Itinerary Day 1 Arrive in Beijing and, after being welcomed by your guide, head

over to your accommodation. Take a guided tour through Beijing’s Hutong areas before indulging in a welcome banquet, which offers your students the chance to sample the local cuisine.

Day 2 Today your students will visit a local university where a guest lecture

will be delivered on a subject of your choice. We recommend technology-based seminars. Later, your group will explore the best exhibitions in the Science and Technology Museum. In the afternoon, enjoy some freedom to discover the city at your own pace and shake off the jet lag.

Day 3 In the morning your students will take a trip to The Great Wall.

WHAT YOU CAN ADD:

In the evening, see a stunning acrobatics show before returning to your accommodation and taking an overnight train to nearby Shanghai.

Day 4 Start early to embark on the Huangpu River Cruise and spot

landmarks and areas of development along the way. Later, witness the power of industrialisation by visiting the Oriental Pearl TV Tower and witness some of the latest technological advancements to hit China.

Day 5 Today you’ll take a trip to the Shanghai Science and Technology Museum. Then head for a spot of culture at the Bund and Yu Garden. Transfer to Beijing in the afternoon.

Day 6 Enjoy your last day in Beijing with one final activity, a trip to Lama

Temple and Monastery. In the afternoon, your students will catch their flight back to the UK.

WEST COAST USA It’s not all sunshine and surf. Silicon Valley has introduced us to some of the most forward-thinking technologies in the world, so it’s only right your students explore them.

Itinerary Day 1 Arrive in San Fran and ease your students into a new time zone

with an exciting activity. Escape from the Rock is a 90-minute cruise where your students will sail around the infamous maximum security prison, Alcatraz. It was formerly pinpointed as an ideal prison location as escape seemed impossible due to the surrounding currents and dangerous tides. Tonight will be an early night.

Day 2 Start the day with a trip to the Silicon Valley Innovation Centre,

where the group will enjoy a keynote presentation from the CEO Andrey Kunov. Leveraging more than two decades of experience in Silicon Valley, Andrey will be talking your students through innovation and technology. Your group will be mixing with the best of the best on a Stanford University Campus tour, sure to get the brains boggling!

Day 3 First up is a visit to Googleplex, the famed HQ of a company which is undoubtedly one of THE major players of our generation. Leaving with insider knowledge, your group will head to the Intel Museum to go behind the scenes of the original Silicon Valley success story.

Day 5 Today your students will be heading to the big leagues! That

means a trip to Apple HQ and Apple Store, to see how science and technology is used in the modern day by big firms. Here they’ll find out what it takes to stay one step ahead of the competition and unfold this success story from start to finish.

Day 6 Time for your group to embrace their inner Elon Musk with a day

trip to Tesla. On this experience, they’ll be learning about the interlocking nature of technology and transportation.

Day 7 In the morning, your students will gather for breakfast to discuss the findings of their trip, before you all transfer to the airport to catch your evening flight home.

Itinerary Day 1 The first stop of the day is the Science Museum, where the group

can get up close to all the exhibits, including the Mathematics Gallery. This exhibit explores famous mathematicians and their ideas that have shaped our world. In the afternoon, head over to the Natural History Museum which contains a range of changing exhibits on natural evolution through to earthquakes and unexplained theories.

Day 2 Go deep into the mind of neurologist Sigmund Freud by visiting The

Freud Museum, home to awesome memorabilia and some of his unfinished theories. In the afternoon, students will have their fingers on buzzers at the British Museum Maths Challenge, where they’ll be separated into small teams to battle it out and see who comes out on top!

Day 3 On their final day, your students will discover modern-day science in action at the CSI Forensic Workshop. They’ll later enjoy a 3D printing workshop specifically geared towards STEM, engineering and design. It’s here they’ll apply the latest technology to some modern-day problems and get to grips with the basics of 3D printing.

AMSTERDAM

Be ‘Dam sure you don’t sleep on the advancements of our favourite canal-ridden city. This is the city that really does have it all, from out of this world space expos, to diverse ecosystems and impressive displays of wildlife.

Itinerary Day 1 Arrive in Amsterdam and settle into your centrally-located

accommodation. In the afternoon, your students will be taking off at the Space Expo - astronaut suits and all! Set foot on the Moon surface and see a full-scale model of the Eagle and the Apollo 11 Moon Lander. In the afternoon, get acquainted with the human anatomy at the Body Worlds exhibition. You’ll find a whopping 200 real plastinated bodies on display here, so you’ll be able to learn heaps.

Day 2 Your students will be spending the whole day at NEMO Science

Museum. Located just 45 minutes out of the centre, this museum is a hub of technology, modern day science and historical revelations. In the evening, enjoy a group meal and discuss the lessons learned that day.

Day 3 On the morning of their final day, the group will head to Artis,

a famous zoo and aquarium where students can learn the diversity of animals worldwide. Their final afternoon will be filled with an Amsterdam canal cruise, the perfect way to spot the ecosystem of the city. Look out at the colourful buildings and cyclists navigating their way around the city.

GENEVA

Don’t fix what ain’t broke! A trip to CERN, the European Organisation for Nuclear Research, is a tried and trusted hit with science students.

Itinerary Day 1 Land in Geneva and head out for the afternoon. Your students will

have some time to soak up the sights before visiting exhibitions at the History of Science Museum, located inside a pretty neoclassical building. In the evening, you’ll all enjoy your first group meal.

Day 2 Head to CERN for a packed day, where science can be seen in its

rawest form. A guided tour will give your group an insight into some of the research being developed by key stakeholders here. Your students will get to grips with everything from the fundamentals to the far out, before returning to their accommodation.

Day 3 On the morning of their final day your students will be embarking

on a boat cruise on Lake Geneva, the largest lake in Central Europe. This is an easy pace to take in the sites and see the ecosystem of the canal come to life. Before heading home you can stop off at the Energy Pavilion, an exhibition at the SIG Energy Pavilion telling the story of electricity, including the mysteries of its production. Learn through a variety of mediums, including models, films and interactive activities.
