The backbone of every business is its finances and a sharp accountant keeping things balanced and organized. But beyond that, accounting careers take many different forms, including financial analyst, auditor, fraud and forensic adviser, tax manager, internal auditor, and more. Our nationally accredited accounting program offers a strong foundation in qualitative and quantitative business skills, giving you the flexibility and acumen to pivot careers quickly as the business environment changes. Plus, many students earn well-paying internships along the way, so they graduate with experience and a résumé boost.

CAREER PATHS TO EXPLORE CONTROLLER

Guides high-level financial decisions for an organization and is part of the strategic leadership team. They provide financial guidance and oversee all aspects of the financial statements

AUDITOR

Provide assurance as the integrity of management’s financial statements while employing critical financial thinking skills and a risk assessment process while ensuring compliance with accounting standards

FINANCIAL ANALYST

Help provide and analyze financial data to aid in making a variety of business decisions

INCOME TAX PREPARER

Stay on top of ever-changing tax legislation and help individual clients or businesses review financial records, prepare, and submit annual income tax returns

LEADERSHIP: Emphasis on educating accountants to lead and influence.

CAREER CONNECTIONS: Highly networked faculty who can introduce you to a wide range of careers and connect you with internship and job opportunities.
