EHCP Learning Development

Project Search is a one-year employability programme based at the Royal United Hospital. It has an unrivalled success rate in supporting young people with learning disabilities into employment, either at the Royal United Hospital or in various partner employers in the local area. Project Search is designed for young people with an Education and Health Care plan (EHCP) between the ages of 18 and 24 who need some extra support in developing the skills needed for successful, paid employment. Students complete three placements lasting for 10 weeks each in various departments at the hospital. There is a large variety of placements available which cover most of the main career choices. Whether or not they intend to work in a hospital, Project Search can tailor an individual programme to their requirements. They are supported in their learning by a teacher and an employment support coach and this support continues once they are in employment. If you, a student or a parent / guardian would like more information, please contact the Project Search teacher, Tony Kelly, by emailing tkelly@fossewayschool.com or calling 01225 824756 or visit their website—CLICK HERE
