Class scheduling

Major, Liberal Arts and Elective Courses: Online

Complete all major, supporting and elective courses in an online format Many online courses are asynchronous, allowing students to complete weekly assignments as their schedules allow.

Courses with lab-based components are also offered online. There may be hybrid options available (blending online and on-campus meetings), for students interested in that format. Consult with an advisor to learn more about hybrid course availability.

Graduate school options

After completing your bachelor’s degree, build on your experiences with one of St. Catherine’s graduate programs, where you may prepare for advanced roles in healthcare.

Made for busy adults

We understand that adult students have many responsibilities, and finding time to complete a college degree can be challenging. That’s why St. Catherine works individually with each student to create an experience that supports you academically, and helps you balance the family, financial and career aspects of your busy life.

• Personal Advisors to guide you through course selection, registration and degree completion.

• Financial Aid Counselors to access loans, grants and available scholarships.

• Academic and Disability Support to sharpen math, reading, writing and study skills, and offer services for students with disabilities.

• Career Development Resources to build professional connections and help you meet your career goals.

Lab-based component

One PTA-specific major course includes lab-based psychomotor and cognitive components, to provide advanced focus on hands-on skills beyond what was addressed in your associate-level degree program. The combination of lab and coursework in the bachelor’s program supports your development as a knowledgeable, reflective and ethical leader prepared to make a difference in today’s health care environment.

How to apply

Applicants for the PTA: Bachelor’s Completion program must have a CAPTE-accredited associate PTA degree from a regionally accredited institution. Applicants who are not currently licensed PTAs are expected to obtain licensure prior to competing this bachelor’s program.
