INTERPRETING
Are you interested in how people communicate?
Would you like to use American Sign Language (ASL) with the Deaf community as a career?
Are you looking for a meaningful career where every day is interesting?
ASL/English interpreters make sure that deaf and hearing people have access to communication anywhere that talking happens. Interpreters are in doctor’s offices, schools, workplaces, and even make phone calls home for family. There is a high demand for ASL/ English interpreters around the U.S. St. Kate’s nationally accredited program has small class sizes, no larger than 15. St. Kate’s is also at the heart of a rich deaf/deafblind/hard-of-hearing community. At the end of the program students do an internship to get work experience and take the knowledge portion of the national certification test.
