THE STONITE STORY Stonite Chairman, Roberto Contreras, has been in the surfacing industry since 1987 and has founded and owned several highly successful companies, including CSC North America and Cosentino North America and increased sales from $0 to over $300 million. Mr. Contreras first met his business partner, Stonite President Chester Layne, in 1997 when his former company Technimar Industries pioneered quartz in the U.S. Mr. Layne then became a Certified Silestone Installer, growing into multiple markets and building his own company as well. After starting Stone Systems of Orlando to grow the Silestone market in Florida, Mr. Layne’s shop would regularly install as many as 45 kitchens per day. After being acquired by their partner Cosentino, Mr. Layne was appointed to Regional Director, where he oversaw 8 shops around the nation. Upon discovering the new opportunity to begin Stonite Surfaces, Mr. Contreras and Mr. Layne partnered once again to bring their industry expertise to Central Texas.

TURNKEY PROCESS Product, Fabrication, & Installation Our state-of-the-art machinery is one of the details that sets Stonite Surfaces apart. Our fabrication shop, proudly located in San Marcos, is unrivaled in Texas and the surrounding markets. We are able to fabricate projects of any size or scale.
STEP 1
Design Consultation: Clients can visit our showroom, where we gather all pertinent information about your project and get preliminary measurements. With these two items we can give an accurate initial quote. Preliminary Bid: Once your initial quote is reviewed and confirmed, then a technician is scheduled to perform the physical measure template.
STEP 2
Digital Template at Jobsite: Our measure technician will perform the laser template and review the project details for accuracy. Once complete, the final project cost can be generated from the onsite measurements and information is returned to our customer service team.
STEP 3
Customer Service Final Review: The customer service team reviews the project information with the customer for accuracy and the job is sent to logistics. Logistics will then review the CAD drawings for accuracy and give the customer service team a confirmation date, so the job can be scheduled for installation with the customer.
STEP 4
Fabrication Process: The material chosen for the project is cut to the specific dimensions taken at the property and goes through rigorous Quality Control at each phase of the fabrication process.
STEP 5
Installation: Once installation is complete, the team will review the completed project and make sure it meets the expectations of the general contractor, architect(s), and/or interior designer(s). Our installation manager will be on site during the process to ensure accuracy and compliance, then answer any questions that may arise. 16
