbles and the gates are richly decorated with arched or rectangular lintels. IBRAIM'S MOSQUE ΤΖΑΜΙ ΤΟΥ ΙΜΠΡΑΗΜ ΠΑΣΑ [MAP 4, L9] ΕΝ Ibraim’s Mosque is located at Sofokleous Street in the old town of Rhodes. It is the oldest Islamic monument of Rhodes town, built in 1531, only a few years after the occupation of the Turks. It is still used for religious ceremonies and services of the Islamic community of Rhodes. Ibraim’s Μosque is a worth visiting monument, while being in Rhodes. GR Το Τζαμί του Ιμπραήμ Πασά βρίσκεται στην οδό Σοφοκλέους στην παλιά πόλη της Ρόδου. THE BUTTERFLIES’ PARK ΠΕΤΑΛΟΥΔΕΣ, ΠΑΡΚΟ ΤΩΝ ΠΕΤΑΛΟΥΔΩΝ [MAP 1, V3] ΕΝ The site of Petaloudes (butterflies) is situated 26 km from the town of Rhodes. It is a lush green valley with a little river running through it. The site is beautifully arranged, with smaller wooden bridges, stone steps and many pathways. The Valley of the Butterflies is a very nice natural park, where from June to September, every year thousands of butterflies used to appear (nowadays not that many). You can walk in this wonderful place under the shadow of the trees and admire the multicolored butterflies. The scent of the pine resin, the coolness of the site and the butterflies make this site attractive to visitors, who really enjoy their stay in it. Sushi selections, fresh salads and various finger food that will ideally accompany your drink or favorite cocktail were added. The custom made cocktail list still remains the flagship of Mozaik, with about 15 signature cocktails that will tempt you to try as many as you can. The dj’s music selections include pop, swing, soul and international music hits that harmoniously blend with the modern area of the island’s hot spot..
