Preparation is the key to maximize your test score in order to maximize scholarships and attend the college of your choice. Each component of the test prep program focuses on the most essential skills students need, including the latest and most proven test-taking strategies and tips. Review each section of the test while learning tips, mastering strategies and reviewing the skills necessary to do well on each section. A test prep pre-test will be given the first night and then analyzed to show strengths and weaknesses. Bring a calculator and #2 pencil to class. SPRING BREAK CAMPS Cake Decorating and Cupcake Crazy Camp (Ages 7-12)

Do you love to create delicious treats for your family and friends? Discover how you can make homemade icings, and learn the techniques the professionals use for decorating cakes and cupcakes. Create your own themes working in teams and design your own cake on the last day. You will be going cupcake crazy bringing home lots of cupcakes, all designed and decorated by you! ActivStars Self-Defense/Karate (Ages 4-16) Classes are designed for each age group with an emphasis placed on teaching personal safety and stranger awareness. Students learn discipline, respect and personal responsibility. Karate techniques are taught to be able to increase in belt rank. $8 per 45-minute session for beginners, payable at each class; $9 per 60-minute session for advanced, payable at each class. Is your child interested in dance, but you don't want to spend a fortune at a dance studio? Let our experienced, energetic dance teacher introduce your child to a combination of beginning ballet and tap. Dancing teaches coordination, self-confidence and expression. Photography II – Beyond the Basics

This method is based on the concept that children can be taught to play an instrument in much the same way they learn to speak. Enrollment is limited. These classes are available for all ages and are also offered for traditional violin and viola. One-hour private lessons plus weekly group sessions. Payment plan available! Most users are unaware of rich features built into MS Word to make authoring a book much easier. Learn how MS Word can automatically create a table of contents and index and update the page numbers on them as changes are made to your text. LEARN HOW TO CATCH AMERICA’S FAVORITE PANFISH Crappie University is an 8-hour course taught by crappie pros and guides about the newest and best techniques to help anglers of all skill levels learn how to catch the species year-round. New and unique ways to catch crappies under a variety of conditions are constantly being found and refined thanks to continual cutting-edge developments in lures, line, rods, reels and electronics. All sessions are taught by knowledgeable crappie experts and the course is packed full of fishing information relevant to our geographic location.

Black & White Photography Learn to see the world in shades of gray through your camera. Black and white photography emphasizes the relationship between visual elements of an image. Learn how to see, think and compose images with a black and white mindset. The class will cover how to set your camera to take black and white images, and various software methods of converting images from color to black and white. Because St. Charles Community College Continuing Education (non-credit) classes are self-supporting, the decision to run a class is based on the number of people enrolled. The college reserves the right to cancel if sufficient enrollment is not achieved. Refund Policy: If you drop a class, you will receive a 100 percent refund if the class is dropped one business day before the first meeting or earlier. No refund will be given if the class is dropped the day of class or later. Events which may require more advanced notice to cancel include, but are not limited to, certain business and industry classes, conferences, trips, day trips and other special events. If you have a situation that warrants an override of the above policy, an explanation of the circumstances should be made in writing to the Division of Corporate and Community Development. The appropriate associate dean will review the situation to determine if a refund can be granted and will notify you accordingly. Refunds should be received within 30 days.

Inclement Weather Policy: In the event of severe weather conditions or other emergencies, the SCC president may cancel classes and close the campus for a partial or full day. The college will update the SCC website (stchas. edu) and main number 636-922-8000, send a text message through the Emergency Alert System, and contact selected radio and television stations, when the timing of conditions allow, by 5:30 a.m. for day classes and no later than 4 p.m. for evening classes (if bad weather develops during the day).
